Welcome to the CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend still least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning,
Luncheon was very nice yesterday. Lots of teary eyes. Manager has worked for dealership for 25 years and is going to be missed.
Dottie - it takes quite a while to recover from jet leg and as soon as you do it will be time for the clocks to change.
Ruth - it’s nice to have that Hawaii vacation to look forward to every year.
It rained almost all day yesterday. No water in basement thank heavens. No major CBing today, just general cleaning. The rest of this week should be sunny and cool.
See ya tomorrow

Good afternoon all. Got into the NP this am, and no surprise she’s sending me to the dermatologist. Whenever I can get in. In the meantime she called in a stronger med than cortisone 10 to stop any itching. Topical rather than more prednisone. While waiting around for my mammogram, I got a migraine. Took my meds in the changing room for the mammogram and got it taken care of. Drove home with a migraine even tho I really hesitate to drive with one. Should have picked up the prescription and some other groceries but just wanted to be home. We’ll go out after Mara & Stan wake up from their naps.
Stan woke up in AFib again this morning and OMG is he a grouch!!! Last bout only lasted less than a day so hoping for that this time. Made him snap at me because I had to repeat 2 or 3 things I tried to tell him. He’s gotta get hearing aids soon!!! He doesn’t have a clue how frustrating it is from the outside looking in either!!! His tinnitus is what makes it hard for him to get hearing aids he thinks. Who knows!!
I have 2 gals coming to pick up baby clothes in a while. I listed a few more things this morning before I went to my appointments. Need to list so much more. But I’m just happy to be back listing and selling. Have a 3rd gal interested in some things so hope she buys!
We will run to the store when Mara is up and the gals have come and gone. Thinking taco salad for dinner. It’s one of DH’s favorite summer meals. We both have some things we want to make, so are going to try younger DD’s methods. She plans out a week worth of meals, does the shopping, then as the week progresses she makes whichever meal works best with that day’s schedule. If she has a lot of late day running around she’ll do a crock pot meal for example so it’s ready when they are all home. Other days she can cook at dinnertime. We have a few things in mind that will fit this schedule for us.
And with DIL having the surgery end of month and us having Mara for 2 weeks solid (at least), we will be making double batches of some things and getting things to them to heat up for dinners. She & I talked about it a little last night and she has friends who want to do a dinner-train schedule of meals. I told her to give them my email and I’ll fill in nights we are taking Mara home and can drop off meals or picking her up and drop off meals. And she has a friend who gets furloughed every November for the last 2 weeks of the month and has said she will come every day and help with Mara and meals and all. And I told the I would take care of all laundry during the 8 weeks. It’s my specialty and hopefully I can get them caught up and get stuff sorted and organized. May offer to go help clean house before the surgery so it’s clean for her friends to come and help out. I know they need to remove a mattress and shampoo carpets from their older cat urinating on things before he was put down.
Ok, hope everyone is having a good day. I have some headache left from the migraine and want to rest for a while until those gals come. Will check back in later this evening.

Joyce, yea for no water in your basement. We need rain here. It rained last night for about 30 minutes but it was just a light rain so didn’t do the lawns much good. We are about back to normal with the time change. We are going on our river cruise in November, actually leave here the evening on October 30 and land on the 31st but the cruise starts on November 1st. I hope it doesn’t take us as long to get back to normal after that trip.
Ruth, your DIL lost a lot of weight. I knew the skin reduction surgery had a recovery period but didn’t realize it was 8 weeks. Will she be paid while she is off? Sounds like you have a good plan for getting DS and DIL’s house organized, hope they let you help. Sounds like you will be very busy with Mara also during that time. Hope you don’t have to wait too long to get to see the dermatologist? The wait for an appointment here is ridiculous. I called for my full body check in July, my appointment isn’t till November, although they did ask if it was an emergency. Great job on all the sales. Hope Stan feels better soon.
I had some running around to do today and also of course more L. I have dinner ready to put in the oven. I want dishes and kitchen cleaned up so I can enjoy TV tonight. Two of our favorite shows are on, New Amsterdam and This is Us. We can watch them on demand but hope I can stay up tonight to watch them. Today was cooler than yesterday, but still warm for September.
