Today is always more powerful than yesterday.
Since we are ending this challenge period & we have just ended the summer season, maybe we could take a quick look back before we move forward with a new challenge period and the fall season.
1. Did you meet your challenge for this period?
2. Looking back, what would you do differently?
3. Looking ahead, what can you do to make things better in the new season.
4. What can you do to keep yourself active and healthy in the up coming weeks & months.
5. What is your favorite fall activity?
FUN: Have you ever ridden in a sleigh?

1. Did you meet your challenge for this period? Yes, but not quite as I'd envisioned it. I thought I'd find/create some sort of 10 minute routine. I have ended up being aware of moving, stretching throughout the day.
2. Looking back, what would you do differently? I'm pleased with where I've ended up with this. I'm sticking with the same plan for then next round to solidify the habit more.
3. Looking ahead, what can you do to make things better in the new season. As I thought about choosing a challenge, I thought back on some others from the past. I can/should remember those as well. (stay hydrated! Can seem even harder when the temps are not hot, but I need to do this.)
4. What can you do to keep yourself active and healthy in the up coming weeks & months. Continue to get outside to walk or find alternative. Keep in mind that foods typical for colder weather (soup, for example) don't have to be heavy (broth soups vs cream based, for example).
5. What is your favorite fall activity? Nothing in particular stands out. Simply enjoying the cooler, less humid weather.
FUN: Have you ever ridden in a sleigh? No, I haven't.

I did not meet my goal. I got in some exercise but nothing consistent. I tried to do 10 minutes at a time for 3 different times but I don't think I ever managed to do that, sometimes once.
I just have to make myself do more, perhaps set a timer to remind me to get up and do something. I think mostly it is a matter of just being determined to move my body.
There is nothing special I like to do in the fall, although I do enjoy getting my garden veggies picked or pulled and stored and getting the garden put to bed for winter.
I have not ridden in a sleigh, but my dad did have a flatbed with wooden runners that he used for hay and hauling things in the winter. He would sometimes take me to school on it. It was horse pulled.

I have done pretty well with my goal, which was exercise. I started off with a bang, doing about a 30 min routine every evening, then my old knees gave out, so I had to scale back to things than don't impact my knees. I have done pretty well considering.
Looking back, I wish I hadn't put so much pressure on my knees to begin with, I wish I had started out slower.
Looking ahead, I want to keep up with the exercising, it makes me have more energy & strength, just need to move a bit slower.
I love everything about the fall, I love the cooler weather.
I have lived a big portion of my life in the south, so I have never ridden on a sleigh, always thought it would be awesome.

1. Did you meet your challenge for this period? I realized by focusing on the healthy guidelines I needed to refocus on limiting refined sugar. Thatβs been my focus the last few weeks.
2. Looking back, what would you do differently? Iβm pleased with how things went.
3. Looking ahead, what can you do to make things better in the new season. With the holidays ahead I will continue to focus on limiting refined sugars.
4. What can you do to keep yourself active and healthy in the up coming weeks & months. I will continue to focus on working the WW plan and following the healthy guidelines.
5. What is your favorite fall activity? Watching the colors change and spending time in Breckenridge.

1. Did you meet your challenge for this period? no. No matter how good my intentions, I can't seem to track for more than a meal or two. I even went back to some of my old WW tracking journals and found that has always been a problem for me. 2. Looking back, what would you do differently? I think that part of my problem is that it is hard to track the plan without a smart phone and the WW app. I have been thinking that I should go back to an older plan where you could use the calculator. 3. Looking ahead, what can you do to make things better in the new season. See above. 4. What can you do to keep yourself active and healthy in the up coming weeks & months. Put on my rain gear and still get out and move. Gardening clean up is in progress (tonight I have to mow the lawn for the first time in a month before it rains this weekend).
I know that I don't walk as much as I did before I hurt my knee, but like Beverly, I just need to take things slow.
5. What is your favorite fall activity? Cleaning up the garden and hiking up in the hills around Eugene to see the changing leaves.
