WELCOME TO REGULAR & NEW POSTERS! This thread is full of encouragement & suggestions. New people, welcome! We encourage you to jump in. One day, one hour, one minute at a time is easier to handle than a week, etc. Lurkers, join in
Our goal is 21 days Binge Free (studies show 21 days to break old habits & start new ones!). Whether we make 21 or one, the point is to learn as we go, replace binges with other things to help us through stressful times. Some days are harder than others & we may slip; that's OK. The Binge Monster is in the shadows waiting to pounce. Hopefully this thread provides inspiration, courage, & support to become a Binge Survivor!
You may see different folks on different "Cycles." A Cycle is a 21 day block of consecutive binge-free days. Stay with us for as many cycles as you'd like.
Everyone's definition of a BINGE is different. The Oxford Dictionary defines a binge as a spree of eating and drinking. To many of us, BINGE is defined as "eating without dignity." The dictionary defines "dignity" as a calm and serious manner or style, showing suitable formality or indicating that one deserves respect. Only you can define what a binge is for you. Going over points, as long as it was done with dignity and journaled (thereforeacknowledged and "owned") isn't binging--it is up to you to decide.
SPECIAL THANKS TO LESLIE5609 for starting this challenge on the Out of Control Board, in August '02, and thanks to all who keep it going.

We had a nice win on our home field last night. Our photographer was there so I’m looking forward to some good pictures. She does a great job with action shots. Our record is now 7-2-2 :-). The roofer is finally starting today. Usually they can put a metal roof right on top of the existing roof, but the insurance company wants to check for storm damage and they also want an ice and water barrier put on.
Lori, I loved your pictures on Facebook. You look great!
Kathy, I don’t have a trip planned at the moment. My birthday is next month and I think I’ll ask for a couple of nights away. No idea where, but I need a break. I looked up the Liberty puzzles—beautiful!
Nancy, mmmmmm carrot cake.......

Busy day catching up at work....but so worth the time off....
Nancy, I made my cheesecake in the big oven and it wasn’t brown. It was a little jiggly but I read in her notes that was normal. Did you make it in the toaster oven? I find when I bake in the toaster oven, I have to put it in the bottom groove and watch it - it does make things brown on top....I also make the muffins in the big oven since the cupcake pan doesn’t fit....interested to hear how it taste...
Jan, Great game last night!! Hope they got some good photos!! Thanks for the compliment - much appreciated! I have to say I feel really good at this weight.... Good luck with the roof! We’re scheduled to have trees removed next week and waiting to get quotes back from the roofers. DH wants to go with a traditional roof since no one else in the area has a metal one (I prefer the metal look)...
Kathy, DD use to do puzzles all the time. Thinking of sending her one for Christmas...thanks for the mentioning...
This time when we were away, Both days, I was hungry around 3:00 and knew we wouldn’t be eating dinner till 7 or 8 so instead of having my usual snacks, I chose a slice of pizza. I figured this will be an experiment....I’ll get on the scale tomorrow and see how it worked....

Saw the eye doctor today. He said the eye looks fine. Next one this Friday. I was disappointed to learn that I won't get my new eyeglass prescription for a month. Remember that mammogram scare about six month ago? Well the follow up mammo and ultrasound are scheduled for next week. Hoping for a good report. The Golden Years <g>.
Jan - nothing like a win and a new roof to lift your spirits. Hope you can arrange that getaway. Any thoughts about where you might like to go?
Lori - The cheesecake was delicious. I was afraid the liquid eggs would make it watery but that wasn't the case. It was nice and solid. I do place it on the lowest rung in the toaster oven. Next time I'll watch the top and take it out sooner if necessary. I have the whole quarter for 1 pt and 150 calories. It is REALLY filling. What a nice addition to my bag o tricks. The pizza should be fine. You were on vacation for goodness sake.......
