Took the laptop computer in and they think it is the adapter portion of the charging cord. They said there is a chip in there the computer reads and that is probably burned. My daughter thinks the wonky electricity here causes the burnout as it did on the last computer we bought in the USA. If this fixes it I will look for or ask them if they have a stabilizer that I can plug into the wall before plugging in to recharge. Fingers crossed that the order will arrive in a timely manner and fix the problem. I won't have to pay for it if it does not fix it.
I have most of the leftovers gone so will focus on getting rid of the rest and getting back OP. Planning to have some of the black beans with salad and make brown rice that will become a sort-of taco salad.
LYNN: Have fun in Rhode Island and enjoy the weather. It is crazy the way it can be hot one place and cold another.
BEVERLY: Hope you enjoyed the ice cream parlor time with friends. Is that your 14 year old grandson in the photo? What a handsome young man he is!
CHERRY: I can't believe it is so cool where you live...and snow? Wow! We haven't had rain for months and it is still warm though it does cool down at night. Who will help you with your harvesting?
PAM: I think I missed where you are going...wherever it is...have fun!

Hello dear beaches,
Yes, that is my precious grandson in the picture!! He is smart, funny, handsome, sweet and almost grown up I can't believe that he is 5'10" tall!! He wears a large in a man's shirt & a size 10 in a man's shoe!!! Seems like yesterday that he was a baby. He is our only surviving grandchild. To say that we adore him would be an understatement!! Sometimes I think he has too much pressure on him, we have to let him grow up.
I didn't get to go to the ice cream parlor yesterday, DH's drs appt went over too long. By the time we got back to town, it was too late to go. Sorry I missed it, but glad not to be tempted by the ice cream.
Today is the luncheon for the soup kitchen. I have made cupcakes & am taking a loaf of zucchini bread from the freezer. Seems as though they are always short of deserts. I enjoy the people there especially the children.
Great Saturday everyone!

Good morning. If you're referring to my garden veggies, I will do that by myself. I have carrots to pull, cut off the tops and store them in my root cellar. Same with the beets, although with the beets I'll probably put them in plastic bags and store them in the extra refrigerator that is down in the basement. The rest of the garden veggies are already done, although I still have to pull the pea vines and the tomato and squash stalks. I picked the last of the chard last evening. As far as the grain crops go, I cash rent the farmland to neighbors, so getting that done is on them. I'm not sure if they're done harvesting or not. It has been an unusual fall weather-wise. It isn't usually as cool or rainy as it has been this fall, and we don't often get snow this early. I doubt it will last any time at all here and it doesn't sound like much is expected. I would like a little of your warm weather, Bev, and I'm sure you'd like to be able to send me some. This afternoon I will be going into town for Mass, a few groceries, and pick up a prescription. Also plan to get a few things done in the house before I leave, plus walk on the treadmill. Have a good day, beaches.

Hello all! We had a good sleep and went out for breakfast , went to a farmers market and stopped at a few other stores. I picked up a new dutch oven for soup making as my favorite one bit the dust. Tonight we will head out for a seafood dinner and more relaxing. Tomorrow I will pick up a few things in the commissary begote we head home. Have a lovely evening!

Late check in. I got many things checked off my to do list. I got to Pets Smart so the animals have plenty of food while we are gone. The best part of the day was my mani/pedi which also included a chair massage.
Cathy: Paul and I are leaving for Breckenridge in the morning after church. The aspen should be at their peak. Weβre grateful for being able to take this get away.
Keep smiling everyone.
