zazzles , borntexan , thanks. I realize that WW is just a business. My old leader used to email or call people when they missed meetings. She left in 2014 and I don't think the leaders we have now get invested in the members that come to meetings. It's more impersonal and that mindset starts at the top. Thanks, Mindy! Because I attended meetings weekly from 2008 forward until our meeting was cancelled early this year, I remember changes as they came along. In my mind, WW’s feet got onto this destructive path during the POINTS years. That was when leaders were told to stop contacting members who missed meetings. Then came PointsPlus which, at first was great; but, in the 2nd or 3rd year of PP, the scripted (canned) meeting topics started coming out. Prior to PP I remember our leaders still prepared their own graphic flip charts to illustrate whatever topic they were presenting. The TVs in meeting rooms came in during PointsPlus. They used to have product ads running on them (maybe they still do), but in our meeting we insisted they turn those of so that we could socialize before the meeting started. You know I’m no fan of Mindy, but she really has just amped up and increased the (negative) direction that WW was heading before she arrived. I do think, however, that the program changes that will roll out had better have something that appeals to everybody. Because if it ends up bring back members who left and causes current members to leave, netting no major increase in weekly attendance in the long term, I would expect WW to show Mindy the door and go looking for a new savior. Who knows…if things don’t turn around significantly, maybe Oprah WILL buy WW and then it WILL be her company. And that could translate to: BREAD IS ZERO POINTS!

You get a loaf of bread and you get a loaf bread and Oprah will keep hers hidden somewhere on the OW ranch.I can't believe I actually used the ranch's name.

I attended WW meetings for almost 8 years and made 90% of the meetings. I knew most of the people in my meeting including the receptionists and leaders at my studio. I tired of the program this spring (it wasn't working for me and I started gaining) and when my weight went up so that I was over the 2# limit, I stopped going to the meetings. I'm still tracking in the app and have free etools until 2024 or 2025. While I get the occasional email from WW with the newsletter from Mindy and recipes, etc. I have not received any email about my absence from the meetings. I'm actually a little surprised I didn't get an email asking why I stopped coming to meetings. I would think that being a regular member for so long, that someone would write to see how I was doing. For all they know, I moved away, got sick or even died. Even my leader, whom I've known for 4 years, hasn't written or called. Does that seem strange? Maybe I'm expecting too much from this organization. But, if I'm being honest, it has hurt my feelings I was surprised to get an email saying that Team WW missed me at the meeting. I remember when I lost 50 pounds (years ago) and my leader at the time sent me nice postcard congratulating me on the loss. That was the last one I received. I did not get one when I lost 100 pounds. I think the personalization of Weight Watchers is a thing of the past, unfortunately.

Gee, I never get any emails.
They've probably read my opinion of them here.
*waves to Mindy*

zazzles , if Mindy isn't here, she should be. She'd learn more in an hour reading this board than all the "surveys" they are sending out.
