diva49,- There always seems to be more than I thought when I start list making I meet with the Principal and Director of Special Ed today to talk about becoming a district employee. I'm excited, scared, nervous, sad, happy. I want to work in this building, the company I work for now is in such upheaval I don't know where they'd place me. But any change is scary

Good morning! HAPPY HUMP DAY! I can't believe it's Wednesday already; the week is speeding by. hpeterson1951, Good luck at your meeting. Although I don't think you need luck; any school district would be lucky to have you. We're sending you positive Mojo though. Change is scary but you've got this! I'm picking up chick fil-a lunch for DGD12 today and she's invited me to eat with her and her friends at their lunch table. I'm surprised that a 7th grader would actually want Grandma to show her face in the lunch room but I'm up for it! This never happened when her mother was in 7th grade. In fact, parents did not bring their kids lunches like they do today. (unless they forgot their lunch from home. Certainly not to drop off fast food to the kids on a daily basis) I'm interested to see how many other adults are eating with their kids. Waving hi to all! |

Morning all! I'm in. It's taken us forever but, we are finally ready to paint the kitchen ahead of the new flooring. A quick (lol) coat of just-in-case primer, and we're off to the races. It's going up to 90 here today - hard to believe it's October. Thanks DebDoesWW, I don't know how I missed that - must have been away from board myself lol. We're going with neutral walls (I don't remember the name) it's some kind of white but, not a bright stark white. My appliances are stainless. It's not a gut demo like Mike's. I would love to do a fun and interesting backsplash though. |

I hope they hire you and remove half the drama in your life (the drama caused by your current employer). doordie50 , sounds like you’re entering the final stretch with your project. Your post made me think of lmenglish and I’m wondering how her remodel is progressing. DebDoesWW , I made a trip up to the cemetery on Saturday then into San Francisco. There I stood, in my shorts, with a temp of 61°, a brisk wind, and 48° humidity. I was in heaven! THIS is what a San Francisco boy wants weather to be. diva49 , a list? A LIST? What happened to spreadsheets???  I have no plans for today. I did see Downton Abbey yesterday and it was quite the big-screen production. Totally enjoyed it. The theater it showed in is huge and there were 7 of us in it! Tomorrow I have an appointment to take Missy to the vet for a check on her throid. She seems like she may be losing weight again, and her appetite is off the charts. She may need a doseage increase on her med. I hope everyone is having a great day. |

She may need a doseage increase on her med. Poor baby I hope they get her meds adjusted appropriately, but I do want to say that I sighed a little when I read this and was totally green with envy. |

doordie50 I drew the line at the backsplash. The contractor was just (I can't think of a polite way to say what the contractor was doing to me at this point but you get the idea)...... And when I saw they wanted $14.95 a square foot to install freaking backsplash I said no way. It is on my list of things I still need to do. 🤣

Lists are for all the OTHER stuff: * stitch the snow leopard paws for DGD (spreadsheet: bring to The Plantation Friday evening for MissMilla) * log the CVS communications (spreadsheet: SOMEDAY we'll get the right med in, and have to pick up) * folders I already have (spreadsheet: award packages to YM awards ceremony Saturday 10/19) * Blue Magic metal polish (spreadsheet: YM flags & rifles to drill Wednesday 10/9) |

zazzles , Mike your shorts comment in the San Fran weather cracked me up! I was there once and it was most definitely a light jacket and pants kinda day Glad you enjoyed Downton.
DebDoesWW , poor kitty! Hope both you and Mike get your feline thyroid problems back on track. Of course Mike, you'll have to think of something more clever than a pill pocket for Miss Missy lol.
