My meals are very repetitive, so I thought I would post when I try something different. Today, I tried the Trader Joe's Beet Chunks. They are frozen. They cook up in the microwave in 3 minutes. I thought they were excellent. I had them hot today with dinner. However, I purchased them to toss frozen in smoothies. I also always have on hand Trader Joe's Steamed & Peeled Baby Beets. The are in a vacuum packed pouch and have quite a long sell by date. These are terrific in salads. Beets have a lot of health benefits. According to this article they are: Good for Your Heart, They Can Make You a Better Athlete (blood flow), They Can Reduce Inflammation in Your Body, They Can Improve Your Digestive Health, They Are Good for Your Brain, They Have Cancer-Fighting Properties, They Boost Your Immunity, They Can Boost Your Libido,They Are Good for Your Eyes, They Are Good for Your Liver foodrevolution.org/blog/benefits-of-beets/
