Breakfast: pb on toast with nonfat lattee (2tsp insant coffee + splenda + nonfat milk powder + water) and a sliced peach
Lunch: high fiber Lebanese flat bread (pita) with 1/2 cup each homemade tabouleh; green beans cooked with onion, tomato and garlic and spinach with bulgur and onions (cooked). Dessert was fruit salad and nonfat yogurt
Dinner: 2 cups cooked angel hair pasta with 2 oz cheddar and 1/2 cup sauce
BOY does pasta pack a punch with calories...dinner was measured and I squeaked in under calories on MFP but think I need to move to Core again and have whole wheat pasta instead!

Not that it at all tastes the same so it's not a true substitute but I love sauce and cheese on spaghetti squash or various other types of roasted squash. Definitely cuts down on the calorie factor.

zazzles What is this "forgot to eat" of which you speak of? My body has never heard of it before.

I am not sure if there is spaghetti squash in Lebanon. I have always been curious about it but never tried it. I do have a spiralizer and could try to find some big zucchini (little ones are prized here for stuffing so hard to find big ones usually) to use instead of noodles.

Cathy if you could spiralize yellow summer squash that also would probably have a similar flavor to spaghetti squash.

Cathy if you could spiralize yellow summer squash that also would probably have a similar flavor to spaghetti squash. There isn't any yellow summer squash that I have seen in Lebanon. There is zucchini and usually small and hard to spiralize. There may be some spaghetti squash or yellow summer squash at specialty markets...will keep an eye out.Carrots are another vegetable that gets spiralized for noodles. Sweet potatoes, too, but they are heavier in the carb department. CC: cathygehaMy spiralizer is a bit different and from Europe. It does well with beets (higher in carbs) but haven't found fat enough carrots or zucchini to have much success with them. I tried potatoes but they are tough. May try again in the future.
Thank you both for the ideas
