Breakfast: avocado 1/2 on high fiber toast with an egg and nonfat latte
Lunch: brown and wild rice mixed with Lebanese green beans (tomatoes, onions, garlic,beans) and white beans. nonfat yogurt with fruit salad
Snack: air popped popcorn
Dinner: Cheddar cheese

I cook bacon on a sheet pan in the oven and apparently the maple version burns in about t minus 36 seconds. So I had to throw out the batch and start over with non maple version. I was making it for a wedge salad for lunch today.

I was making it for a wedge salad for lunch today. Have you never cooked bacon in the microwave? Take a heatproof plate, place two sheets of plain (i.e., not printed with a pattern) paper towels on the plate; place 4 slices of bacon on the paper towls; place one sheet of paper towel on top. Nuke for 2 to 4 minutes, monitoring carefully. Maple flavor bacon should burn anymore than plain bacon. Microwave is fast, and you can get the bacon extra crispy if you like it that way (which I do).

I think I did do the microwave once! I'll try it again but if I recall I didn't love it when microwaved because it dried out too much. I like it to dry/bake in it's own grease and then put it to drain on paper towels after.

Easy solution to that: use a pyrex baking dish or pie pan that fits in the microwave and omit the paper towels (well, maybe one on top to help control splatter.
