Good morning ladies!
So, what will you do to make this a great day! We all know that our attitude has a lot to do with how our interactions go ....make today a good one! The other day I was thinking about it and it seems like other people can't help but smile (even strangers) if you smile at them first. Give it a try!
We had a nice dinner with DS25, his GF, and DM. It was good to have everyone together to catch up. I just made a soup with chicken, veggies, and gnocchi, a green salad, we had a good bread, and I made apple pie for dessert. It was relaxing and a nice way to end the weekend. DS25 and his GF are travelling to Eugene to visit DS20 on Nov. 15th. They are taking him to a U of O football game---I am SO happy that the boys are spending time together--warms my heart! This week is pretty busy...tomorrow we ride on a tour bus (4 hour drive) to spend the night in the Central Valley before visiting a school district on Wednesday--it is a district well known for meeting the needs of a lot of kids. I organized this trip (bringing along 40 other educators from our county) so I am a little nervous about details but it will be good I am sure.
Carole: I hope that today goes well and that you have been able to put the travelling changes, etc. behind you. I am sorry that it all got so complicated. On the bright side, only a 4-day work week! I hope that the meal today is better than last week too. Sounds like the walk at lunch (back at work) might be a nice routine for you! Hope that you get good retirement news today!
Jenny: Yes, DS20 is liking Eugene! It is SO great that classes have started as he is feeling more connected already. I am really pleased that he followed through and did what he needed to in order to make this all happen. He had some growing up to do. Yikes about the parents who let the kids drink alcohol...I wonder how the other parents felt about that? In CA, they could be turned in to Child Protective Services if a parent wanted to call and report it. Sheesh....what did Audrey think of it all? Hope that you have a good day today!

Good morning Gabrielle and ATF! I am struggling with a manic Monday but need more coffee and I will get out the door on time I think. Went to Chicago yesterday and had a great time with Julie, Jeff, and of course the birthday girl. She loved her gifts and Papa was helping her build stuff on the floor. We walked to Potbelly's and brought sandwiches back to eat. Aside from the long drive, a fun day. Now I am behind on laundry and am actually running a load now. Today I start pulling files of terminated extra help employees that are going to remote storage. They have a compact shelving system that brings the right row of files to you by an alpha/numerical pad. I had a quick lesson on it last week so I hope I remember how to use it! Then I have to put in the printout of their termination, and make labels for the outside of the folder before they go to remote storage. Seems like there should be a better process, but that's what it is for now. I can do this for 3.5 hours but wouldn't want to do it all day. Of course usually they have "side projects" that come up too.
Waving to all = have a great Monday..I have a cardigan to wear out the door for this crisp morning but up to the 70's later.

Sue: I loved Carole's statement about the triathalon -- it really does sounds like you were prepping for one! I didn't see FB posts, but it sounds like you posted some pictures. I need to look a bit closer. Have a great time!
Christine: Hope that you have a good start to your week and that you had some downtime yesterday....
Lisa: How was the birthday party? Fun, I'll bet! I will watch for pictures.
Shelly: How are you doing?
Okay, need to go as my first meeting is at 7:30 am and I have some things to do before then. Plan to be home not too late tonight...having left over soup for dinner and I'm going to add some spinach to it for even more veggies. Making a salad for lunch. Have a good day ladies...make it GREAT!

Morning Gabrielle, Lisa and all to come...
Just back from walking the boys to school, having a quick light breakfast then off to Walnut Creek Park to “walk the loop” while Hannah runs....already have almost 3k steps in and it’s only 8:08am. The loop is 3.1 miles so I will be getting my steps in for sure!
Will run a few errands with Hannah and get pedicures today while Jason watches baseball playoffs. Then back to school at 2:50 to pick the boys up!
Not sure what else the day holds but it’s fun to be spending time with Hannah and the boys!
Carole...hope today’s seminar is even more informative and retirement is set for you!
See you all later!

Quick hi before heading back to school to pick up the boys....after our nice 3.1 mile walk this morning we came home, had some breakfast and showers then Hannah and I were off for pedicures! One of the best I ever had...woman really took her time and my feet are very happy!
After a chilly 42 degree start to the day, it’s about 70 now and beautiful! The boys have cub scouts tonight so will just hang out here while they are gone....
Jason is enjoying watching a bit of playoff baseball..Cardinals, his team is playing now and are up by 2 so he’s happy but then again yesterday the lost a 2-0 lead so today is do or die for them! If they don’t win, they are heading home for the year!
Time to find my shoes and head off to school!

Gabrielle-yes attitude will make a great day. Greg and I took a walk around a lake at a nearby park.
Sue-wow you deserve a pedi for all those steps!
Carole-good to see from FB that retirement plan is on track. We had no plan and are still trying to get a handle.
I wanted to put Kennedy's picture on but it doesn't seem to work with the mobile version.
Need to figure out dinner 🤔

So not sure where last week went. Ugh.....I tried to get here and never could seem to make it. Trying to get caught up plus we added 3 new candy racks which gave us a lot more space to fill so tried to get that all set and Lane (boss) is still just really watching stuff and in and out of the store several times a day and is driving me crazy. Yep I’m still needing to do my taxes. Going to try and work on them some tomorrow. Didn’t get home until 7 tonight. Yesterday I had a headache and just didn’t feel like doing them. I know I won’t get them done but will work on them.
Gabrielle thanks for starting us. Glad you had a nice dinner with DS and his GF and DM. I’m missing my Oklahoma family. I haven’t seen them since we got back. We are all so busy and since they go to school 30 minutes away and have dance practice before they head home it’s time for them to get home supper and bed. So hopefully soon.
Lisa I agree it was a manic Monday for sure. Hope everything ended up going ok the rest of the day. Your day in Chicago sounded fun. Glad it was a good time
Sue glad you are having a nice time with the kids. It was 39° this morning. A little chilly for sure. Turned out to be a nice day. Was in the 70’s. Enjoy the rest of your time.
Ok hope to make it by a little more often. Sorry I’ve been so absent. I made it to my workout today!!! Was pretty proud of myself. When I first started he had me try and slide some sliders across the room and I was terrible. I couldn’t make it across without rearing halfway across. Today I did 3 down and backs pretty easy!!! I can definitely tell I’m getting stronger faster than expected. Ok out of here for now. Hope to see all tomorrow
