This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
Our motto is persistence, not perfection.

Good afternoon (?) everyone.
Today is feeling way "off" for me. Somehow I slept until a little after 10. It started raining during the night (YAY! Finally!) and I think the sound of the rain on the metal roof was like sleep hypnosis. Lol. Anyway, here I am, still drinking coffee and just now getting here.
My XDSIL came up yesterday afternoon and watched the ATL Braves baseball games with us. We had a great time. Mark and I had driven into Guntersville and picked up some smoked wings from the little bbq place there and as always, they were completely delicious.
Just saw a morning update from Jana:
Mom had a restless night. Poor thing is so agitated when she's awake. She's resting peacefully now. Hospice came by this morning and it looks like we can have her home as early as tomorrow. Daddy's sisters and some of my cousins are coming later this week to help out. We are so blessed to have so many loving and caring family members and friends who are willing to help us out. The support is overwhelming at times. We are so appreciative of everyone's love and support. If we forget to tell you personally please know we do appreciate and love you all.

Hello Everyone, A busy day as usual in Paradise. My teaching partner came back so that was helpful at least and we had the grandmother to help us today. That's really about it on my end. I have to start doing these assessments as they are due at the end of the week and I havent even started them. My partner will help with the other assessments due also. Those are only for the kids that will go to Kindergarten in the fall. Mostly at this time with the kids some kids recognize maybe some letters in their name but most cant identify the sounds of letters. Some might recognize some lower case letters so hopefully that part wont take too long. Have a good night.

Hi everyone.
I hope my depressing posts aren't keeping everyone away.
Lora sounds like you had a good weekend. I know you enjoy spending time with DSIL. The wings sound great.
Janet good luck with all the assessments.

Hi Everyone... Back home...I thought I posted before, but I guess not or I didn't send it. It was so good to see YDD...I miss her. It was also delightful to see her Dfriend and her little one (my DD was her Maid of Honor and is her 18 mo old's godmother). It was a fairly relaxing weekend...I posted some pics on FB of us picking apples. Her friend flew home yesterday and DD and I were going out to dinner, but she got a migraine (head pain, nauseous, etc). She hardly ever gets these (unlike me and Dson), so it was weird - anyway, we didn't go out and that was fine...Then I got a mild one on the plane today - cheez - what is going on??? My DSister has been getting them and she has only had a few in her life.
Thanks for starting us Lora and keeping us up to date on Jana.
Andi - sorry about the hiking pain, but I'm glad you got to go.
RobinMD - just like you and Andi, I feel that each year I not only GET older, but Feel older and something else hurts...but like all of the ROs....all we can do is fight it every step of the way by trying to stay as fit as possible, keep our weight under control and...well, you know the drill.
Jana - don't ever think that....we are always here for each other...in good days and bad days we support each other! Do you live down as far as Petersburg? I thought you were in Chester. I would love for you and your DM to have one of these little "prayer squares" my Stitch Therapy group made...you can just feel all the praying that was involved when the seamstress, knitter, or whomever was making it! How is your DF doing? So glad you have a couple family members around occasionally.
Janet - glad your school partner is back...hope things smooth out somewhat
RobinS - in case you see this, the wedding pics were great.
Heading to bed.....
