Welcome to the CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend still least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good afternoon,
Had a busy morning. Went to the mall, picked up an order from JCP and wandered around the store for a while. Decided to look at stuff at Macy’s and Lane Bryant too. Ended up just getting what I ordered. Went out for an early lunch too.
Beautiful day outside, sunny in the 60s. Supposed to be like this through Friday at least.
Dottie- what an experience from Walgreens. I’m starting to think good customer service is slowly slipping away.
Towels in the laundry. That’s about all on my agenda today.
Work has been going well. They are having a Trunk or Treat event later this month. Departments are decorating trucks, kids will be able to trick or treat and pick out the best truck. Should be fun. We haven’t decided what we’re doing yet, but one department is doing Finding Nemo.
Nothing else going on, I guess that’s a good thing.
Enjoy your day

Joyce, the decorated trucks and trunk or treat event sounds like a safe way for kids to enjoy a Halloween treat. EEE (a mosquito problem) is in my son’s area, so that the kids aren’t out after dark (when the mosquitos are) they changed the time for TorT to 4:00pm to 6:00pm. The cooler weather usually stops some mosquitos but I guess everyone is being very cautious.
Ruth, glad the A-fib didn’t last long for Stan. I’m sure the marathoners have sore feet and other sore body parts from the run. Glad to hear that they both finished the marathon. How tall is your DD? DGD does go to her pre-school/day care because they have to pay for it even when she doesn’t go. Besides she loves it. She has “friends” there and at home there aren’t other kids for her to play with. Sounds like a fun day at Sawyer’s school. How did the cleaning lady do?
I didn’t sleep well last night so after the boys left for school I took a nap (almost 2 hours). Tomorrow the boys will be home, Yom Kipper, their day care is open but if they don’t attend DS and DDIL save a little $$. DGD will be 4 on Thursday but due to the family problems in DDILs family she opted not to have an adult party. There will be a party for some of their friends that have kids the same age as DGD but it is strictly for the kids and at an outside venue.

Good afternoon. Joy, sounds like you had a busy morning. We have beautiful weather today and tomorrow, then the bottom drops out later Thursday and all day Friday! Ugh! Not ready for this stuff. Thank goodness we are not traveling to older DD’s until the weekend after. They are not recommending much travel this coming weekend.
I was laying in bed about 7:30, deciding if I was going to get up and go to the bathroom or not when my phone dinged for a text message. Went and checked it and DIL had gotten called in for the Rape Support Group she is on. She was on call so knew it was a possibility, but she was not on call at 8 am!!! So I woke up Stan and we ate quickly and then headed out to get Mara. DS just gave her half her usual cup of milk and a small snack to hold her over. I sat in back by her on the way home and distracted her and was ready to get a towel in front of her if she looked like she was going to get sick. We made it all the way home with no trouble. We were to get her sometime tomorrow morning anyway, so I’m guessing we’ll now have her until dinner time on Thursday since DIL works Thursday. Then she can have her Friday. We will have her part of Saturday because Friday is DIL’s birthday and DS wants to take her out to dinner and a movie. She will be 41, like our younger DD. The 2 Bretts (our DS & younger DD’s DH) are 43 & 42 right now. SIL will be 43 in early Nov. It’s kind of funny that they will be 41 & 43 by the middle of November; but graduated from high school in 94, 95, 96, and 97 because of the way the birthdays are staggered.
Dottie, younger DD is between 5’9” and 5’10”. Her DH is only about 5’7” tops!! She normally doesn’t slouch anymore, but she said when she gets tired running she does, plus she had the water pack on her back and that made her back sore too.
Those Halloween plans sound like a good thing. Both places mentioned. We will have Mara for Halloween because her mom’s surgery is like 2 days before. Not sure if they have a costume for her or not. I might see about taking her out with Harper & Sawyer. I’d be perfectly happy with not taking her either. And not having any candy in our house. We don’t get a lot of kids anymore because most of them on the block have grown up. I really don’t want to buy much candy, and when I do I try to buy things I don’t particularly like. Chocolate is hard for me to avoid.
Nice that you can get a nap Dottie. I ended up sleeping on the couch for a while yesterday afternoon while DH & Maggie got in their run. I just could not stay awake. I’ve started up my vitamin D again but I’m also having trouble with overheating some, so I wonder if thyroid is out of whack again or something. Trying to see if that problem gets any better when I re-lose some of this weight before I contact the dr about it.
Laundry going and it’s lunch time. Have a good day all.
