Welcome to the CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend still least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning,
Just getting the thread started before I head to work. I got a lot accomplished yesterday.
Ruth - I keep forgetting to keep my Fitbit on. I need to get back into that habit. I like keeping track of my walking, and my sleep pattern too. I think my step goal is 8000.
See ya later.

Joyce, hope you had a good day at work. I just use my phone to track my steps. Sometimes I forget to put it in my pocket or don’t have a pocket to put it in and then I don’t get credit for the steps.
Jill, again so happy to see you. Hope you post when you have time.
The sun finally came out – first time it has been sunny for 4 days. The house has felt so damp and cold due to lack of sun. I went to the library and dropped off 19 books for the book sale, there are still more to get rid of so hopefully I will get another bag together this week. Other than getting rid of the books and cleaning up the kitchen I haven’t done much today. I have been sleeping terrible, don’t know what the problem is, but only getting 2 to 3 hours sleep makes the next day difficult. Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Had a good day at work. Not too busy, but busy enough for time to fly.
Dottie - we’ve been lucky here. It’s been sunny every day this week. After a bit of rain the sun came out today, and it’s supposed to be sunny again tomorrow. Makes for nice customers, nice conversations - everyone is in a good mood when it’s sunny. WTG getting rid of more books. I do need to do that sometime soon. Sorry to hear you aren’t getting a good nights sleep. Try putting some lavender lotion on your arms, that scent helps to relax you.
Doing great switching my closets. A lot more work than I thought, but worth it. I get a warm feeling when I take my clothes to the charity bin at church. I think of the gals that will get them and hope they enjoy the clothes as much as I did. I should be able to get a few hours of CBing done tomorrow.
Just relaxing the rest of this evening.
Have a great night.

Good (late) evening all. Joy, I got the Fitbit Versa and it’s like a watch, so I have it on 24/7 except when it’s charging. And sometimes I do a bunch of things and forget I don’t have it on. Stan keeps telling me my body knows I got the steps and it’s no big deal that the Fitbit didn’t!!! Still aggravating!!!!
You are both doing well on getting rid of stuff. I got the kids clothes sorted and then DD found out that the 5’s I’d sorted out won’t fit the little girl, she needs a 6/6x the same as Sawyer, and we didn’t save a lot of Harper’s clothes for Sawyer even. So we won’t have anything to donate to her. But sounds like they are doing ok anyway. But since I have the 5 winter sorted out I will get pictures of them in the next few days and get them listed.
We went to WW this morning and I lost 1.0 lbs. I’ll take it!! Then we met DS and got Mara for the day. Then after her nap we returned her to DS and then went to DD’s house and picked up Harper for an overnight visit. We took her to Noodles & Company for dinner. Then home so she could binge watch Ninja Warriors. She got to stay up until 10 pm which is late for her.
Tomorrow we will probably meet DD/DSIL/Sawyer at the apple orchard. We haven’t been this fall and sawyer wants to do that for her birthday. Then probably all you can eat sushi for lunch. Then home to rest and relax.
It was 31 (feels like 22) when we got up this morning. It’s been so cold and we’ve had snow showers off and on since last night and they are to last until noonish tomorrow. Ugh! Way too cold. We may hit 60 next week. That is what we should be seeing this time of year. Our high today was 37.
Dottie, I haven’t been sleeping well either. Getting a little more than you are, but still not restful sleep. Wonder if it’s the weather doing it to us? I’m still not happy with our beds and feel stuck with it. And I still need a new pillow. Hope you get some rest tonight and get good sleep.
Wild are playing Pittsburgh tonight and losing rather badly. Not sure what is wrong with this team. Lots of talent!
ok, going to bed in a bit. I’m cold and hope to warm up under the covers. More tomorrow.
maybe Cathy will join Jill and check in.

Hope everyone had a good Sunday. Hope Sawyer had a good birthday. I slept much better last night so had some energy today. The weather was also very nice for working in the yard. I took apart most of my flower pots/boxes and composted the remains. I also had the energy to get caught up on the L and now the plans for the evening are to read my book till the shows come on that I like on Sunday night.
