Affirmation: Happiness Heals
Mind: Hopeful
Body: Healthy
Spirit: Honest
Gratitude: Hills and mountains I see from my bedroom window - homecoming (going "home" to the USA and then the return to my home on this hilltop)
My sister sent me a photo of the peach pajama set in size medium she bought, will wash, and have waiting for me to wear when I arrive at her home on May 14. There are 22 days or 3 weeks and one day till I leave and I am definitely ready for a change! The water did not come on Wednesday and only came for a short while today. We have enough but won't be doing loads of laundry or soaking in the tub till the tanks are all full again.

Affirmation: Indulging in treats from time to time prevents over indulgence
Mind: Interested in new ideas
Body: Invested in healthy lifestyle
Spirit: Inspired from time to time
Gratitude: Intelligence, Ideals, Immunizations...hmm...
Orthodox Easter weekend so the church is busy. The government is not giving electricity but the village seems to have stored some fuel so we do have it and more than usual due to the holiday. Gardening is on my husband's list and on mine...figuring out how to utilize the mosquito net without a hook in the ceiling to hang it from. Three weeks from today I will be on a plane...I know that time will pass quickly but it will seem not quick enough!

Affirmation: It's a glorious day! Attitude habit builder: Renewed and Revitalized Body: Sufficient rest--working on this and it is getting more consistent Spirit: Honest Gratitude: Interesting points of view about the construction of reality
I am back to reading my book about reality that deals with such things as quantum physics, the construction of reality and different ways this might be other than the time/space model. Sometimes I have absolutely no idea what is actually being discussed but I am forging onward to a new model of personal existence!
Cathy: Yesterday when I was at the gardening shop, picking up birdseed, the parking lot was jam packed with cars. They must be the diehard enthusiasts since it snowed day before yesterday. Good luck with the creative hanging of the mosquito netting. Last year I needed to remove footage of the old dried up wood fencing that ran up to the house and was attached to it since is a major wild fire hazard. However it had to be replaced and I am certainly not capable of that. When I run into situations like that I tell myself to "think like a woman". So I bought some four foot high twelve foot long dog pens--removed the fence panels, hooked them up myself and solved the problem. As far as I'm concerned when there is a feminine way there is a will! Not too sure about the netting however. Being a possibility thinker I would probably get the hook and then work on manifesting someone to install it. LOL

Affirmation: Journaling daily keeps me on track
Mind: Judicious
Body: jiggles less when jumping at this lower weight
Spirit: jubilant
Gratitude: Joyrides with family when I get to the USA
The church bells rang at sunrise and the speakers are going this morning as it is Orthodox Easter in the village. I slept under the mosquito net last night and didn't even know it was there. No mosquitoes or none that came to see me anyway. I think we should buy more! 20 days till I travel
MICHELLE: Did you buy dog pens that you can put the dogs into or just the material used for dog pens stretched out to create fences? I like your creative thinking but am visualizing a long line of connected metal boxes?

Affirmation: It's a brand new day! Attitude habit builder: Renewed and Revitalized Body: Sufficient rest -- need to be diligent about this Spirit: Safe Gratitude: Music Lovely winter day here. Buttercup had a long list of things she wanted to do and managed to talk my husband into doing them. Clair is getting so good a playing outfielder so that she can get the ball away from her sister. Cathy: The dog pens are 4 foot high panels, each two feet wide so they are like fencing in that each dog pen is 12 feet long. Glad you are able to have the mosquito netting at night. Right now we have tiny black insects that bite our heads but it can't be felt. However they do itch. These little black bugs are in the air outside and bite mysteriously. Soon they will disappear or at least they have in years gone by. Thank goodness.

Affirmation: Kindness is never wasted
Mind: Keen
Body: kicking back at losing more weight
Spirit: Keeps me on Keel
Gratitude: kittens and kisses
Yesterday the funeral was...long and in Arabic and I was trying to stay away from people so walked away from people as much as possible. Few were wearing masks and it made me antsy. Missed the chat with children. Taking down suitcases today, the ladder slipped with my husband on it and I was trying to brace it, cut my finger a bit, and we decided we need a new ladder 19 days till I leave...can't wait!
MICHELLE: I now understand the dog run fence. I am guessing it is made of metal and not wood, right?

Affirmation: Happy days are here! Attitude habit builder: Spunky Body: Sufficient rest -- need to be diligent about this Spirit: Free Gratitude: Helpful people
Another day wrestling with the Paper Tiger from work. I sat on the deck and fell asleep which I found very rejuvenating. My brother is still traveling the USA and will have spent 45 days altogether. I can tell that he is ready to go home from the emails I am getting--it's just more of a feeling that I have than anything he has said. I would have been ready to come home a lot sooner than this.
Cathy: Very few are wearing masks here. I still wear mine and practice the social distancing as best I can. My daughter mentioned that those with the vaccine and booster do not die whereas the ones without them do much more often. Her advice for me is to limit my exposure so I have opted to stay away from those situations where there are a lot of people. On the bright side she said that there are far fewer cases in the hospital now. However we all are in much brighter spirits and for that I am very thankful.

Affirmation: Love lightens the load
Mind: Lovely
Body: Lusty
Spirit: Listens
Gratitude: Life
It is still dusty or overcast or something. Not nice outside at all. I filled three large suitcases with too-big clothing that I will go through one more time after my daughter visits in June and I know what I have been able to buy to replace favorites with...items that will fit and make me happy. The closet is slimming down - and so am I...only the best food forward in the future!
MICHELLE: I am glad you are handling the paper tiger. I am working on getting books read and reviewed before I travel and also working on getting everything ready to pack as well as a list of what I hope to buy while traveling.

Affirmation: Don't worry, be happy! Attitude habit builder: Spunky and diligent Body: Habitual sufficient rest Spirit: Discerning Gratitude: The unexpected. My brother sent me a pic of he and his wife washing an elephant.
Rather nice days lately which is quite pleasant. I still have to wear a coat when driving the quads so that the dogs can get their daily running in but that is significantly less than the two hats, winter gloves, face mask....
Cathy: I liked your comment about "only the best food". Looking in my rear view mirror is a scary reminder of what I can become again or go back to being. I shudder at the thought. It's one day at a time for me and has been a very long time since I overate like the way I did in days of very old. Every day I weigh in the morning and have done so and recorded it on my little calendar 1,903 times as of today. I keep each of those yearly calendars right by the current year's and it reminds of of all those successful days I have had. Absolutely nothing tastes as good as thin feels. One day I came to realize that I have better things to do with my life than overeat. Hooray!

Affirmation: Oh, Happy Day.... Attitude habit builder: Spunky and reinvented Body: Habitual sufficient rest Spirit: Meditative Gratitude: The world as seen through the eyes of a Senior
Excellent day for me! I spent some time cleaning, organizing and generally getting many items completed in the homemaking sphere. Also worked on some office Paper Tiger items and much got accomplished in a short period of time. Sometimes the audits are like working on a 1,000 piece puzzle and others resemble a 250 piece one. Today was a 250 piece day.
Cathy: Hope you had fun today!

Affirmation: Notice the little things that bring joy
Mind: nibbles away at new ideas
Body: necessary
Spirit: nurturing
Gratitude: Nature that surrounds me
Never giving up on this getting to goal weight but sometimes I do have more than I should to be considered on program. Oh well...this has to be sustainable long term and indulging once in awhile is fine, I think. I did have fun with friends yesterday. They think I should NOT get rid of all of my too big things but have some taken in. I will see AFTER I get home from the USA if there are any items I feel I would wear if altered. In the past I have had things altered and they were ruined...never really wore them again, either as they didn't look the same on me or something?
Michelle: I am glad you like the puzzle pieces of audits...I dont' think that would be my favorite job

Affirmation: Leave it like it is. Never mind the turpentine, it's fine. Attitude habit builder: Relaxed and carefree Body: Habitual sufficient rest Spirit: Reflective Gratitude: This wonderful life My exercise program has kind of slacked off so I will be getting back in gear effective yesterday. There's lots of fun things to do and since cleaning house falls under the category of functional fitness I kick started my program by doing that. I enjoy being physically active but the work Paper Tiger kind of swallowed up massive amounts of my days. Time for a change! Another OP day for me today. Cathy: There's lots of different aspects to my job and because I like to be challenged I have it made especially since I am self employed and actually don't need to work anymore. I am very proud of who I am. I especially like that it is not a year round job. I am the one who is the sales and marketing director so I am the one who decides how much work will be taken on. For the time being I am very busy and it should lessen in about a month. I think most people spend their time working without even realizing it. If I had to sit around all day long and watch TV that would be the most miserable job imaginable! And don't even get me started about golfing

Affirmation: Organization simplifies my life
Mind: Occupied with thoughts of travel and seeing family
Body: Obligingly loses weight and becomes healthier when I obediently eat and exercise on program
Spirit: Open to Opportunities
Gratitude: Owls that provide night music I listen to while going to sleep
Countdown continues...15 days till I travel...hooray!
The information I sent to my daughter was helpful, I think. I told her three ways I could see doing the trip, she looked through what I sent to her, formulated a suggested itinerary for the travel agent, and we wait to hear what he comes up with. I know that we will only get a taste of Scotland but it will be interesting and fun and nice to be away.
MICHEL: I, too, need to get back into exercising. The good thing is that my sister walks daily for LONG walks and her husband and she do shorter walks together, too, so I can walk with them and that will help for the trip to Scotland. We have green peas, radish greens, fava beans, lettuce, cabbage, and other tasty produce to create meals with. I will make some grain for myself and maybe make a "bowl" for lunch...with Mexican or other flavors...still deciding.
