This thread is for all of us who have been on the weight loss merry-go-round quite a few times. We have banded together to make this our FINAL time. We offer support & motivation, WEIGHT LOSS TIPS, food ideas – whatever you need to make it your FINAL time. If you start the day’s thread, please copy and paste this paragraph.

Good morning ladies!
I think that I have set some kind of record over the last month with the # of times that I have started the thread...after so many years of relying on our East coast gals, it is my turn! Either that or I am waking up too early (which is entirely possible). Super smokey, blah, blah, blah....the wind is blowing but I don't know that there is anywhere to blow away this smoke. I did get on the TM this morning. My workouts are a bit shorter as I taper for the marathon. This is hard to do...it seems like you should keep pushing yourself as hard as possible, but the taper is important to rest up the body. What will you do to make sure that you move today?
Sue: The wildlife bday party sounds so fun! I can see why it is popular. So glad that you were there for the celebration. Nice that the kids could go out for a date night too! LOL, yes, I am sure that Hannah will be adjusting to Shea's new schedule. I think that it is nice that they both have time on their own as well--seems like it just is a good break sometimes to develop friendships, etc. Hope that your flight home today is smooth...and yes, it will be nice to be retired and not so schedule-driven! I hear you on the need for sleep and agree--it means going to bed at a decent time which can be challenging. Maybe you can get back into the pool after you get back to add to your walking. Or walking with your friend again? Hope that you get some time today to prep for your week back at work.
Jenny: So how did the dress shopping go? Hope that it was fun! I look forward to the pictures of Audrey and her gang--fun to see the kids dressed up! Good for her for committing to no alcohol, drugs, etc. and (hopefully) this means that she is surrounded by people with the same level of commitment. It is tough in school with the pressures of people around you.

So, last night my phone rang at 10:15 pm (I was asleep) and it was my mom. She drove herself to the emergency room because she could feel that her afib was "doing its thing". She told me not to come because she drove herself there and felt fine. I (of course) couldn't sleep after that and she called at 12:30 am to say that they were releasing her and she felt fine. She texted at 1:40 am to tell me she got home okay....now I have all of this travel planned and I am nervous. I am going to have to think about it today. DH will be around until 10/23 so he can help me...otherwise, I might have to call on one of my siblings. When we had the 3 weeks of issues last November no one else had to take care of it and usually it is my (my DS in Los Angeles means well, but usually calls to tell me what she thinks I should do--"Tell the doctor he needs to...." "Buy her ....and tell her she has to use it.", etc. Uggh. Oh well, will see what happens. I really do worry about her.
Hello to Christine, Carole, Lisa, Shelly, and all who follow. Need to get an early start today. Had Shepherd's Pie for dinner last night and will have something light tonight. Have a good day and make sure that you move it!

Good morning! I am on the run to get things ready for the day but can't believe how quickly the weekends go...we had a wedding on Saturday of great nephew. It was a nice wedding and reception. They had a taco bar and it was great except it took forever for 20 tables to be called for their turn to go through the line. Yesterday we made it to church and then saw Gremlins as the flashback movie. Never saw it in the day...kind of cute and kind of creepy. So moving it today, I hope I can talk Greg into a walk but if not, I need to finish clearing up patio and sweep it off.
Gabrielle-I hope that the smoke clears off soon. Sorry to hear about the early morning call. Yes, it's so scary! My brother basically took care of most of Mom and Dad's health issues because he was local, but hearing "don't come" leaves you wondering if you are getting all the details, etc. I'm glad your Mom knows when things aren't right, but kind of scary having her drive herself to the ER too!
I am waving to all and need to get my ipod ready to go...makes the work go much better to listen to music. Oh I forgot to mention that Kennedy was going to be the flowergirl at the wedding but was sick a couple different times last week so they had a 6 year old stand in at the last minute. We missed seeing Kennedy but I think they made the right decision not to try it...she still looked pale in picture that I saw on Saturday.
Now I'm getting going here...have a great Monday...I will try and stop in later. I am having oatmeal with blueberries for breakfast. I need to stop at the store and get a few things after work...getting to that point with not so many healthy options.

Good morning Gabrielle - and Lisa... sorry - later start here today!
Gabrielle: Thanks for starting us off today... funny how you have had to start us so much recently - obviously I have been "sleeping in" more than I realize! LOL Wish I felt like I slept in!
Going to try to catch up - but MAN this house is NOISY this morning!!
SO my "Sensible Sunday" went OK... considering
100 oz water ❌76 oz 5 F/V ❌ No sugar ❌ No flour ❌ No wine ✔️ Journal ❌ No eating after 7 ✔️ 7 out of 10 red dots ✔️Managed 8 out of 10... not bad considering 5 hours of driving! I also got 9,561 STEPS! Again with 5 hours in the car - this has to be a good thing!
Ended up grabbing a protein breakfast at Dunks - while others had donuts for the ride... I hadn't taken time to eat here so that's OK. Lunch was at Five Guys, so my burger was bunless/lettuce wrap! Then an ice cream on the ride home and went to bed feeling satisfied and not needing dinner! I did have a mug of tea before bed - so I went to bed feeling pretty good about the day!
OH the bog was "boring"... of course they do NOT "harvest" on Sunday, but hey it was a trip anyway. After you walk out to the bog - you can either come back the way you went out - or you can do the 1/2 mile "nature trail" to get back to the store... girls opted for the nature trail, so off we went! I am sure it was longer than 1/2 hour... but whatever... it was up and down hills, and tree roots - just a little MORE than I thought it would be - but felt good I did it, and I was fine!
I was a little disappointed - as I thought there was more "shopping" involved in the day - but apparently the only "destination" was Bass Pro Shop!
OH Ken did buy a weekend away - to hear a Time Share "opportunity"... which we have discussed a lot in the past 2 years - so this is good! We spent $149.00 to get a 4 day 3 night stay in Myrtle Beach (or a lot of other places) and we receive a couple of gift cards after we visit, and we received one yesterday - which covered everything we bought at the Bass Pro Shop! LOL NOW to see if it all pans out as she says it will! LOL I am a skeptic!
Anyway - all in all it was a good day... so that's what matters ♥
Gabrielle: When do you head out of town for this leadership? Hopefully this morning your WW meeting will go well, and you can shop without incident!
Thank you - YES... I agree - thanks for thinking of this... I need to just "worry" about the sleep thing right now... get that under control - then think about something else... not "worry" about it ALL at one time - I guess 'baby steps" in every aspect of life is sound advice ♥
I have not heard any word from anyone regarding Debbie - but it was the weekend... and I do believe I will have my vacation without interruption!
UGH I would LOVE to find a space dedicated to stretching and such at work - but at this point I don't see a potential for that. We are pretty much bursting at the seams for space in the building!
OH My... what a schedule you have this month! WOW! LOL I'd have to buy new underwear too! Since you never know when/where laundry will be done! Might have washer/dryer in the house in DC?? But who wants to spend vacation doing laundry???
Hoping you have a good day - and feel productive before your adventures begin next weekend!!
Jenny: YAY for Audrey knowing what's important in life! You have a lot to be proud of with your girl ♥ Good luck dress shopping.
Sue: OH yes... to be able to travel with little or no time restrictions! LOL Nope the tub was NOT ready to use Saturday night... would have loved it - but -only 68 degrees (after draining and refilling) so ya' no... but DID enjoy it last night - after the day of travel it felt good to just relax, in the peace and quiet! Zoë was already in bed - she fell asleep on the drive home and Ken was able to move her to bed without waking her up. SO while she slept we relaxed!
LOL I can imagine having Shea "around" will take some getting used to - heck just someone to get the kids from school for a change... I know they will figure it out - but yes, must be "weird"! HA! Ken is getting "anxious" and keeps coming in looking for me or Tracy to head out - OMG Seriously?? I know it's getting "late" but MAN... cut me some slack! With all we did already you'd think he could find SOMETHING to do until we get out there to help! I just don't want him using the saw with only Zoë out there!
Well I missed my trip to CTS... but it's OK... nothing I "need" and would find stuff for fun... it was a long enough day anyway - so I am fine with not wasting an hour in there! I do wish we had the time to browse the shops but with a 3 and 5 year old, it was not the day to "Shop"!
Yup - this is why we need a dumpster every few years! Also why we have so much CLUTTER in between the dumpster times!
So glad the party went well - it looked like quite a SHOW for the kids!! How awesome is that that they bring it to you!!??!
LOL Turns out we didn't do dinner! I am not sure about my sisters car... we split when they took Tim & family home... but they HAD "mentioned" a quick stop at McDonald's! I asked Ken and Tracy but they were fine to come home and warm up pizza so we stopped for gas and came straight home! Turns out they did NOT have pizza either - we were all pretty wiped out and satisfied from the late afternoon ice cream!
I guess you will have to pack your Y bag and try to hit the pool after work again - mornings are NOT good for exercise when you aren't sleeping at night! Or are up later than you want to be.
Oh I agree - keep Kale where he is - so it is easier to hit both swim classes... however... with Shea home... they may be able to divide and conquer!! YAY to getting into the Children's museum before the passes expired!
Hope you have been popping your oils/capsules, to keep that "bug" off you before you travel home! Hoping it is just the overtired - but if I know you - you are prepared!
You must be packing by now - and thinking about heading to the airport... such a wonderful - memory filled - trip for you guys♥ but I know it will be difficult to leave today {{{hugs}}}... when will you see the gang again? Do they have any plans to head home for the holidays? Will you maybe see Shea during his BWI days??

OK Need to finish catching up later... need to be productive today - once I get out there, I will be fine - but I do NOT feel like doing this today... almost 50 degrees - and the sun is coming out... so I have to Just.Do.It.!
Will CBL
♥hugs♥

Good morning Gabrielle, Carole and all to come....all packed and have a few minutes to pop in and say HI!!
Kids got home about 8:30pm or so...Shea still had some ironing and packing to finish up because he had clothes in the dryer when they left. After they got home we sat up and chatted until 12:30-ish....my buns are dragging today but it was fun to just sit and visit for a bit! Enjoyed a couple glasses of wine while we chatted.
Said our good-byes last night since he was leaving early so slept in until just before 8:00am....not too short of a night but short enough. Will likely doze on the plane for a bit....not the 1st flight...it’s only an hour but the 2nd is a couple hours so could get a little nap then.
Had to check in while at the Children’s Museum yesterday...I actually got A60 for my place in line....I’ve never gotten an “A” before....Jason is B1....we are B12/13 on the 2nd leg so will have a good choice of seats! Oh, we found out why they changed Shea’s flights...he has to be at the airport for his flight tomorrow morning really early, the flight leaves at 6:15 or something like that so he needed to be in Baltimore earlier than 7:30 tonight....guess they want their pilots well rested!!
Gabrielle....bummer the smoke just has no place to go....hope they get them under control and out soon so the air quality improves. Sorry for the scare from DM last night...I’m sure you will have her on your mind with all the traveling. It’s a shame your siblings don’t “step up” to some responsibility and help out when you travel!
Carole...sounds like it was a pretty fun day yesterday....glad you got to soak in the tub after you long day! For 5 hours in the car, that is a lot of steps! I’m sure the girls had fun walking the “nature trail”....the fresh air probably tuckered out Zoe! Will be anxious to hear how long they have you in the timeshare session....they can last forever! Funny that you are looking into them and we finally got rid of the last one! Will be nice for us not having to pay the maintenance fees this year....they came right around Christmas and it was always “tight” for the holiday!
Time to potty and get ready to head out the door! See you all from PA later! Should be back to the house before 9:00pm if we are on time.

Greeting from St. Louis....sitting here in the airport waiting for our connection to BWI....layover was almost 3 hours. Should start boarding just about 4pm, another hour from now....flight leaves at 4:25 and arrives in Baltimore 7:20....so far everything is on time.
Slim pickings for lunch today so got stuck with Burger King...not the best choice but all I had in this terminal besides fancy or Auntie Anne’s, Dunkin Donuts, Starbucks and a pizza place but I’ve had enough pizza for one week!
If it weren’t for the fact I’d have to lug all my stuff with me I’d walk up and down the terminal for a while just to move a bit. Won’t have a very high step count today, just barely over 3K now!
Hope all are having a great day!
