Thanks for starting us Christine - wellll... my vacation is postponed! MY DOING - It's all OK... heard yesterday that Debbie WAS in fact taken in for EMERGENCY Surgery...they found 2 hernias, that needed attention before they could decide on the treatment for the gallstones! Add to that she has a bowel blockage - and well, who knows what this will all mean, or when she will be back! UGH I feel so badly for HER... as she has no more sick time - she will have to deal with the 1st 5 days with "no pay"? Until ST Disability will kick in? Then with her DH still home mending his ankle surgery - and NO disability, due to he only works part time and very little at that... she has a LOT to deal with! Anyway - no - I won't stay home on vacation - knowing I have nothing really set in stone... to get done - the dumpster is about as full as it will be anyway - so Ken and Tracy can finish that up today! The things I want to get done - will get done, someday... I can't in good conscience just not help out!
I was willing (still am) to switch this week for next - but not knowing how long she will be out - we'll figure it out as we go along! MAybe I will just have a couple of 4 day weekends somewhere along the way?!?
Please don't feel bad for me - this is/was my choice... and I am fine with it. Oh a "modified" schedule (somewhat) to work around the appointments I do have this week!
Like today - meeting my yard guy here at 9 then heading in... will be there by 11, work until 5... tomorrow I have a PT appointment and car servicing (tires) to work around, and Thursday will be a short day as I have an appointment to donate blood - and that NEVER is done "on time" so it will be too late to bother going back. I may work Saturday morning - to catch up to my 40 hours so as NOT to use any vacation hours this week - but we'll see... will play-it-by-ear... and we all know how good I am at that! LOL
Coffee is ready... be right back!

Good morning!
Track Tuesday and planning to make this day terrific--thank you Christine for starting us off today! Still smokey....but there is a breeze so, maybe it will help? I am kind of feeling like everything smells like smoke right now. DM is feeling good--she said that the cardiologist at the ER told her that, when she feels her heart racing like that, she can take another felcainide and see if it helps --no visit to the ER is needed unless there are other symptoms. I felt relieved because this is the first time that I haven't gone with her (DH was reminding me yesterday that I have met her at the ER at least 8 times over the last year--sometimes were were there overnight waiting). So, I felt a little less guilty--my DM kept saying, "It was fine that you were not there" it was me who was feeling guilty. The visit to the school yesterday was fine, but it was a LONG day. Glad to have some time in the office today to actually get some things done.
Carole: Wow, you all got a LOT done yesterday! It must be great to see that dumpster full and see the clean areas outside! How are you feeling this morning? Good job doing the nature walk with the girls! Sorry that the shopping part of the trip was limited to Bass Pro Shop---it's interesting to walk around in there but not really for "shopping". I hope that you are building some relaxing time into today too!!
Sue: I remember a layover in St. Louis and that the food choices were pretty much non-existent. Glad that flights were on time, etc. and hoping that the house was as you left it...I know that this morning will be rough, but there is also something nice about coming home. Makes me feel grateful....your last night sounded GREAT--just sitting up and talking with the kids. Nice!

Oh Carole--just saw your post. Ouch! Poor Debbie! She must be in so much pain...sorry that she has the disability/money issues to think about it on top of it. So glad that this flexible schedule can work for you and a couple of 4-day weekends sounds NICE!
Christine: How are you doing? Linds is probably back at school and things are "normal" around the house?
Lisa: Sorry to hear that little miss Kennedy was under the weather--glad that they could get another one to step in for her. A taco bar sounds like a fun idea for a wedding...the food planning is always tricky! I have been to number of weddings with "food stations" to keep lines under control. Hope that work is going well for you this week.
Shelly: How are you doing? Thinking that you are still on your morning workout plan, right?
Hello to Jenny and all who follow. Need to get moving. I do have to say that I am diligent on these Tuesdays about my time and get a lot done Monday night (clothes prepped, bag packed to shower at the gym)...why don't I do this on other nights? Hmmm...need to think on that one. Hope that you all have a good day...we had roasted veggies with dinner last night (the WW meeting was about trying new fruits and veggies...I didn't try anything "new" but hadn't roasted veggies for months). I LOVE roasted veggies--will be doing that again in the near future. Have a great day ladies!

Morning Christine, Carole, Gabrielle and the rest of those yet to pop in...
Got home just after 9:00pm, took a bit for the luggage but not as bad as last year when they misplaced an entire cart of bags from our flight and we waited for 20+ minutes longer until they found them. Walked out, got the to loading spot and the van for Lot B pulled up! Travel gods were with us the majority of this trip so can't complain. Got a few things unloaded/unpacked but will do the rest this week...work only until 2:00 on Friday so I can get the boys after school...Sarah and Josh have a wedding. Not sure about football or soccer this week...haven't even looked at the schedule.
Time to think about getting this day started....a little tired but felt great to sleep in my own bed....not enough hours thanks to the time change that always messes with my system but did sleep well for those hours. My old body was very happy to be in my own bed....Hannah's guest bed isn't bad, but it's not mine! LOL!
See you all after work!

Gabrielle: Not too near the earthquake I don't think???
Since it's a later start to the day - I Have time to catch up on MOVE IT MONDAY... I got my "moving" in... over 8k steps for the day - salvaged my eating by getting a grilled chicken salad for supper at 99 last night. When we knew the week was "changing" Tracy & I decided to go get nails done yesterday - in time to meet Eden for supper - then she came to spend the night. Both Tim & Jaclyn work this morning - so this was easier than Tracy having to be at their house for 9 AM! SO we treated her to dinner out ♥
100 oz water ❌ 5 F/V ✔️ No sugar ❌ No flour ❌ No wine ✔️ Journal ❌ No eating after 7 ❌ 7 out of 10 red dots ✔️
Gabrielle: It must be difficult to taper off your WOs... good luck with that! Ummm, my moving was indeed moving the lumber pile(s) into the dumpster... it's all good - I am sore today, but it's worth it!
OMGoodness... your poor DM! But driving herself?? Thank goodness nothing "happened" while driving!!! Oh dear - yes, let's hope that DS can step up while you are traveling... {{{hugs}}} ♥
Yummm shepherd's pie... will have to add that to my menu soon!
Lisa: Oh WOW - yes I would think a taco bar would be a slow moving line! Oh yes, I remember Gremlins... yes, kind of creepy! Hope you got out for a walk yesterday - we had nice weather here... hope you did as well! Yes - I too am at that point of not much here to choose from for a lunch/snack bag!
Sue: Hope your travel went well - and the luggage made it home with you! Had to LOL that Shea had ironing to do... glad he can take care of himself! Nice to sit and chat - adults - and glad you enjoyed the glasses of wine... and were able to sleep in a bit!
Glad SW thinks about how much sleep time the pilots need... but geeze what if they can't fall asleep "on demand"?? LOL SO he is "in the air" as we type! You can bet I will pay attention to pilot's names from here on out! LOL
LOL Yes... I was thinking the same thing - not sure "timeshare" is the way to go... need more details... oh they said a 2 hour tour. However - IF we "upgrade" from the 3 night to a 7 night, we'd actually stay right AT the resort - not a nearby hotel - so we'd see the place in action! Not thinking we will... as this particular one doesn't offer as many destinations as I think I would want. We'll see... I am good for a few days in MB,SC and giving up 2 hours one day is not a big chore! Not when it makes the trip cost about $50.00 for 4 days there!
UGH a 3 hour layover... although 3 hours goes quickly with all the happenings in an airport!! Yeah not all airports have good food selections... but I bet you made a decent choice!

Yes Christine - have a terrific Tuesday!!
Gabrielle: Hoping the smoke clears soon - I would imagine, a constant smokey smell - UGH that would be awful! No guilt over DM... she chose to do it by herself! Since the Dr didn't tell her she shouldn't drive - I guess no harm! Right??
HA! I am SORE this morning... but it's OK... I will feel better after the hot shower!
Yeah - I am thinking maybe 4 day weekends, instead of a 4 day week off, we'll see. Either way I have 4 days to use by year end now! LOL
Oh another good idea... roasted veggies... tonight is leftover chicken, with leftover potatoes, and veggies. Just Ken and I home tonight - Tracy works.
Sue: Welcome home... yay for travel working out as well as it did... and YAY for a good night's sleep in your own bed.
OK Time to get moving - Jeff will be here at 9, and I want to be ready for work when he gets here. Will check in again tomorrow - need to set an alarm starting tonight!
♥hugs♥
