Welcome to the CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend still least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning from cold and rainy (again) Minnesota!!! We had heavy rain during the night. And thunder that was so loud and intense that it woke me up and I was afraid the roof was going to get hit! I’ve never heard thunder that loud and it was just continuous for over 5 minutes. Thankfully it didn’t wake up Mara or Maggie. It’s raining again now and supposed to rain off and on until this evening.
Mara was awake when I got up about 7:30. Consequently she is back down for a nap at 10:00!!! She went to sleep so I know she needed it. She didn’t go to sleep until after 10 last night, so she’s short sleep. We need to run some errands after she gets up and has lunch. Need to drop off the baby books I sold and pick up the ones I’m buying for Sawyer.
Had a very productive morning. The one gal took 10 of the 12 mo sleepers; I re-listed the rest and almost immediately someone texted to buy 3 more of them. Fresh interest with the re-listing. So now what’s left is re-listed yet again. I’m happy to get this stuff gone. And I need to box up what we’re taking with to LaCrosse this weekend.
Wish I could shake this cough. I know it’s from my sinus drainage, but we’re on the 2nd week. May have to get it checked out if it doesn’t improve. Sounds kind of like croup or a smoker’s cough, and since I don’t smoke......
Have been chatting (via text) with DS Carol while she gets chemo this morning (18 of 20 I think). She is still having big issues with her feeding tube leaking all the time. Dr. tried a medicine that is to make it stop and her big issue too is that the skin around it burns and is very irritated. She’s had antibiotics and other issues.
Ok, I should get busy and do a few things while Mara is still napping. Will check back later. Another hockey game tonight. They finally won their first game of the season yesterday in Ottawa. In Toronto tonight.

I’ve been having the hardest time logging in today. I kept getting error messages. Everything seems to be ok now.
Ruth - glad to hear the Wild won. Sorry to hear Carol is having problems with her feeding tube. Prayers continue.
It’s been noisy in my neighborhood today. Replacing a roof a couple of doors down. They are making such a mess, some is overflowing into my neighbors yard. We’re supposed to get a soaking rain tomorrow so I hope they finish that roof today.
Did some shopping today, mostly walking around. Went to grocery store too. Enjoyed rotisserie chicken for lunch. Will take the rest of the chicken off the bones when I get home from work.
See ya tomorrow

Joyce, I guess we will be getting some of your rain starting tomorrow afternoon and continuing into Thursday. I plan on getting a rotisserie chicken one day next week. It has been awhile since we have had one.
Ruth, I think it is good for Bill to still be able to work a little. Although after he finishes this project he is going to tell his boss that he is finished with working. When he got home yesterday he was all enthusiastic about seeing the people in the office. I’m afraid once he no longer has a project to concentrate on he will spend a lot of time on the computer, and probably ordering things we don’t need. This whole project has only taken about 50 to 60 hours spread out over a number of weeks so he isn’t working all that much.
I worry that if we have to get ready to move quickly that we will have a tough time getting rid of things. We really have way too much stuff in the basement. The rest of the house isn’t too bad. Bill’s work room is full of tools, both hand and power. There are also several stacks of lumber that he keeps in case he might need it. UGH!!!!!!
