It’s National Grouch Day!
Karen, thanks for the start. Waynesville was founded in 1797. I did not eat any of the brownies or donuts. Iggy made mujadara (lentils, rice, onions), big old salad, baba ghanouj. Tomorrow I am making a cabbage soup. I am glad Arya is getting with the sleeping later program. I hope the dentist goes well.
Becky, I will be interested in what is new in the WW plan. I have never heard of the Lose It app. Is it better than ITB? Interesting on your loss on Freestyle. Did you eat a lot of the 0 point foods and if so, did you weigh and measure them?
Linda, how are the allergies today? Ragweed is low but mold is high here. Iggy likes poutine but I am not crazy about it. I am trying a new cabbage soup recipe tomorrow. I will put turkey kielbasa in Iggy’s before serving. It is an Eating Well adaptation of sauerkraut soup using cabbage as a substitute. I stead of chopping up cabbage and carrots I got some cole slaw mix.
Liz, how are things progressing, physically and on the telecommuting front?
Kathy, I saw that FSU got clobbered. Sorry! Fingers crossed for DN!
Iggy took yesterday off and we did a bunch of yardwork as well as house cleaning. Mr. Lemon is indoors a d so is the little pot of thyme. We still have to move on the rosemary and basil. We got the bird feeder pole in the ground and the feeders hung, but no visitors yet. I have the windows open a d can hear some birds chirping nearby. I hope they find the food. I went to old Kroger this morning, since I didn’t need the things they don’t carry any more. They are done reorganizing. Yay!

Karen, Liz, did you watch 9-1-1 last night? Buck’s story and Maddie’s story took turns. Yowser!
Linda, I watched the first episode of Press. Good story!
Karen, have you seen the Facebook commercial about the Bassett Hound group meeting on the beach? So cute!

Good afternoon chicks and thanks for the star Karen.
Linda - Good to know that Bob is able to get back to some regular tasks and most importantly that the checkup went well! It has to be much easier with single drops 3x per day instead of multiples. Wish your sinuses weren't causing so many headaches for you. I got the okay this afternoon for telecommuting; now I'm trying to get the right paperwork so that my boss can expedite if possible. DH and I really enjoy pork chops and sauerkraut. I still make a pork roast with sauerkraut for New Year's each year. We were 43 this morning with a high just about 60.
Chele- Any visitors to the feeders yet? Good that you've been making nice progress with bringing in the plants/herbs. Had PT yesterday evening that went pretty well; back to the less experienced tech but there were great notes from the other one and that helped the session. I am trying to transition from the cane to walking just room to room in the house. The stairs are still a point of weakness when trying to use both legs even with the cane. I love cabbage soup and haven't made it in years. You've inspired me to get the ingredients and try again.
Kathy - I think one of the most difficult things for me will be getting back to working in the city each day. I'm not especially looking forward to 4:15am wake ups and 12 hours days again. But one must do what is necessary to survive in this crazy world. Sending good wishes to DN for whichever internship comes through.
Becky - I am curious to see what you think of the new WW program but you certainly don't need to lose at this point. They continue to send me emails and I continue to delete them. I'm just not up to counting points and tracking every meal every day. My issue but nonetheless not something i want to deal with right now.
Karen - Have you found any additional information on the appliance you were seeking to purchase? I have PT again tomorrow and saw the primary yesterday morning. I almost fell out of my shoes when I got there as they told me I wasn't on the schedule. I looked at them like they were nuts. I waited about 15 minutes but she did see me and then was fairly shocked at what I had been through physically with the venous ulcer. UNA boot, Vein procedures and total hip replacement. Yep, it's been a bit of a challenging ride. I need to contact the Leave Management company to see what they require as to paper work from my surgeon. How was Dale's visit to the pool? Am happy to know that you're sleeping in a bit now with Arya. How are the knees doing? The itBandz is helping just a bit with the right knee and I am also going to try it on the left.
Have a safe and good evening all. Ciao for now~

Becky, 7 is pretty low for you. Did you feel like you were run down? How are you feeling today? I only got to 45 this morning after what I thought was a good night's sleep. Sleep stats looked good. I have really been crashing since and am down to 15 right now.
How do you store all those printed out recipes, Linda? I had accumulated a ton of them over the years and right before we moved, I scanned the ones I wanted to keep and tossed the rest. Too much clutter. I tend to store most of mine on the computer now. Do you put your fries in the air fryer frozen or thawed? Yes Arya, is finally sleeping later. She actually stirs at 5:30 when the alarm goes off if it's set, but if it doesn't go off, she crawls back under the covers for a while. It's nice! Congrats on things being back to normal in your household with Bob being back on "active duty". Good that he has time to get his eyes to work better together before he has to decide if there needs to be an adjustment. Will he just need one altered lens in his reading glasses? I have a fajita marinade that has beer as one of the primary ingredients. We tend to use Corona because we used to drink it when we lived in TX (before it went nationwide).
Kathy, that part of VA is very nice. It could be a bit chilly in the winter, at least by FL standards. If he's just there for a semester, it shouldn't be too bad. Will he go in January to where ever he's going? The other 2 locations are local there, correct?
Grouch day in general or as in Oscar the Grouch, Chele? I don't blame you for not eating the brownies or donuts in Waynesville. Slaw mix is a good shortcut for a lot of things. I have a soup recipe that I think I am going to do the same thing. It's a garlic and vegetable soup. But I am almost out of my homegrown garlic so I need to buy some organic on Thursday before I can make the soup. I'm happy that your ragweed has come down, given that you spent so much time outside yesterday. Did the mold affect you? Glad Iggy got some time off, even if he had to take the day. Are there plants on the shelf now? Either it's my computer or your avatar is sideways. It's pretty, though. Is it your yard? I'm sure the birds will find your new feeders very soon. Hope the squirrels and chipmunks do not. Good for the Kroger reorg being done. That's such a pain. Yes, on the Buck and Maddie storylines. I don't think much of Buck's attorney and in real life, if he sued Bobby, that would probably be a good reason for the brass to put him at another house, if he gets his job back. I wonder if Maddie is going to keep from Chimney how she met her new "friend" and if she'll end up putting her life in danger. That's also something that a real 9-1-1 dispatcher would never do because it's not ethical to do enough research to track down what she would need to find out where the woman works. I had seen the FB basset commercial before but Dale saw it for the first time during last night's episode. We think the dog they show first might be a bagel and not a full blooded basset.
Liz, what was on your agenda for the day? How is Zoe doing? Any word from St. Crazy on your telecommute? Odd that you weren't on the primary's schedule. I've had that happen once or twice but if I didn't hear from them, I called for confirmation. So your doctors' offices tend not to send anything to your primary? That's unfortunate because that meant you had to play catchup. Good idea to see exactly what they need from the surgeon.
I've felt tired since dentist appointment and have been wearing down since. Not great news from the dentist. There is a molar (I think it's the only one without a crown) that this dentist and the previous one have been watching for probably 6 or 7 years and it now has a crack, so I will have the first crown appointment in 2 weeks. Parting words from the dentist: "don't crack hickory nuts on the right side". I went to Aldi and Food City, dropped off craft fair advertising materials at the dentist and stylist before coming home where I crashed on the couch with my little miss. Fortunately, I was able to just warm up left over macaroni and veggies for lunch and dinner will also be a quick warmup.

Thanks for the start Karen.
Chele The WW plan is strictly rumor right now but freestyle is staying with 200 foods, smart points with 30 daily points is coming back with only fruit and non starchy veggies will be 0 points. It was hopeful they would bring back simply filling but it's not the old simply filling plan. It's more like a stricter freestyle with 16 daily points and who knows how many weeklies. There will be around 300 zero point foods but most of them are every kind of fish ever created and all kinds of potatoes.Again I said it's nothing written in stone just leaks from non official WW people.Lose It is a calorie counting app and I do like it better than MFP but I still have Itrackbites for points until I decide if I want to stay with WW. I do eat some 0 point foods like eggs, chicken breast, tuna and yogurt.I do weigh my chicken tenderloins and the Greek yogurt I buy in individual small containers. It may have been a fluke loss because I'm already up a little today but my IBS is acting up which may be the problem.I am not trying to lose any more.I just want to find a program I can maintain on.I'm glad Iggy was off yesterday. It sounds like you were both busy.
Linda It's good Bob has no restrictions now.
Liz I'm so glad you got the okay for telecommuting. Our high was 95 but a cool front is coming.I don't blame you for not wanting to think about dieting right now.I think the plans roll out the week of Nov 10.I may just pay a missed meeting fee and go to Taylor either the one time or go once a month for free etools.I am glad PT went well.
Karen I have been tired lately.I'm at 5 right now but my battery didn't charge much last night.Did you have any trouble with the app this morning?Somehow my Garmin was unpaired during the night then after I was able to pair it again the app was down for maintenance.I ended up installing and uninstalling the app 3 times this morning before it finally acted right. It also said I slept less than 4 hrs which isn't right so maybe that's when it got unpaired.Sorry about your bad news at the dentist.
