Welcome to the CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend still least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning,
Dottie - hope the storm wasn’t too bad yesterday.
We have more rain today, but not a soaking one - at least not yet. Cooled down a lot overnight. Breeze feels good coming through my bedroom windows.
Ruth - thanks for the update on Ann. She sure has had a rough time lately.
Sabres lost their first game yesterday to the Ducks. Bummer.
Work is going well. Our new addition (lot boy) is doing great. He is already helping a lot. Today he will learn how to stock in vehicles. Saturday he is working with me in the front office, I’ll be showing him how to do cash and credit transactions. He is a quick learner and is running rings around the other young man. Not sure when he is going for MRI, but according to the doctor he will either need PT for 2-3 months, or surgery which will keep him out of the lot for 6 months or so. Regardless, he will be very well rounded by the time he gets back to his old position. He is the brother of the other girl in our office, fun to listen to them pick on each other. Great part is that he will be working with me through the busy hours ... yay!
Making marinade chicken today, will top a nice salad with it. I’m getting my cooking mojo back. Putting together a meal plan for next week. I think crockpot beef stew in beer will be on next weeks menu. I haven’t had that in a while.
Time to get moving. See ya tomorrow

Joyce, happy to hear the “lot boy” is working out good. Sounds like he has a very good work ethic. I think the cooler weather makes me want to cook more also. Your crock pot beef stew sounds great.
Waving to Ruth.
We had quite a storm last night. Lots of rain and wind. Some areas of the state had it much worse, there are quite a few schools closed due to no power, trees down blocking roads or flooding. We didn’t lose power and no water in our basement. The storm brought quite a few leaves down. Not enough for Bill to use the leaf blower but enough to use the bagger on the lawn mower and then dump them at the curb. I’m heading out shortly to go to lunch with some friends and then some running around to do after lunch, hope the wind dies down some.

Good evening all. Joy, maybe the “lot” young man’s work ethic will rub off on the other young man. One can only hope. Whatever happened with his request to have a dog with him all the time? I love our dog, but could easily live w/o one and would have hated having one in our office all the time. Sounds like the new coach is doing good things with the Sabres. We are down 3-0 right now in Montreal. Have only won 1 game so far. Not looking good tonight.
Dottie, happy to hear you didn’t have any damage or water from the storms. Hope you enjoyed your lunch out and errands.
Mara slept all night last night and I got her up about 9:30 this morning. We returned her to her mommy about 11:30 and then went to lunch. Ran a couple errands and then DH decided he didn’t want to come home before he went to get his hearing aids. He suggested we take a walk around the lake in Central Park in the city just south of our old house. I’ve walked that with several different friends so I agreed to go. It’s just over a mile and we did it in about 21 minutes or so. I sat down once to rest and look at the water. Then we went to Costco and got his hearing aids. So far he seems to like them. He can control them with his iPhone and his Apple Watch so he’s a happy camper. We went to dinner in the local Mexican restaurant because it’s very noisy and he said they really helped cut the background noise. And he wasn’t noticing the tinnitus there either. But we got home and he somehow decided that the right one wasn’t working. But he’s also been in the bathroom messing with them so it’s entirely possible he’s done something to it. If he’d just leave them in and leave them alone!!!!! Time will tell if he’ll use them, keep them in, and benefit from them. But he has 6 mo to decide.
While we were out, I got a text message from DS Carol’s DH. She is going to have surgery tomorrow to replace her feeding tube. She’s been having terrible problems with it leaking, and the skin around it is messed up and it burns really badly. It’s supposed to be same day surgery, but I wouldn’t be surprised to hear that she’s admitted at least for overnight. He’s really afraid that with all the leakage, she’s not getting enough nutrition and that she’s getting weak from lack of calories. It’s very scary. And Carol herself has said that she’s getting close to needing to make some big decisions about the entire thing. She feels that the side affects from the treatments and everything might be worse than the disease. That’s even scarier!!!
I’m looking forward to seeing older DD and her family this weekend. I have a massage in the morning and then will come home, load up the car, and head out. I assume that shortly after I get back, DH will take Maggie to the boarding kennel and then get home to load up.
Have a great Friday all. Will try to check in at some point.
