Where do you get your information about how to lose weight/maintain a weight loss, and what foods/drinks to have?

I got most if not all of my info from Weight Watchers and the old WW message boards. When I started in 2006 they had the Good Health Guidelines and I followed them. The message boards taught me how to lose weight and especially how to maintain it. When I read article on the net about losing/maintaining weight it is stuff I already know.

1984 till about six years ago would go to WW when in the USA. Haven't been for that long so now glean information from the Internet. I try to think of the divide the plate, exchanges or ghgs in addition...have been dieting so long I think I know more than the leaders!

I guess WW. I also watched Hungry for Change on Netflix and that pushed me into a less processed food bent than WW. I mean, I still eat plenty of processed food, but I really try to cook more, and I found a funny coincidence that's sort of a mantra in my house, which is, if it's fast food, then it's easy to make at home. So we quite often make pizza, cheeseburgers, tacos, chicken strips, and other fast-food-like meals at home. They are just as satisfying and don't have crazy chemicals in them.
On the other hand, I question most nutrition information. I think it all has a political motive.

Like cathygeha, I have been doing this for so long I have a lot of information memorized. Way back in the day I started counting calories and have come back to this for the past few years. My recipes usually have calorie information, and I get info on line, and I still have an old book that lists calories for almost everything you can think of including common restaurant items.

irisinnia, Good for you for making the meals at home. I also wonder about the source of the nutrition information out there between who is backing the research to people just want a click bait article.

Mainly I just use PP, and I cook most of my meals at home so I know exactly what I'm putting in my pie hole.
