T.G.I.F.... and thankful it is a half day for me today! I will work until about 12:30, then Tracy & the girls & I are going apple picking! Going to be a "quick" picking as it will be pretty cold I think! Then buy some pumpkins to come home to carve! Tomorrow is the Pumpkin Festival that we go to every year - (and I have not "enjoyed" for the past several years) So I am trying to Just.Say.No.! I just don't want to GO or DO anything this weekend! I'll have Zoë overnight tonight - and tomorrow while they work - then I'll have Eden Sunday, so I think staying home Saturday night is a good thing! Tracy may still go with everyone else - and Ken may even go - I told him he doesn't have to stay home on account of me - so we'll see how this goes.
Sunday we will put the last of the stuff that we can - into the dumpster. I thought it was FULL but Ken says there is still room for a few things - so we'll see.
Meanwhile - I am NOT working tomorrow... instead, today I will ask Crystal if next week - the other girls can cover for me, as I cover for Debbie and get my ATM Caught up! They can all pretend I am on vacation and just do my work for me! It isn't that much of a burden on them as each of them does only 1-3 "tasks" for me - so them splitting it up would just make sense. We did this a couple of years ago - while Ken & I worked together each day to get this ATM Settlement "learned"... so darn it they can do it again! Well I HOPE she will agree!
Have not been journaling - tracking - thinking this week about my meals and snacks... pretty much grabbing what's here & there... so this weekend I also have to get a handle on that! I need to figure out a meal plan for next week - around work schedules, and leaving Friday. I can't go these next 7 days flying by the seat of my pants! UGH!
I took a walk yesterday - well, walked from work up to the church to donate blood. Then walked the longer way back to my car. Made over 5k steps - so that's a good day of moving (for me)!
Shelly: WOW! What a nice surprise!!! So glad you were able to go out to eat and meet the boyfriend - and just have the time together. So good of her to come so far out of her way to see you!! Thanks hun... I know...he's young, but my Matt is not in the best of health to begin this "journey"... hoping for the best... can't let myself think of the worse case - until he sees the surgeon and the oncologist again!
OK GF Time to be getting up out there... heading to your WO... so glad you are still committed to your WOs!
Gabrielle: Happy and SAFE travels to you - see you next week! BTW I never got the name/address of where we are meeting?
♥hugs♥

Ahhh yes, TGIF!! Carole - you sound good. Really good. Stay positive and you are right, the doctors don't feel Matthew's condition is urgent but it will be a necessary journey for him...I am so very tempted to start taking MONDAYS off! I am bone weary exhausted from work but yep, the light is there at the end of this tunnel - I woke in the middle of night with anxiety over the students' test results and getting parent reports printed and ready before November 4 conferences. Really? Ugh. I hate worrying over something so manageable and not really the end of all ends. Hope Crystal agrees with your Plan to help Debbie's work load next week. I vote for staying home Saturday night!! lol Plus the temps are cold now, like 40s at night. Brrrr.... Sue - hope Paint Night was fun and you are pleased with your Fall picture I have a simple Fall picture hanging in my LR of a pumpkin patch, with "Hello pumpkin" - makes me smile. Gabrielle - well, that is interesting to have a Dress Code for a business course but you know, I agree! Drives me nuts to see outfits at Conferences ranging from business suits to workout leggings especially leggings on women who should NOT be wearing them out in public! This is a Conference not WalMart! lol Lately at work I've been wearing black 'Skechers' with my business casual outfit. My feet hurt all the time now that I'm pumping out 10,000 steps/stairs each day! I gotta get over it but still, I am not used to the look. Jenny - enjoy your rain. In fact, I'll send you mine LOL Actually now it's just cold and cloudy. Tomorrow the Sun is supposed to peek out. Shelly - what a wonderful surprise from your high school friend!!! How fun to have enjoyed time away from work to just sit and visit!! Yay!!! Okay, gotta get moving again...today is Make Up exams day which is a lot of hustle finding students who need to either finish their computer test OR were absent when their class took it. AND help each K class learn the computers. Promises to be busy. I may need to go in tomorrow just to get caught up on my Evaluation reports. Hate feeling behind schedule...anyways HAPPY FRIDAY

Morning Carole, Christine and all to come....it's another chilly one here in Glenville but at least the winds have died down a bit! Got home from paint night last night and promptly turned the heat on! It was only 64° in the house and that's too cold for me! It's only 68-69° this morning but it's a cozier warm and the damp, raw feel is gone! With temps not coming up to anything that would "warm the house" at all, it was time.
I have a short day today....will work through lunch and get out at 2:00 pm to get K/J off the bus and load up their stuff...then head over to the middle school to get Colton. They will spend the night and Sarah will come in the morning!
They have requested mac 'n cheese and hot dogs so guess that's what we are having! No biggie....Grandma will always cater to their choices when I can!
Should still be able to pop in and catch up tonight.
I did a quick skim of the posts just now...
Carole...such great news that the cancer is localized. That is a HUGE plus. Unfortunately, this type of cancer is often one that is not caught this early because the symptoms are ones that people don't quickly get checked out by doctors because they assume it's something else, so the prognosis can be grim but catching it in the localized stage is AWESOME and will be a much better journey....not easy and not without struggles but definitely treatable!
Waves all...personals later! TGIF!

Good morning! Once again thankful for Friday. And casual Friday for Homecoming weekend-yay!
Carole-glad to hear that the cancer is localized and hope that it can be quickly treated. How nice to go apple picking this afternoon...our local apple orchard has been very busy but it also sells pumpkins.
Shelly-yay for nice visit with high school friend!
Gabrielle-hope your business conference is going well and safe travels home.
Sue-how did he painting go? We've had our heat on for about a week now.
Christine-hope you can find all the students for make up exams.
Jenny-we had our rain earlier in the week, but I think there's more coming on Monday, like 90% chance. Sunday might be the last day we hit 70.
Not sure what I am doing at work today because I filled in for the receptionist yesterday. But whatever it is I'll manage and can also turn in a timesheet which means I've been there for 4 weeks already.
Greg and I got a walk in yesterday before attorney meeting, and we are being directed to make a trust so that everything is seamless when one of us or both of us pass. So we decided to go that way, and get it signed soon and then we can forget about it, hopefully for a long time.
I gotta get organized for the morning. Probably a trip to the grocery store is on my agenda today, or at least Old Time Meat and Deli. Have an awesome Friday!

Morning everyone
Well I have to work tomorrow for a scale-tech refresher course from 8-3 but it's all overtime which is good and it's only one Saturday twice a year to keep us updated with everything, but I'm hoping for an early release to get home and take pictures of Audrey and her homecoming dress and of the group she goes with. Plus, both the Oregon Ducks are playing at 12:30pm and Oregon State is playing at 11:30am so the freeway's will be packed going into Corvallis and that's where the class is at so I just don't want to deal with traffic for the games. Carole sounds like good news that the Cancer is localized at least there's no spreading anywhere. Lots of positive thoughts and prayers for Matthew. Sue I loved the painting you did last night I need a fall painting in my house, yours was really cute. Christine did you get heavy winds like Carole this week? Gabrielle good luck with your marathon. Hello to Lisa and Shelly.
Sorry so short but gotta run for now
Jenny

Hello... yes I got out of work at 12:30... using 4 hours of vacation time - it's all good! We went apple picking - then the girls picked out pumpkins... now they are carving... stopped and bought fish & chips to re-heat for dinner! I know... I know... but OK I'll start getting back on track tomorrow!
Christine: I feel pretty good - then I have my "moments"... but life goes on! HA! I looked at the calendar - pretty much every Friday from now until the end of the year are "taken", so I have 3 Mondays and 1 Friday... with 4 hours not scheduled yet... IF I need to adjust things due to Matthew needing something or Debbie being out... then I will figure it out!
Yeah, well my "plan" for covering Debbie didn't go "as planned"! That;s a surprise, huh??? Apparently Kaitlin is feeling "overwhelmed" and is not sure she can do much for me... blah - blah - blah... however the other two girls, no problem... Deb has actually been helping me the past 2 days! Anyway... I will try to get in early - and even stay late - and just get the darned things done! Hopefully by Wednesday I won;t have to BOTHER Queen Bee!
Yup, staying home Saturday night... all day actually...no plans to leave my house the next 2 days! Matt will pick Zoë up after they get out of work - and they want to visit their good friends - to let them know what's going on with Matthew... so tomorrow afternoon will be "kid free" for me! Supposed to be a chilly one tomorrow so MAYBE I will sit in the hot tub for part of the afternoon and just VEG!
UGH! Do not get me started on "leggings" as dress code appropriate! Our dress code reads leggings with tops/dresses that come to mid thigh... ummmm.... yeah, maybe SOMEONE should do a walk through OUR department some day!! Hence why I do not worry about my footwear! LOL I will throw others under the bus if I get called in for my shoes! Yup, I wear my black slip on sketchers some days too... and my Vionic flip flops!! LET them call me out on it!
YAY to getting over 10k steps... but OUCH!
Yikes... that is why I should go in... but I have no desire!

Afternoon all....got out of work at 2:00 pm, got K/J off the bus then got to the middle school and THANKFULLY Colton was waiting for me and Amanda didn't "pull a fast one" and get him before I could get there. I know she knows he's with us but I guess she knows that she doesn't have a leg to stand on at this point! Oh, and Colton got here and lost a tooth so now the "tooth fairy" has to come tonight! LOL! Had to text Sarah to find out what the going rate is for a tooth these days!
Christine...thanks for starting us off yesterday! I think the winds found the entire state of PA yesterday but at least we didn't get the Nor'easter that Carole, Nancy and a bunch of others dealt with....lots of power outages in NE yesterday! ♪♫♫♪ And the rain rain rain came down down down in rushing rising rivlets...and the river crept out of its bed and rushed right into Piglets ♪♪♫♪ LOL...my girls already told me they wouldn't tolerate the same "sh!t" my DM pulls so not to even try!
Yes Christine...we have loved the time shares and used them a lot over the years we had them but unfortunately once you own them, you own them forever and then they are passed down to your heirs....well, our heirs do not want them so since we bought them we took it as our responsibility to get rid of them and not saddle them with the process/expense after we are gone! As of yesterday...it is ALL behind us! The last one closed yesterday!
Gabrielle....glad you got some "liquid precipitation" to hopefully clear the smoke and get the air out there a bit more "human friendly"! Honestly, never heard of a "run flat" tire but sounds like it save the day on Tuesday when Ed came and swapped cars to get it fixed! YAY...so glad the polyps were benign! Many people have them and most are benign but when you have them best to keep a check on them so hopefully she will be open to get another colonoscopy when the doctor recommends it! Never heard of a "shifting" colon? Might have to google that one!

Sue: OMG You get to have Colton TOO!? WOW! How COOL is that??? LOL We have hot dogs almost every Friday night!! I have them for Zoë tonight... but like I said WE are having fish & chips!
Oh Sue - thank you... confirmed my thoughts... I know it won't be "easy", but better than I "feared"... ♥ "localized" just sounds better than some folks hear!
Lisa: YAY for casual Friday! I did that today as well... figured I'd be fine in comfy pants and sneakers - since it was "only" 1/2 day! LOL We have had our heat on as well... NOT going to feel cold in my own hose. Today we got some pellets to get us through until we pick up our TON that we have on lay-a-way. Must get those next week when Ken is on vacation...
Yes our local orchards also sell pumpkins, so we got everything in one trip! Oh I am so jealous that your are getting a trust organized for "that time"... I so wish I had that in me to get it done!
Jenny: YAY for OT if you have to go in on Saturday! I "should" go in - but quite frankly I do NOT give a damn right now! Oh boy... working Saturday has it's challenges for you huh??? Good luck ♥ {{{hugs}}}

Gabrielle....last night's paint night was so fun! scontent.fagc1-2.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/72479114_2596390237093692_1194102308170891264_n.jpg?_nc_cat=107&_nc_oc=AQkQJ5z0e7aBfMxoYgOzI0qCyoiX1B6pPYLgv5h0QvFaSpsJ_hQXrl-ELbIAQ06TyKLdeYraE_QDiaPam9bhm8Tt&_nc_ht=scontent.fagc1-2.fna&oh=af205bcba8c678f52de71762e9b243f4&oe=5E312292 It was a small group and this link is the group picture Lacey took last night...I love how all of them turned out great and each scarecrow has his own personality! Burlap is one of those "canvases" that is easier but harder! It's odd but a fun medium! I love my scarecrow! He is already hanging!
WOW Gabrielle....that is a pretty strict dress code....definitely planning if you usually have your "go to outfits" for traveling! I'm sure you will be well within the guidelines! YUM....chicken and steak tacos sound pretty tasty. Will say that my Whopper and onion rings from BK didn't "sit" as well in my system as it has in the past....
Honestly Carole...for an hour, I would not have gone back either! It seems funny...the vein that I give double reds with is so small and looks so NOT big enough yet it works every time! But glad you got in and out quickly and could enjoy a little down time! ABSOLUTELY NOT....you will not lose your last 40 hours of vacation....Debbie's unexpected surgery/time off is not your responsibility to cover and you earned and can take your earned time! I love the idea of Mondays off...that would be my choice....Fridays are nice for short days but Mondays are the best for a "recupe" day after the weekend!
Thankfully Carole Rowan and now Jason seems to be the only ones that got the virus....have to laugh at Jason, I told him I broke out my oils as soon as Rowan was sick and I've been fine. I encouraged him to try the wellness roller and see if it held the virus at bay and if he needed other meds. Today he came home and said that he feels like he is "over the hump" and has not taken any OTC meds! I told him that next time he just needs to be "proactive" and when the germs start to fly, roll the oils on just in case! Maybe he will try it next time but I'm glad he tried this time! Had to laugh, someone at work yesterday told him he smelled like Italian sausage!
OK....catch up time is over....I have 4 hungry "boys/men" wanting dinner!

Good evening from Deloitte University in Lakeview TX....will try to post a picture (not sure how)....
Left for the airport at 4:00 am so it has been a long day...this place is pretty amazing. All food is free and it is everywhere--seafood, prime rib, desserts, Starbucks...you name it. The flight was fine and, so far, I am following the dress code
Carole: Apple picking and pumpkin carving sounds like a perfect fall afternoon! Glad that you will stand your ground and relax this weekend--you must be exhausted. I agree with Sue--Mondays off sounds nice! So sorry that your plan for others to help with your work didn't pan out. Seems so unfair. also glad to hear about Matt's cancer being localized. I know that the two weeks will seem like forever but I have a feeling it might move quickly from that point on. We will see though. Hope that you get a good night's sleep! By the way, the restaurant is Bonefish Grill, Arlington - 1101 S. Joyce Street B-26, Arlington, VA. We have a reservation for Friday, 10/25 at 6:45 pm.
Christine: Black Sketchers are just fine! Yep, strict dress code and I am sorry that they have to tell people to dress that way! Thankfully, I can get a cup of coffee after my run tomorrow without being in"business casual"...the Starbucks is kind of on its own. Uggh...I will be glad when you have that testing done so that you can relax!
Sue: Sounds like a fun afternoon and evening with the boys! How much is a tooth going for these days? You get the WHOLE grandma experience Yes, I felt so lucky to have DH to help me with the tire...he is a keeper. LOL about Jason smelling like italian sausage--whatever works, right?

Lisa: Love the picture of Kennedy! Good for you and DH for getting out on your walk!
Shelly: How fun to have that time with your friend--and wonderful that she stopped by to see you! Loved reading about it Good job with your workouts---you are really doing so well sticking with them!
Jenny: Hope that you can get out of your class to get Homecoming pictures---I'll bet that you can. It's a refresher course, right? DS25 is heading to Eugene to meet DS20 for a U of O football game the weekend of 11/15. I love college football (but the traffic must be a pain).
Hello to all who follow. Long days for the next few days--no weekend It is pretty here though and the people here are so interesting. I will try to post a picture.
Hope that you all have a good start to your weekend!
