MOVE IT MONDAY... Where can we add MOVING to our day?? I know that no matter how busy it is - I can Just.Walk.Away., every hour - yes, I can... I just have to make myself Just.Do.It.! NOW to make it happen! HA! I know it will be a long BUSY day - but I am trying my best to get this mess caught up before Friday - so that's my goal... with taking a 250 step "break" every hour... that's the plan! I will try to take my morning break - and a short lunch, but there may not be much "moving" involved there - although - I need to get my walking legs ready for this weekend in DC! There will be a LOT of walking there! SO that's the PLAN! Pork chops for dinner tonight with leftover sides... need to either use them this week or get them in the freezer before Friday!
Oops, never did get my eggs cooked! Darn! Oh well... my salad is ready to go - with a jar of soup to take for snack - I also have a protein shake and my almonds - with plenty of water and tea and seltzer!
Not a lot of time - but let's see if I can catch up here!

Hey Sue - Saturday was fairly simple - yet I got a lot done here as well! Yes, woke up Sunday feeling much better. I have absolutely no idea what they ended up doing with Debbie - she is not very forthcoming with details! According to her husband they repaired the hernias and un-tangled the small intestine from the hernia - so yes, they may very well have to let her recover before they go in again!
God I need your money sense when it comes to choosing insurance! I can't do a $2500. Flex spending though so most of our deductibles are completely out of pocket or on CC! So if your medical bills are so "low" each year - how do you use the $2500.00 in your FSA??? I am so afraid of the use it or lose it!
I so want Matthew to head to Boston - but I think he just wants to do whatever is the easiest - and the quickest...
I need to figure out some "holiday" blends - to diffuse here... Tracy did straight Thieves Saturday when Zoë was so stuffy... ward those germs off here! That's another thing - as Matthew starts his treatments - we may have Zoë here a little more than usual! He won't be able to be around her if his immune system is compromised - will he??
Hey I didn't leave my house/yard all weekend! Saturday I spent about an hour in the tub in the sun - then yesterday morning we took our coffee out for some more of the same... I think 3 times we said we "should" be getting things done - but then said "to Hell with it"... and just sat there for a while longer!! No guilt!
Hmm, someone said we got about 2 1/2" of rain - but I don't know for sure... I do know our back yard is kind of "squishy" this weekend! LOL Not terrible - but it is certainly not DRY! Aww, poor Jason - hopefully the potatoes get dug and all works out around the rains!
LOL Tracy saw your post about squash yesterday - she was like DARN - If Sue were coming to DC we could have her bring us some! LOL

Oh Sue... yes... I most likely will get the sleep study - but it's not a priority for me unless they can get it done this year. I mean seriously - if it were that "serious" would they make me wait?? I am going to squeeze in a visit to HR this week - to let her know my thoughts on our insurance... and see if she will make a call to the banks liaison to BCBS, just to get an idea of WTH they are doing/thinking! IT just makes me angry! Add to that if I need to be here to help Matt - yes even financially - if they need something I will do what I can to help... so waiting until January to spend another $1250. due to insurance BS is not in my game plan right now!
Gabrielle: Thanks for starting us off Sunday... Ummm, probably NOT what you wanted to hear from me on "Self-respecting" Sunday! Sorry - I am just so angry and frustrated with insurance these days!
Hopefully your trip home was uneventful - as was the drive?? Are you with others that travels to TX with you as well?? Or is this trip a solo trip?? Glad you had your Deputy Supt to run with - headlamps and all!
Christine: LOL Well DH will bring the laundry down when he needs clothes, right??? Good call to bring your chairs in for the winter... hate to do it though Huh?? LOL Ya' know the days where you start one "project" that leads to moving this and doing that?? That was my day yesterday... UGH Still not sure how to make the back room "work" with bringing in the summer cabinet!! Still getting a few things in the dumpster - more room in there than I realized... in the end it will go not quite as full as it could be I guess!
Gabrielle: Corn chowder came out OK... I had to tweak it a bit - didn't have all what I "needed"... used all the broth in the squash soup so had to improvise - but it was OK... we had a cheesy garlic bread with it - so it was very filling. I would not want to have intentional power outages - I mean I get it... sort of... but MAN that has to be tough! LOL Yup, I stayed home! ALL WEEKEND! I saw on FB that yes my sisters went to the pumpkin-fest, with Jaclyn, Eden and Tim... saw that and felt a twinge of jealousy - but this was my choice, and I am still glad I didn't go! HA! Again I am not sure it's the sleep study place... I blame insurance!!
Yes, While I am grateful they are getting Matt's plan of action moving - it feels... "rushed"? I don't know, I can go back and forth from grateful to scared in the beat of my heart!
HA! I am kind of "anxious" about meeting so many new folks this week! Just me being weird... and it will be great to see you - and meet Lise... I am easily "intimidated" so I need to get over that ASAP! LOL I need to check the "dress code" for the restaurant! We will most likely be in jeans from traveling... need to be sure that is acceptable!
Christine: Good luck to your yard project... LOL I chopped my huge bushes down to the ground, and darn they are already re-growing! LOL I thought for sure I would kill them off... but they are hardy buggers!
Thanks hun - yes, journaling does "help", I just need to make the time... no Matt works for a different bank - thank goodness! HIS bank pays the "deductibles" for their employees! So that is a Godsend for him right now! His office is just up the street from mine... Tim is still at BJs, been there 22 years!
Congrats to your hairstylist on her being cancer free!
Sue: Aww, I wish the rains would hold off a few more days! We had a slight frost here the other night - but didn't seem to ruin anything. Still have lots of leaves on the darned trees! Even the winds and rain didn't drop the leaves here yet!
YAY for being able to combine trips and save time and gas!
Lisa: YAY for a lounging start to the Sunday! We did the same thing here!

OK Need to get moving now... so much for an earlier start to the day! UGH! Not good when I already running late on a Monday!I was awake for about an hour from 2-3AM then didn't wake up until the alarm - so already felt "behind" when I got up!!
Oh well, like I said my lunch and snacks are pretty much ready to throw in the lunch bag - so it is what it is!
Not sure what I will go into this morning - with leaving early Friday... pretty sure Crystal never bothered to even look at the same-day-ACH things that came in and should have been dealt with... gotta love it!
Will check in later if I can ♥hugs♥

Good morning from Sonoma California!
This is a beautiful part of the wine country but, so far, I have not really seen it. Got here in the dark (10:00 pm) and woke up in the dark (still) so will enjoy it on the drive to the ALL DAY meeting. But, the sooner today is over the better...after the 1/2 day meeting tomorrow I get to go home and do my packing for Washington DC! Yay! While I had three coworkers with me in TX, I travelled here alone. My Superintendent is here (he called me last night and talked to me on the phone until I was within 2 miles--was worried I was overtired). I think that I will miss not having a weekend at some point, but so far so good.
Carole: I love that, although in your "head" you thought you should get moving, you chose to stay in the hot tub and relax!!! That was a SELF-RESPECTING thing to do--face it, you have had a TOUGH week and you need to care for yourself. Yes, it does seem that you might need to help with Zoe more in the future for a few reasons (even the compromised immunity that might come along with it). So, I have not been in your situation, but I do want to speak to it seeming like things are rushed (just based on my own experience with thyroid cancer). I remember being stunned at so quickly things progressed once I had my diagnosis but, looking back, I realize that the diagnosis lead me immediately to the experts--the people who dealt with this every single day and came to it with a lot of history and experience and knowledge about what to do next that was best. At the same time there is ALWAYS time for a second opinion. Another expert will always be able to step in quickly and provide feedback. I have to say too that the internet was helpful when I was looking for the best surgeon I could find who had a lot of experience, etc. While it is AWFUL to feel out of control, it is also a great thing once you get with the people who REALLY know their stuff. Hugs to you. Hey, Friday night will be fun once you get settled....the people with us (Bob and Wendy) are SUPER easy going and have a great sense of humor. I can really see us all having a good time. I hope that jeans and nice shirt are fine because I wasnt' planning to pack anything else Will look it up as well. In CA, jeans are okay most of the time (TX was picky though ) Hope that today is a good day for you--your lunch sounds great!

Sue: Sorry about the rain and Jason's frustration trying to get it all done! Hope that he has a break and can get on top of it. Good for you for staying home on Saturday! Sounds like a nice way to be home after so much travel for you.
Christine: I LOVE the laundry rule for Gary and how you stick with it! Good for you! I am terrible about pruning bushes...here my DH is a rancher and prunes all of the time and I am afraid that I am going to butcher my plants...I know though that they always seem healthier later. Good idea to give it a shot and rethink next summer if needed. A good pruning can make such a difference---and save $ as well! Did you and Carly watch a Christmas movie? I can't believe how many are on right now (and I am not complaining). Nice to settle in and relax! Yes, Deloitte knows how to run a training and it was great on the idea of "soft skills" -- navigating different kinds of personalities (and being honest about your own), thinking through who your stakeholders are and who your advocates might be---really well laid out. Hope that you have a good week ahead and finish up testing once and for all!!
Lisa: Hope that you had some time to plan your outfits, etc. for the week--you are good at that!
Hello to all who follow. The time has slipped away and now I need to get ready and be "energetic". Hope to see you all later (if not, then tomorrow morning).

Well the weekend got away from me. Sorry. First off I lost a filling Friday and of course my dentist is closed on Friday. Then after work I had to go To town and finish shopping for Keeley’s bday party for Saturday afternoon. I worked Saturday until it was almost time to go to the party and Then the DGK came over later so DS Michael and DDIL Vicky could have a date night. I worked Sunday later than planned and when I came home I was exhausted. So it’s been a few days since I’ve been here. Sorry. Going to Lubbock TX next weekend to watch the kids dance at their first competition for the year. I’m excited for them. This will be Alexis first ever competition. I hope she does good. Keeley will be in a title competition that will qualify her for a trip to Disney World to compete again. We will see. It involves an interview, dance class with the judges and there solo. Last year she had a higher score on the dance but not the interview or class. So I hope she is ready.
Today I made it to the dentist. Thank goodness they had an opening. They had 2 cancellations and I was able to make the later one!!! Ugh I was so frustrated. I was using my waterpik and it knocked it right out. It’s the second time something like this has happened. Not sure if it’s my dentist not doing a good enough job or the location of the cavity. Both times they have been on the side by the gum line. But fixed now
Ok Carole I got my workout in before work but nothing extra afterglow that. Just my normal Monday workday. Hope you get caught up before Friday. Where did you say you are going? Is this a pre-birthday weekend trip?
Carole haven’t read back about the insurance but I will tell you I have a HSA account and I use it for dr visits, lab work, prescriptions, dentist appointment, eye dr, mammo since mine is the diagnostic and I have to have 2 a year both are not covered. Basically anything health related. Mine is not a use it or lose it but I seldom have a large amount in it since I have prescriptions and stuff. I put $42 a week and the employer puts $12 so that is $2800 a year if I never used it. Right now I have very little in it. I had to pay the dr for my scope and the hospital for what insurance didn’t cover which used up what I had in there.
Might want to encourage Matt to use thieves regularly especially with his immune system being compromised. Put on bottom of his feet daily and diffuse regularly. He will definitely want to be proactive with this!!! So sorry he is going through this.
Sue no wonder you have a hard time getting motivated today. You guys have been really busy with your gardening. What a great crop this year. Congratulations!!!!
Gabrielle sorry you didn’t get to see the beautiful wine country while you was traveling. Yes frustrating that you was there but no time for site seeing
Well need to get to bed but will try to go back and read what I’ve missed. Hope to be back tomorrow
