Welcome to the CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend still least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning,
I just never got around to posting yesterday, no reason other than I kept forgetting.
Saturday went well at work. It was a bit crowded, but that was to be expected. Lot boy was great to work with. As soon as he walked through the door he was looking for work, took initiative and started processing the new vehicles that came in on Friday. He almost has the entire process down, learned the rest and can do them start to finish. This week he is going to be training with other cashier. He picks up things quickly, and he wants to learn. I think he’s going for MRI today, hopefully no surgery will be needed. He misses working on the lot and can’t wait to get back. So different from the other young man that is working with us.
Chatted with DB and DSIL for a bit after church yesterday. It was a beautiful sunny day and they were going for a drive to see local color. They planned on listening to football game, dvd was set in case they wanted to rewatch it. Bills won, but it was an awful game against Miami. When the Dolphins coach decided to bench the QB and put in Fitzpatrick, I knew the game would be a challenge. Fitz has that magic that can turn games upside down. He almost got a win for them ... almost.
Ruth - so sorry to hear about Carol. Prayers continue. Hope all is resolved with that feeding tube soon. Sorry to hear about the accident too, glad everyone is okay. Great that you are going to be able to fix that toddler bed for Mara. The Universe does seem to provide ...
Dottie - I was never much of a gardener. My mom was, she enjoyed going outside and taking care of her flowers and it showed. Years ago I had beautiful hydrangeas in my front yard. There were unbelievably full of blooms, but they got too huge and when I cut them back they eventually stopped flowering. If I had the room, I’d try to grow them again, but ....
See ya tomorrow.

Good afternoon all! It’s pouring rain here. Rained hard during the night. Was up with Mara from 1:30 to 3:30. She wanted rocked. Finally got her back to bed.
They admitted Carol, finally at 3:15 am, after arriving in the ER at 9:30 pm. They did nothing for her in the ER, no IV fluids, no pain meds, no clean up of the bleeding. Finally did some of that once she got a room. But still no food until surgeon comes to check on the feeding tube bleeding. She’s becoming frustrated with the entire chemo / feeding tube and the side affects of both.
Mara’s family was involved in that car accident on Saturday and their car was damaged. Stan just left to meet DS at their house to leave his car for DIL to get to work at 3 pm and DH will take DS to pick up the rental car so DS can get back to work. We have Mara until dinnertime tomorrow.
I have laundry going and need to figure out dinner. Stan needs to get back for a dr. appt. for his stiff neck. He really shouldn’t be driving, especially alone, because he can hardly turn his neck either direction w/o pain. I’m guessing he’ll end up at the neck/back place I was for PT.
Got Mara down for a nap and changed around laundry. Now to have some lunch!!! Have a good day all. It’s nutty around here!!!

Joyce, I have 2 hydrangeas in my front yard. They are beautiful when they bloom the problem is that the front of my house faces west and the last 2 years there was a warm spell in February and the bushes budded and then a cold spell in March and froze the buds. I read (several years after they were planted) that they should not be planted in a west exposure. They were too big to move so we left them and enjoy them the years they bloom. Glad to hear the lot boy worked out okay and is a quick learner.
Ruth, hope that they were able to help Carol. I’m surprised that they didn’t at least start an IV for her so she wouldn’t dehydrate. Sorry to hear about the accident that DS and family were in. At least no one was injured but dealing with insurance companies can be a major hassle. Was the car totaled? Nice to be able to see where the oldest DGDs live.
Busy day today. I went to get my oil changed first thing this morning. We have free life time oil changes from the place we bought our vehicle from. They have a quik lube oil change but that took over an hour. Not sure why it was so slow, usually I’m in and out in about 45 minutes. When I got home we left for the lake, someone wanted to see the boat. The guy bought the boat, we didn’t get what we asking but were happy with the price. The guy had cash with him and drove a truck so took the boat home with him. At least Bill doesn’t have to spend the time or money to winterize the boat. As soon as we got home Bill called the insurance company to cancel the insurance and tomorrow I will go to DMV to turn in the license plate.
