Good Morning Chicks and happy Monday,
Chele - belated Happy Birthday to Iggy! Sounds like you did great with his presents and hope he enjoyed the chicken dinner last night. I have bought Gary "snappy socks" for the past several years. In the city they have been the trend with the gents trying to outdo socks with each other. I hope you have a nice day! We are in the low 40s going up into the upper 60s after the weekend not going much above 60. Sat. was sunny, windy and chilly and yesterday it rained all day in varying amounts.
Linda - hope you and DH are both feeling better. That's quite a chore to put the d-earth (Karen's term) all around the house. My knees and hips would not survive that at this point. PT late this afternoon and still waiting to hear about telecommuting. I have readers all over the house as I tend sometimes to misplace a pair or leave them upstairs when going downstairs.
Becky - hope you're feeling less tired today. Sounds like you were very busy over the weekend and continue to have the not lovely heat. Keeping fingers crossed that the cool front will come through and give you some relief!
Kathy - Are you almost ready for DMs BD now? Did you or DSIL find the remainder of the party items you needed? Any big effects from Nestor for you?
Karen - Sounds like the hike went well, I need to go back and read Friday after I posted because I only read up on the weekend. The ladies lunch was very nice but awfully long (3.5 hours). My neighbor made Middle Eastern faire so we had homemade hummus, tzatziki, eggplant and rice dish, lovely salad and apple cake. One neighbor made oatmeal cookies with dark choco chips and blueberries and another brought a pomegrante and apple torte. The conversation was lively and the company overall good. I walked several laps after coming home from the lunch as my hip and legs were very stiff. I really didn't eat very much but tasted everything. I spent a good portion of Sat. overnight in the bathroom with bowl issues which continued for most of yesterday as well. Have been drinking water to rehydrate and trying to eat bland. Not sure what specifically triggered it but I felt poorly yesterday between that issue and all my joints aching. PT late this afternoon which I hope will help. My boss had some bad news about his wife's pregnancy Friday and understandably probably didn't do anything with my letter and request. I hope he is able to follow through today. Was having work dreams which really is disturbing about the presentation for the new building:-/ . You were a busy gal with chores and prepping Arya's food. How are the knees and tops of your feet doing from the hike?
Wishing you all a safe and good day! Ciao for now dear ladies~

Liz, I am glad you enjoyed the company of the ladies, but sorry something upset your stomach. Couldnât be fun especially with stiff and sore joints. I am sorry to hear bossâ wifeâs pregnancy is not going well. Work dreams are never any fun. I hope you recover a d have a good PT session this afternoon. We are supposed to reach 70° again today with rain later this afternoon. Karen, did Michigan lose AGAIN? you never know what will happen in the OSU/MI matchup. MI might rally behind the emotions of the rivalry. I did read that Reynaudâs could be primary or secondary. Your family gene pool must be susceptible. Popsicle toes sounds so cute but not the reason behind them. I have had to endure Yankee hatred since I moved to Ohio. The Reds are my second favorite team. How is the pretty princess today? Have you told her she is going to the vet yet? Having traveled quite a bit I am happy to stay home most of the time. I do like road trips but am over traveling by plane. Kathy, I havenât been to Gatlinburg since I was 23, so I donât remember much about it except the shopping and our hike io the mountain. Sounds like an up and down weekend of college ball. The Cincinnati Bungles were terrible again yesterday. They lost the ball on a play that was so bad we died laughing, because we couldnât believe our eyes.there is a Bengals fan who owns a restaurant who has vowed to remain on his roof until the Bengals win. Maybe sometime next fall, I am guessing. Becky, I am glad you felt revived yesterday. I hope a cool breeze blows your way soon. Linda, I will have to check out Mystery Match. I play a couple of matching games. I hope you and Bob slept well and feel okay today. I took the car in for an oil change and they didnât find anything else wrong with it. Yay! I picked up sushi and Mesclun and Mesclun salad for dinner and got a couple of coconut macaroons for Iggyâs birthday âtreatâ. I also found some fresh looking black seedless grapes. He is picky about his grapes and the only really fresh ones are usually at Dorothy Lane market. So the birthday celebration continues a d we havenât even had his pizza yet.

Liz, thanks for the start. Glad you enjoyed the lunch, but sorry about the after effects. I wonder if any of the other women had a reaction to the food. It sounds like it could have been some kind of food poisoning. I'm always amazed at how your temperatures just change so suddenly. Ours do this very slow, gradual trend of going lower. Nestor brought warmer weather though, so it's almost back to summer for us. A weak cool front is coming and our high Wednesday is supposed to be only 83. Then it goes right back up the next day. No, we're not anywhere near ready for the party, lol. There are a lot of things that need to be done a day or two before so that things will be fresh, so it's going to be a mad frenzy next week. I'll be glad when it's over and we can relax again!
Chele, I'm chuckling at the Bungles. Here we have the Tampa Bay Yucs. When they started out they were so bad, fans used to wear paper bags on their heads. I hope that guy doesn't have to stay on his roof too long. It'll get cold up there! Speaking of fumbles, I saw TN fumble at the goal line this weekend and Alabama ran it 100 yards back for a touchdown. Ouch! Yay on just getting an oil change. Iggy deserves a birthday celebration week, so hope he enjoys the treats.
Waving to Karen, Linda, and Becky.

Thanks for the start, Liz. Hope PT goes well this afternoon. I'm a bit amazed that St. Crazy is dragging its feet on final approval for the telecommute. But with your boss's family situation, I guess things can't get approved if he doesn't get the ball rolling. Sorry about the work nightmares; but, given that several of us retired folks still have them from time to time, it's understandable. At least you have a bit more time to yourself, however, until you have to deal with work issues for real. Sorry you had a rainy Sunday, but that probably made it a good day to stay in and chill with the pups. Is this coming weekend when you visit SM for her birthday? The food at Saturday's get together sounds really good. It sounds like something didn't agree with you, however. Unfortunate. I would especially like the pomegranate and apple torte and may have to go online to search for a recipe. That was a long time for you to be at the gathering and I can fully understand your being stiff after all that sitting. Sometimes after I sit for more than half an hour, it takes me a while to get going. The hike did go well on Friday, as did the neighorhood one this morning. I keep hoping the knees will start to feel better but not happening so far.
Chele, yes, Michigan lost AGAIN. Not our best season for sure and probably Harbaugh's worst in his 5 years there. We do seem to have more than our share of Raynaud's in my family. In fact my cousin on my dad's side who is my age also has it. Don't know if hers is primary or secondary. So it's on both sides of the family. I can relate to your Yankee hatred. It was the same for me with all the Ohio State fans when I lived in Toledo. The princess has no clue she's going to the vet on Wednesday and even if I told her, she would just give me a blank stare. She does look pretty and clean. Dale said she needs bows but I keep telling him she's not a bow kind of girl. I plan to fly when I go to DB/DSIL's because I hate driving 8-9 hours solo, which I've done on numerous occasions. I enjoy being able to stop where I want when I want on the way but don't like all the endless driving. I didn't realize the Browns had gotten better and the Bengals had gotten worse. I hope that restaurant owner has a good group of employees taking care of his business while he's sitting on the roof. Congrats on your vehicle getting a clean bill of health. Enjoy the sushi, etc. Spread out that BD celebration as long as you can.
You're going to freeze if it only gets to 83 on Wednesday, Kathy. You'll probably still have the humidity, however. Poor TB. They didn't look that bad when I saw them play the Panthers last weekend in London. Maybe the Panthers were just playing that badly and I didn't realize it. I'm glad I missed that TN fumble followed by the Bama TD run. I had hoped to see the rest of the TX game that we couldn't stay up for Saturday, but it seems every game but that one is being rebroadcast today. Even the FSU-Wake game.
Laundry continues today. 3rd load is in the washer. I did a 2.5 mile hike, did some stuff around the house, have beans in the IP for Dale, and have scrambled tofu marinating for breakfast tomorrow. All my stuff is in the car for the meeting tonight, and all of that has taken me most of the day. I hope the meeting tonight won't be a long one. We are supposed to be getting rain this evening and I would love to get home before it starts.
Waving to Becky and Linda.

Karen, it's time to break out the sweaters and blankets, lol. You're right about the humidity, so it will probably feel more like 87. TB is 2-2, so I don't think people are breaking out the paper bags yet. The two that they lost were fairly close, so there is still hope for the season. I was always more of a Dolfan, but at 0-4, they do seem hopeless. Even my DM has given up on them. I think I'll pass on watching the FSU-Wake game. Safe travels and hope the rain holds off until you get home.

Thanks for the start Liz.The cool front came through about 3:30 this morning bringing with it 1" of rain. It's a lovely 77 degrees at 5:00.It has been a beautiful day in the neighborhood.I'm glad you enjoyed the ladies lunch but am sorry it didn't agree with you.I hope PT helped.I'm sorry about the bad news for your boss's wife.
Chele A cool breeze did make it here. It's a start anyway.I'm glad they didn't find anything wrong with your car.Enjoy your sushi.I'm not a big fan of black grapes.I like red grapes better because they don't taste as sweet as green grapes.
Karen LOL on the princess.
The tornado in Dallas was bad. There was a tornado warning in Central TX but no confirmed touchdown.
Waves to Kathy and Linda.
