TRACKIN' TUESDAY... Who am I kidding - the tracker probably won't come out of my bag all day - again! I just can't get back "into it" these days! UGH!
Move it Monday didn't MOVE as planned... but on the bright side - my foot is not in as much pain, and I think I am sleeping a little better!
OH and Tracy has been offered a new job! YAY! Not with the State Police Dispatch but with another (fairly) local town dispatch. Now to weigh the differences/pros/cons of less money, cheaper insurance, better insurance, better schedule... but not looking to buy a house until she can figure out her "new" finances... I think she will take it - but there is a part of her that is "scared" at "change"! I am all for it! I know - it means she will be here a while longer... might have to set some new ground rules - but in the long run I think it would be better for her... her health - her habits - in general better for her?!? But not up to me... so... when she gets home today - we will discuss over dinner! She is also thinking that with the schedule change - she'd be more help to Matthew (if he needs it) - but I won't let that be a reason for her to take a new job! Anyway - something "positive" to think about today!
Meanwhile - work is..... WORK... I did get 5 days of Settlement caught up yesterday! So if today goes just as well - I can get the other 6 done and be CAUGHT UP! That's my goal then tomorrow and Thursday I won't need anyone's help - and we can all get back to "normal" except my "refreshing" Deb & Crystal on Debbie's stuff!
So - all in all - I guess it was a good day... oh, except I emailed Ken's brothers and sisters - to tell them about Matthew... since Tracy was going to be seeing some of them last night... I didn't want it to be on her to tell - or not to tell... interesting that only 1 sister replies - then the other 2 sisters-in-law... NO RESPONSE from the other Sister or either brother!! Trying NOT to take it personally - but seriously?? OH and the sister Debbie - is Matt's Godmother! HA! So much for that, huh???
OK Let me refill my coffee and get caught up here... want to get an earlier start than yesterday - yesterday morning I sat too long, then was running late! LOL

Sue: LOL That's how I felt yesterday!! Just could NOT get motivated!! Hope yours didn't last too long!
Gabrielle: UGH So much driving/traveling for you {{{hugs}}} You fly to DC on Wednesday right?? Enjoy your LONG weekend ahead!! Please tell me you do NOT have to take "work-work" with you! Glad your Supt talked with you on the drive... and hopefully your all-day-meeting had several "breaks" so you could MOVE IT a little! So today is 1/2 day - then the drive home... hoping you go straight HOME - and not in to the office!!
Thank you... I am trying to push him towards a 2nd opinion... not so much that I don't trust the local hospital - but more to see that another hospital would do the same thing! My friend/coworker, Paula did just that. She went to Boston - where they told her the local oncology department was doing the exact thing they would do - so she was comfortable staying more local... I know he is researching locations/doctors that deal with "heavy" men in this situation... I hate to ask too many questions - but then again I do not like being in the dark! Thank you for your honesty and your opinion...
Oh I know, once I "get there" it will be fine and fun... I just feel "awkward" with new people! I am sure jeans will be fine - not too many places have a dress code anymore... LOL If they do they won't be very busy these days!
Sue: I always choose the special X-Ray thing they can do for pics of my eyes... instead of the dilation... thank goodness I do! I have a long drive home after my appointments... hope you are good as new today!
Shelly: WOW What a weekend you had! I'd be exhausted!! YAY for an upcoming weekend away! Hey, good for Keeley wanting to try again! Fingers crossed she does better this year - and WOW wouldn't it be nice to be heading to FL to watch her compete there!??!??
OUCH - Sorry for the dental issues... thank goodness it is fixed now! YAY for your morning WO!!
This is our trip to Washington, DC... yeah, sort of a BD trip - but mostly we are "invading" Gabrielle's trip for her marathon in DC this weekend! LOL We are also meeting up with Lise - another WW board gal - who has not been on the boards for a while - but we "keep up" on FB. She lives in the DC/VA area... We will all meet for dinner Friday - then Saturday we have the day to EXPLORE the city!! Oh and Tracy wants to go to Arlington cemetery... so we may do that later Saturday afternoon - or Sunday morning before heading home. We actually have a hotel in Arlington - just over the river from DC... so dinner near the pentagon and a trip to the cemetery are both right nearby our hotel!
Yes, I need to think about HSA vs FSA for my medical - we do have the Flex, but that's the use it or lose it! I WISH my employer would pay into my FSA! Nice perk for you! I may need to up my HSA this year instead of my 401k when I get my raise this month! Yeah - our FSA is pretty much gone - with meds, and some co-pays, and a few of my PT appointments earlier in the year.
Thank you - I hadn't thought of the Thieves for Matthew! Is it safe around young kids and pets?? I mean as diffuser... I know I see a lot of concerns about different oils being used around babies... wondering how they affect a 3 year old??

OK Need to get moving... supposed to be chilly - rainy - ugly this afternoon/evening... so need to figure out what to wear - and get myself moving earlier today! I did get a 9 hour day in yesterday... but my goal is to not use the whole 8 hours vacation day this Friday, so I can save a few hours to use in December... to make my 2 days into 3! HA! Hoping Debbie is back by then! I also still have my Thanksgiving week (Monday - Thursday) off for pies and holiday - so I have nothing to "complain" about... my bigger "fear" is she not be back over Veteran's Day week - when Kaitlin is on vacation! EEeekkkk, if they are BOTH out - I am totally gonna lose it!!
Anyway... TRACKIN' TUESDAY... maybe I WILL get my journal out on my break today... just walk away... maybe... ♥hugs♥

Good Morning ~ enjoying my quiet morning here - rain started last night and temps have cooled down (we hit 74 yesterday) but looks to be a typical Fall day.
I didn't get here yesterday - but did get a chance to read -
Carole - sounds like you had a nice peaceful weekend. Just what you needed! Good job making some progress with work yesterday too. I am SO far behind it's ridiculous! How is Matthew doing with comprehending his diagnosis? And DDIL? I am sure what ever you choose to wear to dinner Friday will be just fine!! It's the company and some of us are so jealous you get this opportunity to meet Gabrielle AGAIN and our Lise! Lise cracks me up with her FB posts!! Hey, and she's striving forward with her cancer recovery plus MS shennanigans - you have got to get a Picture of you Girls together! It'll be fun...
Gabrielle - hopefully today you can catch glimpses of Sonoma as you drive away! lol Sorry for the timing of it - but you are right, we are so often in great cities but not able to even look out the windows due to busy schedules of trainings or conferences! How are you holding up? The pruning job was a lot more involved then I thought but I think I did a fairly decent job. DD23 is disappointed, she thinks it looks awful but then, she's a kid, so what does she know? lol DH is eagerly waiting for Spring to yank it out as he's so sure I killed it. Love my family, really...
Sue - hopefully this week feels a bit more normal routine for you from all the travels and 'have to do's of last few weeks. I think you guys got far more rain than we did - will Jason be able to pull the potatoes after all? Need to ask, does he do all that by hand or is there a machine that can help with such a big project?
Shelly - thankful you got into the Dentist yesterday - my last few dentist visits resulted in replacing old fillings before they fell out - DH has awful teeth and just refuses refuses to make time even for a cleaning. He's afraid of what else they'll find. Hmm? So much for preventive care lol Glad you made it to DGD's birthday - and had the kids over for a bit - How exciting for Keeley to be preparing for another competition season and yes, fingers crossed younger one does well her first time out! I remember those days...
Need to get moving ...
Queen Bee at work (newer Dean of Students) is making trouble - she is loudly complaining that I'm not staying until 6:00 pm like the others - well, I DID stay late all of September which put me WAY behind - so no, I'm not in direct child care but I am trying to get work done from my office 3:30 - 5:30 - I told the Prince. He gets it but he did quietly ask I 'donate' one evening next week to staying until 6:00 which is doable, I can see, but still, grrrr to jealousy of others and total lack of understanding. Listen, I work hard ALL day long - unlike Queen Bee and Barbie who sit around complaining how busy they are as they eat Panera Bread take out - while I'm missing any down time for a lunch - almonds are my go to - The light is at the end of tunnel!! Hooray - this time next week should feel more normal -

Good morning! Trying to type quickly here as I face the same hair drying by itself issue as usual. I know that I am sending out emails to units with employees over 700 hours on their way to 900 max. as a warning.
Carole-thanks for staring us! must been a good day for job offers - Joe got a call and should be getting an official offer for a permanent job at University today. It is with health and safety and he would be driving a 26 foot truck around campus collecting nuclear and radioactive waste. A CDL isn't required so I hope he can do it, salary isn't great but comes with benefits. So Tracy will have to weigh her options but great to have options! I will move it today deep cleaning bathrooms this afternoon - it is time :-(
Christine-I love your names for your dear co-workers! Well glad the Prince is giving you credit where credit is due for a change. Hang in there!
Shelly-glad you could get into your dentist. Tooth pain is one of the worst kinds of pain I think.
Gabrielle-Sorry you don't get to enjoy the wine area, you are definitely a traveling woman these days! But I think that might be fun, or at least sometimes.
Sue-I still need to get my flu shot. Will be back to read updates on your DM.
Our power has been shut off about 5 a.m. for a brief time the last 2 days. I wish they would just fix what they need to - probably not good on computer and appliances. And also not good on alarm clocks...
10 degrees colder than yesterday morning they say, but the office was a furnace till they opened doors and windows that's how toasty it was so I'm not sure what to wear?!? I will be in the toasty part this morning.
Gotta get going - we decided to eat out tonight but didn't decide what or where. I know what Greg means by the time the evening rolls around what sounds good now may not then.
Waving to ATF and BBL!

Good morning!
I am SO happy to be home later today and have food that I fix! I realized last night that I am actually missing home cooked food--the food at the places I have been is good and actually pretty healthy but not the same as home (you know what I mean?) Checked in for our flight to DC tomorrow--leaves at 6:35 am which means we have to leave our house by 4:00 am. I am SO glad that DH and our friends will be with me--so much more fun!
Carole: What great news for Tracy! It is a great thing to have choices. As the mom, I know that you have to be "diplomatic" and let her make the choice. I am sure that she appreciates being able to talk it through with you. I find that our kids around Tracy's age really do consider "quality of life" when making decisions like this--a good thing. So, maybe tracking isn't the best goal for you right now? You have a lot on your plate! Maybe journaling and writing down what you eat but not counting/calculating, etc.? Just want you to feel good and take care of you with all of this going on. SO excited to see you on Friday!!!!
Sue; Hope that your week is going well and that you have another calm weekend in your future?
Christine: Uggh to Queen Bee and those people who always are seeking what they think is "FAIR" ...the truth is, it will never be "Fair" in their eyes. You could find 1000 things to show that you are doing more than your "fair" share. So frustrating. Glad that the Prince is assuming a bit of a supportive role in this case (hope that he keeps that strong front). LOL about the bushes...so many times the pruning looks so much worse than it is. I am routing for you and the bushes to come back looking beautiful!
Lisa: Loved the wedding pics that you posted! Such a beautiful place and wonderful memories for you. Glad to hear that Joe had a new job possibility too....hope that you have a good day.
Shelly: So sorry about the dental issues....did he tell you not to use the water pik anymore? Must be a tough spot for a filling...just glad that you could get it! How fun to be heading for the dance competition! Wouldn't that be great if she qualifies for DW? Sounds like a really competitive process--great practice for her!
Okay, gotta go and check out and finish packing. On to another busy day. Have a good one, ladies!

Evening all...it's a soggy mess out there....thankfully not too cold but still damp and raw! Glad I have no where to go tonight! Time to catch up a bit....
Lisa....saw the wedding pix on FB...beautiful bride! The pictures turned out great!
Carole....thanks for getting us "moving" on Monday! I got 11k steps yesterday...was back and forth in the building for who knows what reason but I had almost 4k by 10:00 am....YES, you can just get up and walk a loop....JUST DO IT!! Ah yes, there is lots of walking in DC....
I left work at 4:15 for my eye doctor appointment..I knew my prescription needed to be "tweaked" because I've been having issues with my computer screens. Well, my eyes actually improved. According to the doctor, it's not uncommon for people who have worn glasses since childhood to have their distance vision plateau for a long time as an adult, then in their 50's to have it start to improve! Because I wear progressives it also effects the other distances...I have probably compensated by moving my head and looking through the lens differently so then have trouble finding the right spot for the computer....by changing the distance now everything will be "back to normal"! Should have them in a couple weeks!
Carole...glad your Saturday was fairly simple, mine was and I truly needed it! Yes, mine was simple but productive as well!
OK...here is the deal with the Flexible Spending...our old insurance prior to being bought out had a deductible, prescription costs, and other things that added up to approx $2200....I adjust my FSA account each year according to what I will need to pay out of pocket....dental are 100% covered for 2 cleanings per year and the normal X-rays but if we needed a filling or something we had to pay 50% out of pocket. We each had prescriptions and a couple of mine cost about $100 every 3 months so I figured approximately what the out of pocket would be and divided by 26 paychecks. Now with our new insurance I don't put that much in the FSA account. We do have a $500 rollover now so if I calculate a little high it's OK. The nice thing about the FSA is you just use the card to pay the deductible...even if you spend ALL of it in January you have it from 1/1 on.....you just keep adding to it over the course of the year and it doesn't have to hit the CC. When I had my TKR in February this last time....I used it all in February but it didn't have to go on CC because my payroll deductions all year just kept adding up so it was all covered. Only time you have to "pay it back" is if you use it all early in the year and then leave during the year and don't make all the contributions! Make sense. Now I only put about $35 every 2 weeks in it....yesterday I used the card and it paid everything and did not "hurt" our wallet! I will say...if I had the option of an HSA instead, I would definitely use that instead....that is NOT a use or lose!
Carole...get a hold of Sarah or have Tracy get a hold of her....she will help you with some oil blends and options to help boost Matt's immune system and keep germs for everyone at bay! I know I avoided Rowan and Jason's germs the last couple weeks....Thieves is an awesome oil for immune support but I know there are more that could be added....you must be diligent and proactive but as skeptical I was about oils being "voo doo"....the more research and trials I do on my own the more I think the "settlers and early Americans" knew their stuff! I have started my Thieves/Lemon tea every few days now as the germs start to emerge at work! I made it through last year w/o a cold....was it a fluke??? Who knows but I'm being proactive this year and so far...so good! Yes, you might need to keep Zoe at your house a bit more....don't want Matt to be exposed to more than he needs to be....chemo will really know the "wind out of his sails" and his immune system!
I so hope that Matt will realize quickest might not be the best option...he needs to go where they are most capable of handling any additional factors he has..... OMG Carole, don't get me started on insurance the the "racket" it is.....it makes me so angry when you have to plan your life and health around when it is most convenient for your insurance coverage. That's why I let my 2nd TKR go so long....I needed it all in the same calendar year....if I had it in November, the 1st available appointment I would have had some PT in the next year and would have had to start with a new deductible and out of pocket....NO THANK YOU!
OMG...Jason won't stop talking!

Evening..... oh or was so slow today and I should’ve got more done than I did but lacking motivation for sure. Well I was a little pre occupied too. So the girl I signed up under on my makeup jumped ship and is going with another company. I hope it works out for her but she does live videos and then she posted another video later and it definitely didn’t seem to have the same staying power but she is bashing SeneGence so bad because this other company is so much cheaper. I’m afraid I will lose customers because we live in a small town and we know the same ppl. She kept on and in about the price difference. The other thing about it is it is based out of Istanbul Turkey and SeneGence is out of California. The founder is actually from Oklahoma. I guess we shall see how it goes.
Carole oh yes I forgot about you meeting up with Gabrielle. That will be fun and so glad you also get to meet up with Lisa. Have a great time. Well I’m hoping the weather forecast changes for my trip because there is a chance of snow!!!! I hope they are wrong.
Britain’s sorry you are having issues with QBee. How does she not see you do your time there and work harder than anyone else. Hope she leave you alone.
Lisa saw the wedding pics on FB. They were really nice. Yes for luck and so glad the tooth is fixed. Now hope it Stays put better
Gabrielle good luck with your up Coming marathon. You will do good. Enjoy your visit with Carole. Safe travels!!! Oh no dentist said to keep using water pic. Just bad luck that it must’ve gotten loose. Kinda makes me nervous tho.
Sue so I like the HSA because like you said as long as you have money on it your medical bill don’t hurt your wallet. I’ve never had the FSA but am happy with HSA. Has helped me out because it’s taken right out of my paycheck and I never miss the money.
Ok WO in the morn and I’m about to fall asleep so better go to bed. See you all tomorrow.
