Welcome to the CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend still least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning,,
All day rain expected today. Laundry on my todo list today.
Ruth - I canât even begin to imagine the frustration Carol is going through. Prayers continue.
Dottie - we have a âNot Soâ Quick Lane in our service area too. An hour is considered quick, weâve had people wait for 2 hours for a simple oil change. They arenât short staffed anymore, just slow. It just aggravates customers. I donât understand it, but no one does anything about it.
Cutting up veggies for minestrone soup. Will toss in crockpot before I head to work.
See ya tomorrow

Joyce, that is funny how you described your âNot Soâ Quik Lane. That is how I felt about yesterday and how long it took for the oil change. Enjoy your minestrone soup. We are supposed to get rain starting just before rush hour, that was always fun to drive home in from work.
Ruth, Iâm sorry that Carol is having to go thru all those problems. They probably didnât feed her till they decided on if she needed emergency surgery. It is dangerous for the patient to have food in their stomach during surgery. But that is no excuse for not starting an IV for her so she wouldnât dehydrate. Hope she is doing better. Any news on DSs car? Hope they were able to help Stan with his stiff neck.
I still havenât put my kitchen back together after Bill fixed the leak. I want to make sure everything is okay before putting things away. I did paint the area under the sink, so that looks much brighter. I went to DMV this morning to drop off the license plate from the trailer. It took less than ½ hour and now I have to drop off some paperwork to the town and then that will be all done. I have to get to town hall before we leave for our trip because I need to get our absentee ballots, there is a town wide election while we are gone, so I can do both things at the same time.

Good Afternoon:
Had to use the desktop to help DSD look up AARP car rental rates and thought that I'd stop by and say HELLO to you before I signed off. DSD and DSS were over yesterday for lunch and to look at a few things in the garage that Mason (the car guy) has mentioned he like to buy. DSD ended up taking two of the items home for her DH to look at....I'm not sure if she is buying them or ??. They also looked at the guns again taking pics and SN info. I've been slowing pitching little things here and there, adding items to the donation box, passing things down to friends and the steps. It's not making a huge difference but movement in the right direction. The kitchen, LR, bathrooms, & master bedroom are in okay shape...it's this tiny office, the barn/garage, and the walk in closet/storage room that need a determined energy/attitude to sort through and declutter. With colder weather moving in Thursday and staying into next week, I will try to spend time in the walk in closet and switch spaces with summer & winter clothes. At that time, I give a stink eye to items that don't fit or I don't really like, etc and set them free. DSD and DSS are both going to Dallas to visit their brother early in Nov. and the TX DSS's daughter wears about the same size (maybe larger) than I do, so I may box up a few items to pass down to her or she can give to her larger friends. It might not be a bad idea to get their Christmas shopping done and have them take it with them, too. Save on shipping and I can be sure it arrives. Fed EX and USPS have not been very dependable for me when I've shipped to TX over the past couple of years. Christmas Shopping will be downsized this year! I think I shopped and wrapped gifts for over 40 people last year. That number and the cost and time spent will be lower in 2019. Not much going on here. I try to keep busy reading but just don't have much zip to much else. When I do feel like an "adventure", no one is available to do it with me. I'm usually the one that has to come up with the ideas and do the planning. My neighbor did give me 2 tickets to see ESCAPE to MARGARITAVILLE for last Saturday night. I went with my DF from the MO WW group that lives near me. That was a fun show - predictable but fun. I wish you all well. Take care.

Good very late evening. Didnât realize I hadnât been on earlier. Still working on those bags of laundry for DS/DIL so thatâs keeping me busy. Mara was awake again from 12:20 to 1:00 am so I was too. Rocked her to sleep and got her back in bed and she slept until about 8:15. Me too!!!
I got the free toddler bed we picked up on the curb on Sunday cleaned up and assembled and we dropped it off with Mara. They took her crib down (a mistake I think) before seeing how she does in the toddler bed. They say she either crawled out the other day or fell out of the crib and so into the toddler bed. Sounded like it could be interesting tonight. Told him they could put the pack ân play up and put her in it. We had to do that with our younger DD since we gave the crib to DS Carol for her oldest and our DD was maybe 21 mo. Old.
Dottie, Carol wouldnât really have âfoodâ as we think of it in her stomach. She gets a liquid nutrition and I donât believe she can aspirate it into her lungs due to not having a working esophagus or throat. But I could be wrong. She was finally supposed to get nutrition last night. I asked today if they had a plan and she said itâs complicated and sheâd tell me more tomorrow since I was busy tonight.
We went to the Wild game tonight and they actually won 3-0! We may have lost our goalie for a while tho to a possible concussion. Not pretty!
DS was informed this morning that the car is being totaled. Heâs to find out tomorrow how much they are getting for it. Not sure how long they have the rental but as of next Monday one car wonât be an issue for 6 weeks. Gives them some time to look. And DH is getting their 3rd car up and running, possibly to sell to add those $$ to the car shopping. If DH doesnât get to it, it wonât get done!
Stan said the dr thought it was arthritis in his neck. Told him to try heat or ice. And said she could recommend therapy, which I think would be a good idea. Heâs not convinced.
Ok. Going to bed shortly. More tomorrow. I have a dental cleaning and then we may go get our flu shots. See where I am on their shingles shot list too. Going to Target to get shots since we get $5 if we do it.
