How do you build a habit, change something?

I start small and work on it with baby steps. I've got to take things one step at a time and go from there. As for changes first the hard part is me realizing that I do have to do something to change. Then again I identify a starting point and do baby steps. The small steps are important because I don't always have fire and motivation to change.

Some were easier than others: like drinking enough water
Some are harder: like exercise and staying OP
I am not sure how...think you just have to do it one day and repeat the next until it is a habit. Perhaps link it to something tangible/a reminder

I knew all the right things to do. CBT was the final piece that I needed to establish good habits. Also getting older has helped. I just don't have the energy for all the drama that I used to have in my life. My main focus is to be more thoughtful and less reactive. Doesn't always work in the moment, but eventually I get there.

I find that it's less difficult to change habits when I connect with others who are in the same situation. I get lots of ideas and support from others who understand. cathygeha, I totally agree.

I wish I could learn to start small bbbearsmom,. I always seem to want to change everything at once. I can't wait to do this next BBR. I'm hoping that I can learn something new. Giving up is not an option.
