Happy Hump Day!
Iggy has an overnight trip tomorrow to Indianapolis and after he gets back into town on Friday he has a dinner he has to go to. I will not have to cook for two days! Tonight I am making salmon and crab patties with cucumber dill salad and oven fries. That should not upset his stomach. I went to the other Kroger today. It is a lot bigger than neighborhood Kroger yet they have less cashiers. It is a beautiful autumn day and I am in long pants and a sweatshirt. It is the kind of day I dream about during sweltering summers and frigid winters, cool, crisp and sunny. The leaves are starting to change colors and the wind sends the leaves skittering across the road. I love that sound. This year we donāt have to bag our leaves. Once in November and once in January, a truck will come around a d vacuum the leaves that have been blown along the curb. My back is happy to hear that.
Karen, the French cookbook has been translated tk English. I couldnāt find a French copy. How is the leg today? It was probably wise to workout at home just in case. Nice that you found someone who will be good at the newsletter and wants to do it. Mayne once you donāt have the secretarial duties along with the newsletter, the presidency wonāt take more of your time. I have only gotten one VM in Chinese bit plenty of SS and IRS scamming VM. The baked cider donuts sound better with the lesser amount of butter. 9-1-1 got interesting with fight club.
Liz, how is the PT going? I hope the bossā wife is doing okay. Did he approve the telecommute? I hope your weather is as good as ours is. I hope Gary and the pups are well. When is the visit to SM and DS?
Kathy, I donāt believe the do not call registry is working at all. I have received phone calls with caller ID āScam likely.ā I like that one. I wish we would get some of your rain.
Linda, I like your short hair but then again I am partial to short hair. I donāt think it makes you look old at all. It brightens your face, IMO.
Becky, the headache persisted until bedtime but I woke up without it. Yay! I am glad your weather is cooling off. Wow. 6 tornadoes is a lot. I hope that is the end of them.
Well, it is salad time, so have a good Wednesday.

Good afternoon chicks and thanks for the start Chele.
Chele - I'm sorry that headache persisted for so long. I hope you're feeling much better today. As i am not familiar with cookbooks other than Better Homes and Gardens, Julia Childs and Betty Crocker: the two you bought Iggy sound amazing. We are having a very nice autumn day today after a nasty, chilly and rainy day yesterday. The upside of that was i drove to the mall up north and walked and bought SM her BD gifts. It was amazing to me how much of a ghost town it was with an empty anchor store space and several others. i guess is really shouldn't have surprised me with the online shopping and demise of brick and mortar stores. I went there since Macy's is still open and my DS said there was a mall near SM's apartment if she needs to return. PT is going well, I was pretty tuckered out on Monday after. The tech has introduced new exercises with additional strength and light ankle weights to help build the muscles around the hip. I loved your description of your "fall" day, it definitely brought a smile to my face.
Karen - most importantly how is the leg feeling? Is it the whole leg? Sharp or dull pain? Did the TENS help? Good news on having someone to do the newsletter who is excited to do so aqnd can hopefully bring their own perspective as well. Congrats? on taking the president's position. I have no doubt you will be terrific and send wishes that it will not occupy too much of your spare time. How did the vet appointment go with Arya? Thankfully both Zoe and Wally are good in the car, the vet is local and they both love him and his techs. The boss took off until tomorrow apparently which is completely understandable. What I don't get is i sent the forms to the HR person and VP since he is out and the HR person said once my director or VP signs them she can submit. The VP hasn't done that and that's very frustrating to me. We will travel this Sat. to SM's to see the apartment and take her to an early dinner.
Linda - love the new picture and think you look great. YAY on the reduced eye drops for DH. Nice that you were able to snuggle in bed with the pup and a cup of coffee. Did you get the D-Earth put out around the house as you had mentioned previously?
Becky - thankful that those tornadoes weren't near you! You truly have had some erratic weather but then again we have seen this happen all over the nation unfortunately. Any further news on the new WW program? How are Kenneth and the fur babies doing?
Kathy - I completely understand those last minute things that need to get done for a party like that. It will be challenging without a doubt! How has your week been so far? I have PT in about 45 minutes so I'm sure I will be working hard and fatigued afterward. The PT tech told me I am on target and doing well. I was feeling a bit uncertain with how tired I get but he said that is to be expected with the increase in exercises and walking.
I hope you all have a good remainder of the day! Be safe and ciao for now dear ladies~

Thanks for the start, Chele, and Happy Hump Day to All. I love your description of fall in your neighborhood. YAY on not having to bag your leaves this year. I just hope you won't have a wind storm the day before the vacuum truck comes that blows them all back into the yard. Dinner sounds good, and yay for no cooking for a couple of days. Too bad you couldn't find the original French cookbook. But then Iggy probably doesn't read French, does he? I got another Chinese VM a little while ago, but just one so far today. Maybe the algorithm has something programmed in that if they call half a dozen times with no success, they move on. I did go online to see if there was a way to block an area code, since they were all 404, and there is not. BTW, there were over 31 billion robocalls in 2018 and an estimated 25% of them are scams. That's a lot of dishonest people. The donuts turned out pretty well and I'll most likely make them again.
Becky, have you heard from your relatives in north Texas? Is all okay with them? Has your weather cooled any?
Any news on DN's internship status, Kathy? Are you having fall (for Florida) weather now? If so, are you walking the neighborhood yet?
Liz, I'm surprised the VP hasn't approved your telecommute. It's not like he couldn't call your boss quickly to make sure it was okay with him. But I guess that should give you the rest of the week to yourself. Their loss. Glad that you got some walking and shopping done yesterday. How long is the drive to SM's? I hope it won't be too hard on your healing hip. A lot of malls and shopping centers are very sad these days for the reason you noted. It amazes me that there are new shopping centers going in despite there being plenty of open retail space in the same general area. PT can really wear you out. Leg is doing some better. It was more of a dull discomfort. The TENS unit helped and I put on some K-Tape for overnight and it seemed to help. It just feels kind of tired now but I did 30 (rather slow) minutes on the treadmill earlier this afternoon. Vet appointment went better than anticipated. She did fight us getting in the car, but got out of the car when we got there and walked on her own into the building, then walked out and got in the car with a little assistance to get that tush up onto the seat. She did whine and moan all the way there but was fine coming home. She was very good with the vet, who is a sweet lady who also knew Phoebe well. She took her shots like a trooper but has been a mama's girl since we got home and is happily snoozing next to me right now. We may start taking her on short rides to see if we can get her more used to the car. I'm excited about losing the newsletter responsibilities. I think she was ready to start immediately, but I told her let's shoot for January because I already have a good start on November's and we don't publish in December. I don't see a big problem with taking on the presidency. It's not like I haven't been president of organizations in the past and there is all the leadership experience I had in my work life.
Was today a museum day, Linda? Yay on the decrease in eye drops. I know you'll be elated to get the last ones in a few weeks from now. How is Bob doing? Have Micki's allergies faded?
After we got home from the vet, Dale went to the pool and I cooked ground turkey for Arya. Dale stopped at Papa Murphy's on the way home, so I'll be baking pizza for dinner. I have specific instructions on baking their pizzas in my oven but can't find them on the new computer. I'm not sure why it wouldn't have transferred over. It could be that the notes I put in to the pdf aren't showing up on the document on the new computer, so I hope I can get the old one to turn on so I can print it out. If not, I guess I'll go by memory, which may or may not work out as well as I would like.

Thanks for the start Chele.Has Iggy ever gotten a diagnosis for what's wrong with his stomach?I am in long pants but not a sweatshirt. It's 84 right now but our low was in the high 40's.I'm glad your headache is gone.
Liz I'm glad you were able to go to the mall and that PT is helping. The new WW program will come out the week on Nov 10.They are keeping freestyle but adding 2 other programs. There are youtube videos from people who supposedly know the details but it's still not official.Kenneth and the fur babies are fine.
Karen All my Chinese VM's are from different area codes. Some are even from 512 which of course is our area code.None of my relatives said they had any bad weather in North TX.So I guess they are fine.We have cooler mornings and warm and beautiful afternoons. It's up to 84 now but expecting another cool front tomorrow night into Friday.I'm glad Arya did well.
Linda I love your hair.Even though you think it's short it's still a little longer than mine.I'm trying to let mine grow out at least until it gets hot again.
