THINK IT THROUGH Thursday... no matter what it is... THINK IT THROUGH! I have been up since 3... "thinking"... gonna be a long day! They are anyway, the days long, but today ought to be a real challenge! Crystal wants me to "back burner" the ATM Settlement (again)! Say WHAT! Seriously?? Just let it get more and more unbalanced and behind??? Whatever - she's the boss! I am after all - just the person who has to DO IT to get it CAUGHT UP at some point... I don't know, I am just frustrated right now - with a LOT of things!! SO today I go back to doing my own work - helping Deb with Debbie's ACH stuff, I will get a couple of other things off my plate - then I am DONE! I may not even make it to the end of the day today... Just.Don't.Care.! OK Enough of that - let me catch up then I will try to catch you up on Matthew ♥

Sue: OH I feel your pain! LOL I "hate" when Tracy and or Ken decide it's time to talk while I am on the computer!! OY VEY! Hope the sweet potatoes kept him busy for ya' last night!
Well the wheels are in motion for Matt... more info later.
How long are you without your garage? Does it take days/weeks??
I may need to buy Thieves in BULK! I took my spray bottle of Thieves Cleaner into work yesterday - and my lunch break was spent cleaning my space!! I enjoy the scent as well!
Lisa: Uh Oh.. hoping it was just a trace of fabric softener or something on the shirt! Thanks -I do know this stuff with Matt is part of my lack of motivation! HA! Not sure meeting up with me this week will be all it's cracked up to be! My moods are pretty "up and down" right now!
WOW Sounds like a lot going on for moving files! Good for you offering to work "extra"!
Sue: YAY for a busy and productive day with no fires to put out!
I need to figure out a Thieves Roller... I always struggle to get the right mix of oils with carrier oil to make it work!
Oh dear... I so hope Jim & Annie can "stick it out" with DM and get her off those drugs and onto a better lifestyle! Sorry Kris hasn't changed her tune yet... but at least DM is out of her "Clutches"!
Lisa: YAY for added hours Friday - hoping it gets all done soon.
Shelly: YAY! For feeling GOOD getting your WO done!! WOO HOO! Hey a WO of any kind is better than doing nothing - and you my friend have made it a habit for yourself now! SO PROUD OF YOU!! Thanks - yes this will be better for Tracy... she is excited - but with everything else going on, I think she feels guilty being happy and excited!
Oh yes, I still do an allergy blend a LOT for sleeping... Tracy too... hope you had what you needed!

SO... sorry to start the day on a depressing note... I am just not sure what to "make" of Matt's appointment yesterday! I won't share the whole email - but here are the "highlights"It seems like there is some question about it spreading to my lymph-nodes, and we won't know until the next test but she did say my symptoms don't usually show until it is thicker (meaning a higher stage).HOW does the oncologist think it is "localized" and "appears not to have spread" then the surgeon says this???She's going to compare schedules with a colleague and see which one of them can do the ultrasound first. She will also schedule to put the line in to receive the chemo (if she can do the ultrasound then they can do them both at once). Chemo can start any time after that is installed.OK This Sh!t is getting real now folks!! Sorry - I knew they were discussing chemo but until he said "put the line in" I don't think it truly HIT me!
She also mentioned that I might want to go to a bigger facility for treatment. So I'm going to discuss that with my Oncologist, she referred me to the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in NYC. They might be able to provide better treatment options for me.
So - I may be taking time off to head to NYC! I'd go today if it worked that way!
Matt, Patti, Kathy & Zoë are also headed out of town this weekend... they want to go to the Mystic Aquarium one more time - before their annual pass expires... I hope he can just go and enjoy the time away! If it's on my mind this much I can't even imagine what he & Patti are dealing with day to day.
So - now you know why I was up so early... I am not overly optimistic with this visit to the surgeon. I'd prefer he be referred to MA Gen or Dana Farber - but if she thinks NYC is the way to go - then I guess we go! At least it's not Cancer Center of America where the closest place is Philly!
I guess by them saying localized and not spread - I was to hopeful and sure that he could beat it if he tried... now I am feeling so unsure of what to think and how to ask questions... I did tell him that even though I have never driven to NYC/Manhattan - I can if we have to!!
Anyway - thanks again for listening - again sorry to bring down the theme... THINKING IT THROUGH is not an easy thing to do, but I also know it won't help anyone or anything if I don't THINK about ME while WE are going through this!
Love you gals ♥hugs♥

Good Morning Everyone ~ finally got the internet working on my laptop - I have no idea why it suddenly stopped ?? but maybe I hit a button as the internet was just fine for everyone else! geesh... Carole - Wow. That is a lot to process. No wonder work is irritating you with all that's going on in your family's lives, especially Matthew. Hugs to you {{{}}} as I can only imagine the roller coaster of emotions for you right now. Remaining optimistic is a good thing so don't let up on that light! Do take care of YOU and yes, step away from your desk. No one quite 'gets' your dedication to being chained to your desk so it's OKAY to get some steps in before your back starts screaming again...sometimes going through the motions of a routine helps give your mind that bit of a break from it all. Gabrielle - hopefully you landed in DC okay!! Sue - that is a lot going on in TX! Wow! My DMIL had CHF and I know it's a balance of meds to keep things functioning properly - it's so hard. But good for Annie hearing others her mother's age talk about how to handle discomfort vs pain. Good job to Jason getting those potatoes harvested! Shelly - I was thinking the same thing as Carole about the makeup. Wait until others hear your brand is made in USA not Istanbul, Turkey! And yes, knowing WHAT the ingredients are makes a difference lol Lisa - good job finding just the right outfits for work - It is hard when the heat is blasting in some parts of the building but it's blustery and cold outside! I find myself wearing cardigans. Easy to shed when over heated Gotta get moving - thinking of all of you!!

Good morning! Getting started off ok so far but need more coffee. I will remember to think things through today!
Carole-thanks for starting us off. Uhh...back burners usually come back to haunt you if it is too big of a thing to put on the back burner. I think is is again encouraging to hear that Matt's cancer is localized and they are working on a treatment plan. I'm glad that his family is planning a visit to the aquarium for something relaxing.
Christine-glad that the internet is cooperating for you. I know of several times that I have typed a big post and went to post it and POOF it's gone. Yes I am becoming a fan of cardigans. I have like 4 colors and most of them will work with whatever I'm wearing.
Gabrielle-good luck with the marathon...I am inspired by your commitment. Hope all travel goes well.
Shelly-I'm inspired by your workouts early in the morning. That's what I used to do when I was on WW and at my lowest weight.
Sue-I'm needing to get heading out the door too, just need to finish drying my hair and today for the first time this fall, I'm wearing a pair of short boots. So hard because I LOVE my sandals!
Greg has PT this afternoon and saving a couple of errands till then. I hope to get to some good stopping point at work so that as many files as possible can go to storage tomorrow.
Try to BBL...hello to Jenny and ATF! Will try to think first before words and actions today!

Good Morning Gals
I too have some rather upsetting news. My DH went into an oral surgeon about 2 weeks ago to take a biopsy on the inside of his lip, they got the results back yesterday and it is low form of cancer. So they are going to order a cat scan and make sure it didn't spread to his lymph glands or any where else in his body and fingers cross it hasn't, if it hasn't spread then they will go into surgery on November 19th and cut out part of the inside of his mouth and he won't be able to eat for a while, so I promised him mashed potato's and gravy for Thanksgiving . If it has spread to the lymph gland then they will start radiation and or Chemo depending on what they feel they need to do. So we could use prayers also on this end and positive thoughts as well.
Sorry that's all I have for now...
Jenny

Yes I need to think things through as well for Thursday's topic, it's hard to even think about staying on track with all the news that's been presented in the last 24 hours but at least I packed some 1sp soup and other healthy stuff to eat through the day and will stay OP for dinner with defiantly some wine.
Carole so sorry about Matt's email, I can so identify with you right now, but we got this, positive thoughts and prayers is all we can think of. AND, you get to go see Gabrielle tomorrow to so that's exciting and at least it will take your mind off Matt. I hope you get your work caught up and I think that's crazy your own work is put on the back burner. It's going to make it hard to catch up.
Sue sorry to hear DM is still having issues with the pills, I'm hoping DSIL can help her off them like she did her own mom. Boy I can't believe all the potato's Jason planted that's one big garden, they look so yummy though.
Hello Christine how's things going your way?
Gabrielle good luck with the run and hug our Carole for us.
Hello Lisa and Shelly
Gotta run for now

Evening ladies....finally time to catch up again....came home and ordered the last gift for Sarah's boys....might be something some of the grandkids here on the thread might like....they are called Kiwi Crates. I know Shea's mom has ordered them for Kale and Rowan and they love them....It's a monthly crate that comes with a project in it, science, crafts, etc...depends on what you pick. You can order a month, 3 months, 6 months or a year.... If you might want to look at it...here is the link. I am having the 1st box sent to me so I can wrap it for Christmas, then the rest will be delivered to their house!

Now back to Tuesday.....
Lisa...question, why do the employees have a max number of hours?? Great news about the job offer for Joe too! I know that both Jason and I have taken jobs where the pay isn't great but the benefits are worth the risk. Get that flu shot....germs are starting to fly!! Why are they shutting off your power these days??? You are right....never know what you will be "hungry for" in the evening.
Gabrielle...isn't it funny how you crave home cooked meals when you eat out day after day! WOW, you sure left early for DC. I'm sure traveling with Ed and friends will be much better than traveling alone! Today was actually a pretty calm day at work....tomorrow is Friday so it's all good! Got a fun weekend ahead this week...
Friday night is a Thanksgiving paint night with a couple of my usual painting buddies....we are painting the cutest turkey....he makes us all smile! Saturday at 4pm we head to DFs for the Y Family get together...then Sunday is just soccer for Colton at 2pm I think....pretty low key and the stuff we have to do is fun! We really don't have much between now and Thanksgiving now....we go to Dutch Apple on the 1st but other than that....I think we are in a
Shelly....sorry your makeup person jumped ship! That's kind of "dirty pool" in my book. Hopefully your customers will look at the quality of the products and not the price tag of the new company. I know others use cheaper oils but I will say YL's quality I will always go for.....since I've been using oils I have been checking ingredients or EO in stores and online and reading ingredients and seeing "not all oils are created equal"!!
OYE...he's talking to me again! I love him but he's driving me crazy!

It’s late and I need to go to bed but wanted to stop in and let you know what I have been up to. Today it started snowing around 1:30. It’s still snowing and it is 10:30. We have over 8” of snow. Power was off for over 5 hours then has flickered. I decided I better take my shower tonight just Incase I don’t have electricity in the morning. If I don’t have power then I don’t have water. It’s work out day in the morning so I need to get to bed. Heading to Lubbock tomorrow so not sure if I will be here this weekend.
Will stop in when I can

Hi there ladies:
Yikes, super late and a busy day. The flight was fine and our Airbnb is great---we are using public transportation--so far Ubers and taxis but will use the metro tomorrow. I picked this place due to its proximity to the metro. Had a great day today with museums, a great lunch and dinner, night time memorial visits...27K steps! Tomorrow won't be quite as much. We did see all of the booths, etc for the marathon set up by Arlington Cemetary--getting exciting.
Carole: So, I don't really understand Matt's email about the "thicker" thing...might be hard to understand the verbiage that the doctors use. For now it sounds like one "thinks" it is localized and the other says it "usually" is localized in his situation....sounds like the additional tests will be key. I am SO sorry that you are going through all of this. It brings back anxiety just reading it and I wouldn't wish that on anyone. So, it is supposed to be rain and thunder on Sunday but warm...otherwise it looks to be nice weather. SO, SO glad that I can see you and be with you for a while. I am glad that the kids are planning some time away too. Hopefully Matt is talking to someone if he needs it...maybe he just doesn't want that right now. The bottom line is that he knows that you all are there for him. Hugs my friend.
Sue: Sounds like a WONDERFUL weekend for you! How nice! I hope that Jason has been able to get done what needs to be done with the potatoes....I know that you count on them. Wow, so much going on with your mom and another reminder of how great it is that she is in TX now...and on the best possible path to good health.
Christine: Hope that your week is ending on a good note? Thank you--yes, the flight was good -- got in here at about 9:30 pm on Wed and I was tired! Full day today--power outages all over our area so (unfortunately) I had to deal with work-work a few times. Our power was out until tonight so only 2 days this time but now they are saying maybe on Sunday too....uggh. That will be the third time this month.
Jenny: I am so sorry to hear about Kerry's dental appt --how frightening for both of you. Thank goodness he goes in for his regular appointments and I hope that it is something that won't require follow up treatment.

Lisa: Any big, fun plans for the weekend? You two usually find some great sports or a good movie. You deserve something fun now that you are back to work! How is Greg feeling? Shelly: Safe travels to Lubbock...wow, 8 inches of snow? Good job with the workouts (still!!) So sorry about the girl working with you--that kind of bad-mouthing never turns out well (to me). I agree with the reinforcement of the products being from the US...cheaper isn't always better. Okay....midnight and I need to get to sleep. Have a good evening (if anyone even reads this .
