Welcome to the CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend still least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning,
Looks like it’s going to be a nice day today. They are having the Trunk or Treat event at the dealership today. It’s the 1st annual, we hope that there are more than just the staffs children there. I’m going in a bit early so that I can see the decorated cars. Should be fun.
Minestrone soup turned out good. I think the pasta used a lot more liquid, ended up thick like stew. I’m going to add a can of broth and diced tomatoes to thin it out. The recipe is a keeper though.
Today is my class at the Y. I think combining that class with rejoining WW is going to get me through the holiday eating frenzy.
Ruth - I think Carol might need that time at long term rehab to get some strength back. Prayers continue. Hope Mara did well with the toddler bed.
Just puttering around today. Gotta keep what’s organized in shape.
See ya tomorrow

Good morning. We slept in until about 8:45 this morning. Stan did not sleep well due to his AFib being bad. It’s not fun being him or being around him. He gets really crabby because he feels so bad. Frustrating that they can’t just schedule the tune up ablation since we all know that’s where we’re headed. At the rate this stuff moves thru insurance requirements, he won’t have surgery until after we get back from Hawaii. Ugh!!
Joy, again, congrats on your great 1st week back at WW. Keep up the great work!!!! I think a lot of places around here do the “trunk or treat” events. Gives the kids extra chances to wear their costumes and extra candy too. We picked up Halloween bags of Cheetos to give out. 1 bag per child, no messing with counting small candy bars, and best of all, no candy left over!!!
It sounds like the toddler bed isn’t working out very well yet! They should have left the crib up and just added the toddler bed but didn’t. And she didn’t nap yesterday. Not sure how last night went, I haven’t asked yet. First night was long and drawn out before she went to sleep. Not taking her out of our crib until I see evidence she’s trying to get out and then I may just lower the side first. But lots to do to get the room baby proof. TV mounted on the wall and cords hanging down and I need to make sure she can’t get into the closet, etc.
I need to get dressed and get to work on the remaining laundry I brought home. So far I’ve not found it to be urine stained, just smells like cat and has cat hair on it. A lot of it is going to older DGD Jasmine, found a lot of socks and things that will go back to them, and some things will be donated. Just a few Mara things so far.
Getting a pedicure this afternoon. Looking forward to a little pampering. I’ll check in tonight during hockey! Have a good OP day all.

Joyce, great job on the weight loss. I’m sure the class at the Y is helping keep you on track. Hope the weather cooperates for the Trunk or Treat.
Ruth, I think the rehab time would be best for Carol and hope that is what she decides on. The facility will know how to care for her feeding tube and also provide some PT for her to get her strength back. Hope Mara starts doing better with her new bed. Has Stan told his doctor how often he is in A-Fib, hope you don’t have to wait till after your vacation for the procedure.
I went to a painting class today. It was provided at the senior center. I’m glad they didn’t charge for it because my painting didn’t turn out too good but I do understand more about how to go about doing a painting and hope to attend the next class in December. While I was in the center of town I got my absentee ballot, there are local elections while we are gone. One more thing I can scratch off of my to do list.
