Welcome to the CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend still least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning,
The Trunk or Treat event was a big hit. I sent you a few photos. The Jurassic Park truck was the winner, voted on by the kiddies. There were a lot of children, we went through almost $500 in candy. It was the 1st annual, we’re all looking forward to next year already. One of the girls watched the cash office so that I could enjoy a few minutes there. It was held in the Indoor Showroom so weather wasn’t really an issue. Nice community event.
And it was busy all day yesterday. Other cashier was really stressed when I walked in. She was still trying to catch up. I balance the cash drawer when I get in just in case there are issues ... it was a mess, doubles of some entries, some not added - so I restarted entering the transactions from the beginning. She’s been having a tough time lately. We ended up ok, except for 1 missing cc payment. Other cashier will contact customer today.
Class at the Y yesterday was on “I can’t find the time”. . We discussed how often our excuse for not eating healthy, or exercising is because we didn’t have enough time. Our worksheet was centered around daily events that are fixed, like time at work, and things we do that are flexible. Our homework is to design a doable schedule that will include meal planning, grocery shopping, exercise, and everything else ... and to try and stick to that schedule. There are only 3 of us in the class that have jobs, the rest of the group mentioned that they don’t have a real schedule, just do things when they come up. Lots of interesting discussions again.
Today it’s back to the basement, for a few hours. I put some things aside that I want to bring upstairs. I have laundry to do, and sweaters to wash and fluff.
Ruth - I think most little ones have a tough time adjusting to a toddler bed. Hope Mara slept through the night.
Dottie - that painting class sounded like fun, even if your painting wasn’t as good as you wanted. We only have ceramics at our Senior Center, I might suggest a painting class.
Enjoy your day

Joyce, that is an interesting project that the instructor at the Y is having people do. Since retiring I know that my “to do” list is an important part of my day. Some items on the list have a date next to them but for many of the items I hope to complete that day. I’m sure the other cashier was glad to have you help her out.
Waving to Ruth.
I have accomplished a lot today, makes me feel good. Did one load of L and then 2 loads of throw rugs. It was a very nice day and I laid them on the benches on the deck. I try to never put my throw rugs in the dryer, I feel the heat from the dryer ruins them. I also finished 3 weeks of pill boxes. We need to take two weeks with us so they are finished and can be packed in our carry-on luggage. I also paid all the bills that are due while we are gone. I think everything I want to pack is out now the trick will be to get it all in my suitcase.
