Good Morning Chicks,
Linda - you certainly managed to do a great deal of chores for someone who wasn't feeling so great yesterday. I hope the sinuses are better today.
Chele - how are you doing? Did you manage to get some rest and relaxation?
Becky - WOW on finally getting some rain and the cool front!
Karen - good luck at the Master Gardener fair today!
Kathy - hope it's not too hot again today by you but that's probably wishful thinking.
I have a few errands that need to be done today in preparation of the trip tomorrow to SM. My boss finally signed my telecommuting form so that has been sent to HR as well as forwarding my surgeon's note to Workforce Health and Safety for clearance. If lucky, I might be able to start by mid-week next week.
Have a safe and good day ladies; ciao for now~

Liz, thanks for the start. Congratulations on the telecommuting approval. It sounds like you are itching to get back to work. I hope you enjoy the visit with the family this weekend. Did you figure out what to do with the pups? I am glad the PT is doing what it is supposed to, so when you have to commute again your body is up for it. The avatar is a photo of the ash tree I took yesterday. The sky was so blue it made the leaves prettier.
Karen, have fun at the MG fair. I am sure someone will love the scarf. Arya did really well at the vet. Progress! I agree with Dale. I think she would look cute in bows! Iggy is like you. He doesn’t like bandannas or bows on dogs. Speaking of progress, you are doing great at Osteo. I never would have thought taking one’s shoes off would give one more strength for pushing. I sleep better when Iggy is not that far away. I had so e leftover spaghetti for lunch yesterday and leftover salmon cakes and cucumber salad for dinner. I AM cooking today though. I can only do so many leftovers these days.
Linda, for someone who was dragging yesterday, you sure accomplished a lot. Did you wake up congested today? How many more days of eye drops do you and Bob have?
Kathy, what a cool down for you guys! Vacuuming leaves had always been the norm until a few years ago when the city started making is bag the leaves and we had to purchase special compostable bags. Apparently, they have had a lot of complaints about the bags and the bagging and decided to go back to the old ways.
Becky, Iggy has not taken the tests recommended by the GIdoc, so he does mot have a diagnosis. I can only nag so much. I hope your satellite and wifi are back, but I bet the rain was nice.
I fell asleep on the couch yesterday from 4-6 pm and then went to bed at 10pm and woke up at 4am. I feel more rested and have watered all the plants, have a veggie chili simmering, and have a load of laundry in the wash and one in the dryer.

Liz, thanks for the start. It's rainy today, so not quite as hot. They're saying 90 again by Sunday though. I'm glad you're finally getting through all the red tape for the telecommuting. That should make the transition back to work a lot safer and easier. Safe travels tomorrow for the trip to see SM and hope you have a nice family visit. Chele, nice picture! The ash tree looks lovely against the blue sky. I would be completely clueless on how to handle fall and winter if I ever moved north. Vacuuming leaves, who knew! There have been a lot of complaints here since going to once a week trash pickup. It's just too long for trash to sit out in the heat here and people have been having problems with bugs and rodents. I don't have that much compared to a family and don't put it outside until trash day, but some people don't have that option. I can only do leftovers for so long too. It's one hazard of cooking for one. How did the veggie chili come out? I'm glad you were able to get some rest. Karen, I hope the scarf gets a good price. I also think Arya would look cute in bows. Congrats on the Osteo breakthrough. I know you've been working hard on that. Is the MG fair close to home? Hope you don't have to travel too far. Are you going to get any weather from that system in the Gulf? They're saying it will combine with the cold front coming through. It looks like a mess in the Gulf and over to FL just in time for the weekend. Waving to Linda and Becky.

Thanks for the start Liz.We ended up with 4 1/2" rain last night. It was 82 before the front came in and our low this morning was 44.It got up to 56 and now down to 51.It's the coolest day since the last day of March.I'm glad your telecommuting was approved.I hope you enjoy time with family.
Chele The rain was wonderful.Once the rain slowed down we got both TV and wifi back. You must have really needed the sleep.
Linda It has been chilly and the rain and wind together last night was awesome.Winds have been blowing 30 MPH today.Hopefully it will settle down some tonight. At least we didn't have snow like Amarillo.I'm glad your sinuses are better.
Waves to Kathy and Karen.

Thanks for the start, Liz. Congrats(?) on the telecommute approval. Did you get your errands done? Safe travels to visit SM. I hope you will have a nice trip. Great news on the PT getting you on the road to normality.
Chele, I like the upright tree. You're right that the sky shows off the leaves. Glad you enjoyed your afternoon nap yesterday but sorry for the early wake up. You did feel rested, so that's a great thing. Did Iggy get home ok? What was on the dinner menu? Arya would look cute in bows but she wouldn't tolerate it. A friend of mine does make doggy bandanas that fit on the collar and I ordered one from her today (she was a vendor at the craft fair) so we'll see how that goes.
Yay for improving sinuses, Linda? So, the wind is the aggravating factor for you? Happy you had a good lunch with DSIL. I think we all know from Liz's work life how competent people are treated in the workforce in many places. It goes back to something someone told me a long time ago--if you do your job well, they think they can continue to pile it on and you'll find a way to get it done. Hope you enjoyed a little rest today.
Kathy, we are getting rain and have been off and on since about Noon and it looks like the system from the Gulf. It is supposed to clear out in the morning, so tomorrow is supposed to be nice. I didn't even think about the effects of heat on the trash situation there in the summer. That could be really nasty. Do you think the complaints will be positively resolved or will you be stuck with the once a week schedule? I wonder if the bear-proof containers are also insect and rodent proof. The craft fair is at the same location as the flower and garden show in April and the county fair in August, so 30 to 40 minutes depending on traffic. Coming home the traffic was absolutely awful and it took me between 45 and 50 minutes.
That's an amazing amount of rain, Becky, especially with how little you have gotten over the past few months. That's some pretty significant wind, too. Hadn't heard that Amarillo got snow.
I put in an almost 10 hour day and I'm feeling it. The building wasn't as cold as last year, but I kept my jacket and gloves on the entire day. We might have had 100 people come through and most of the vendors seemed happy. I can't wear my faux fur lined Merrells yet, so I wore a pair of my hiking Merrells and my feet were cold all day, despite wearing a pair of heavy hiking socks. So Dale is in shorts and short sleeves while I am in sweats under a blanket trying to thaw out. I even had millet and brown rice ramen for dinner to try to warm from the inside with minimal success. I think I will have the mattress pad on tonight and hopefully a furry foot warmer. I may get to sleep late in the morning and Dale knows where Arya's breakfast is. I won a couple of the cutest tie-dyed silicone pint glasses in the silent auction. The brand is Silipint and they are adorable! I'm looking forward to using them.
