Welcome to the CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend still least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning all. Didn’t realize until late last night that I hadn’t posted yesterday. We had Mara all day and got Sawyer late afternoon. All 3 were here for dinner and then DD & Harper went home to rest up for this morning’s 5K run.
Mara was awake during the night again, shortly after we went to bed. Heard her talking a couple other times, but she didn’t cry so I didn’t go up. But makes you really tired. I need to start going to bed way earlier so I can get some rest.
I have 90% of the kids’ laundry finished up, so last night I did the self-cleaning mode with a cleaner tablet to my washer. Then used the disinfectant wipes on the interior of it and the dryer. Trying to remove cat hair / dander before I start our laundry. Our hamper is overflowing and I have to get it started in just a few minutes.
Joy, loved the pictures. Looks like a fun time was had by all. WOW!! $500 is a lot of candy!! You must have had a big turnout.
Joy, hope you are able to get your leaves finished before you leave on your next adventure. Sounds like you are getting all packed up for the trip.
Stan is STILL in AFib and he feels awful! Not a good time to have a toddler for a week. He’s been in it since Tuesday at 5:00 pm; longest stretch in a year probably. And he’s let the dr’s office know, but they said just keep tracking and he has an appt. with the NP on 11/10; then they did make him an appt. with the cardiologist surgeon but not until 12/5. We will live with it but it’s not fun for anyone!!!
ok, need to go change the toddler and get 3 of us dressed for the day. Then get the laundry going because it will take me all day to get that done.
will check in later today.

Joyce, hope you have a good day at work. There must have been lots of trick or treaters to go thru $500 in candy. I’m sure the kids enjoyed it.
Ruth, hope Stan is out of A-fib soon, that must be terrible for him. Hopefully the doctor can see him sooner than December. You have been busy with all that laundry, hope DS and DIL appreciate that and everything you do for them. How is Carol doing? Is she still in the hospital?
Bill is doing leaves, just using the riding lawn mower. This is the first year he has been able to do it this way, usually the leaves are so thick on the lawn that the lawn mower acts more like a pusher and just keeps moving the leaves in front of the lawn mower. The leaves seem to be falling slower than usual. Tonight we are going to the play at DSs college. I forget what it is but he said it is one of their better ones. Sometimes college theater leaves a lot to be desired especially when the students write the plays themselves.

Good evening all. Watching the Wild hockey game. DD/Harper came out after lunch to get Sawyer. They both enjoyed their run this morning. Nice medals they got too. Girls were noisy and Mara wouldn’t nap. Tried rocking her and got her asleep but she woke up when I put her back in bed. Could not get her to nap. Put her down about 7:30 tonight. Praying she sleeps all night tonight so I can.
Our laundry is finished and put away (except for the hanging stuff) and I will do our bedding tomorrow. Too tired to wrangle sheets back on those dumb twin beds. Still don’t like those beds for so many reasons!!!
Carol is home. Got home 2 nights ago. She has a home health aide coming in part of the time. She is getting her nutrition from a backpack. One day plain formula; next day a fat fortified formula. She was to have chemo this coming Tuesday but her oncologist said to skip it to give the feeding tube more time to heal. Today she said the feeding tube is leaking, but it looks like infection. Told her to call someone asap and get on an antibiotic before that infection gets a chance to spread. She did say today she doesn’t think they will make Hawaii. And she was really looking forward to it and she feels her DH deserves to go for taking such good care of her. Told her if she changes her mind when it gets closer, we have points and there are a lot of hotel options we can use them at near us in Maui. She did suggest meeting next spring somewhere between Indy & MN! Will try to find someplace interesting that we can use points and save both of us some $$$.
Stan is still in AFib. 4+ days now. Longest he’s been in it for over a year. He’s so tired and I feel sorry for him; but I also get frustrated because I think he should be on the phone with the doctor’s office, demanding that they get a message to the cardiologist and finding him an opening. Surely they have a short list for filling cancellations or keep a few appts for things like this. The dr told him at one of his appts I went to that he should insist they get a message to him and he just won’t do it. As of right now, he sees the Nurse Practitioner on 11/10; and when he did contact them about his AFib they made him an appt with the cardiologist on 12/5. I think it’s way too long to wait, because part of the time his heart rate is up in the 130’s which is 110% of what his maximum should be!!! And it’s running higher than usual 24/7. And he went jogging with it that way the other day and wondered why he was so winded.
Ok, period break coming up and I still need to unload and re-load the dishwasher. Did this last night too but after cooking dinner for 6 of us and then waffles this morning, it needed to run again. Now needs unloaded too. More tomorrow!

Ugh! Just finished watching the Bills lose big time. They looked terrible.
Work went good yesterday. They had another sales event, but the turnout wasn’t that good.
Laundry to do later today, might let it go until tomorrow.
Ruth - hope Stan is doing better today. I’m sure he was hoping the Afib was a thing of the past. Prayers continue for Carol. Hope they take care of that infection before it gets too bad.
Dottie - it’s been so windy today, I actually have leaves in my yard from a tree 3 houses down,
I need to go grocery shopping, but I’ll probably put that off too. Not a good day for me.
I might bbl.

Joyce, very cool and damp here. Was raining this morning and is still raining. Sorry to hear you aren’t having a good day, that can happen to me when the weather gets yucky.
Ruth, you really had a busy weekend. Are you having Mara all week now? How is Stan doing? Hopefully his doctor will feel it is necessary for him to come in soon for his appointment. Prayers continue for Carol. Hope the home health aid is used to be working with infections, usually that is a RN.
Yesterday our back yard was almost leaf free, but now it looks like we haven’t even been working in the yard. A lot of the leaves have come down due to the wind and rain. We hope to be able to work in the yard on Tuesday if it the grass/leaves are dry. Right now there are some big puddles. I (Bill helped) made a Shutterfly book from the family pictures. I have had people tell me how easy it is, well it might be easy if you do it a lot but it took us time to figures things out. It should be here in less than 2 weeks. Need to get dinner going, Bill is watching the Pats now, will probably eat at half time.

Good night all. Watching the news and then headed to bed. I got very little constructive done today. I read the paper and recycled it and cut out the coupons I needed. Went to Target and picked up a few groceries. Helped Stan prep the chili he made and that was about the extent of my day. Extremely tired from this cough that doesn’t seem to be getting any better. Will probably have to call in mid-week to get something else to try on it. Getting sore all over from coughing.
In good news, Stan has been out of AFib since 10 am today. To celebrate he and Maggie went for a run. He’s still tired but decided he feels better if he can get a run in.
Have heard from DS Carol but not if she called the dr or not about the possible infection in her feeding tube. Hopefully tomorrow I’ll hear something.
DIL’s surgery is tomorrow afternoon. She’s hoping to only be in the hospital one day. Time will tell. Yes, we will have Mara until Friday evening. We will take her to her movement/dance class on Wednesday evening and DS will meet us there. I’m doubting DIL will be up to going this first week. I hope DS comes because I really don’t want to do the class the way I feel. DH might do it as he hasn’t seen it yet.
Joy, hope you have a better day tomorrow. I hate those kinds of days. Dottie, how much longer until you leave on your next trip?
Ok, DH is checking on Mara since I think I woke her up last night coughing while checking on her. She fussed a while ago and I had him go. She’s decided if she sees me she needs rocked. I just want to go to bed and sleep.
More tomorrow. Flu shots in the afternoon. Hope they will give me one.
