Good Morning ~ trying to feel peppy and ready for the day but that's not reality lol I have been battling this headcold and trying to prevent it from grabbing hold - slept 'okay' but moved into Lindsey's room around midnight as DH was complaining he couldn't fall asleep due to my snoring! lol I was more comfortable in her room anyways minus the stress of keeping him awake Grabbing some coffee....brb....

Gabrielle - CONGRATS again on finishing the race in what looked like a monsoon rain! Ugh! But you did it!! Hopefully you feel accomplished and can now relax as you recover! Sue - we had rains most of the morning, then strong winds (calling for Gale Warnings on the Lake) then more rain...but today is supposed to be Sunny. DD23 Carly is taking one for the team ha ha - her BF Ben is a huge Steelers fan and he talked her into going to the game tonight in Pittsburgh - 2 hour drive each way - she's like me, a Girl who needs her sleep and is worried about being exhausted tomorrow - but I told her she's young! It'll be FUN! Carole - I bet you are tired from the trip home - but so glad you enjoyed it and you got some great pictures of sight seeing! Was the weather rainy ALL the way home? Ugh, exhausting I can only imagine...glad you have the day to rest. Sue - again, I cannot believe all the family drama from Annie - and then, just like that she flipped the other switch - what, like, 'just kidding, we can do this'?? What an emotional roller coaster! Glad you had such fun Saturday night. And oh my, TWO sets of twins?? Was this natural or ?? WOW! Sounds like your friends daughter has her hands full with 5 children under 6 yr! Okay - grabbing another cup of coffee and getting this day moving ...I signed up to 'help' supervise the Child Care the next 3 days (today until 5:00 but tomorrow until 6:00)...cannot think about being sick. At least the major Testing school wide is finished!! Hooray!!!

Good morning! I tried to keep up reading posts from the weekend, but right now I'm not feeling the Monday thing and my knees and back are sore from moving. It was pouring on Saturday by the time we got the big stuff loaded and partially unloaded at the kid's new place. I've decided that next year instead of helping them move, I will offer to help them pack because their living room looked like a garage sale after Grace and Amy helped Tiffany pack and stage stuff on Saturday, but at least it got everything into the living room. So yesterday we took Greg's pickup and moved stuff in boxes with lids or totes. Leaving the rest up to Joe and Tiffany and announced that this was our last move as far as lifting things up and down stairs. Greg didn't do stairs but he was able to move things to the back of the truck for others to carry or put on a hand truck. I wish Tiffany would get more ruthless with her downsizing, but she really hasn't downsized much since last year. I think we had 4 boxes of stuff animals!
Christine-thanks for starting us off! I'm having a hard time getting motivated today, and I know that my first task is pulling files from the record room, which I think I'm going to break up into parts since my knees hurt and I think after standing awhile I may be feeling it, but I'm going to see how that works out.
Gabrielle-CONGRATS on the marathon and I hope you get more sight seeing in. I'm hoping that the wildfires are not close to your home, it's just horrible with the wind coming up from what I see on the news.
I've got to stop by the Walgreens pharmacy on the way to work so I'll BBL. Happy Monday to all, I'm ready to get through it and move on!

Good morning - yes MOVE MORE is on my agenda today! After doing 9+miles in DC on Saturday - yesterday was TERRIBLE for me... the sitting - the wet - damp yucky weather... came home wicked stiff and sore! Even 45 minutes in the hot tub didn't take the soreness away - UGH...
Slept OK last night but not great - even being so TIRED and Ken in the other room... but OK. Slept IN until after 7... heading to Greenfield today to get my new REAL ID... jump through MA RMV HOOPS - so unnecessary.... I mean, gee - I have been renewing my MA License since I was 16 years old... even after getting married - and changing my name... today I have to show my marriage certificate to {ROVE my name change! WTH?? I must have proven my name change 41 years ago - and renewed that license every 4 years for 40 years... NOW they need PROOF??? UGH! Gotta do it - but yes, it frustrates and angers me to no end!! I started the process on line - hoping it won't take forever at the RMV today! Ken needs blood work done and Tracy needs an urgent care appointment - so we will all do our own thing - but all go together!! I had forgotten this was one of those things I was going to do on my vacation - but then - whooops... didn't take vacation and never thought of it again until the other day!
Oh and 1 of my PROOF of residency forms can be my Jury Duty Summons that I got the other day - go figure, they knwo I am "real" for Jury Duty - but must jump through these hoops for a darned ID! UGH - nope, can't shake the frustration over it all!
OK need to catch up from the weekend... with another cup of coffee.

Sue: I simply cannot imagine the ups and downs of Jim/Annie trying to work with DM... but WOW, how shortsighted of them!! I agree... put DM in a place that can'will care for her - but keep her out of NC and anywhere near where Kris will get back in!!
OH yes... I too am good with auto deductions from payroll - but, gosh we can only let so much go so many places before we are hit with Oops, we can't pay this bill! Not medical - but ANY! I do believe this year we will bump the HSA (instead of FSA) instead of boosting the 401k that I usually do with my annual pay raise! Meanwhile - if we get bills early in the year - they can wait to be paid when we have the $$ in there! From what we learned about HSA last year... IF I have to pay say a hospital bill in January - once I get the funds IN the account I ca repay myself - (or the cc) from the HSA... so in the end it does make the most sense... but all these "changes" scare me!
OH Speaking of bills in early 2020, apparently there won't be a sleep study - insurance has denied the request! HA! I am so beyond frustrated - I just get myself talked into doing it them it is pulled out from under me! UGH! I will take the denial to HR and see if she can help me figure it out.... they "suggest an in home study", ummmm, hellooooo.... they already paid for one of them!! I just can't win! Meanwhile DH - who has my insurance - is being referred elsewhere, and so far has not been denied! Oh and HIS "consult" is scheduled for November - mine was set for JANUARY!!
WE HAVE THE SAME INSURANCE!!!
No Sue - Thursday went well - actually doing just my own work - so felt like I had kind of an easy day! LOL
OMG I had the same issue this morning - all of a sudden Tracy thought I cared about her "cleaning up texts from her phone"! She was reading a lot of texts to me - ummmm, I truly do not care about her phone! Does that make me a bad person??? Now she is having breakfast - so that has shut her up for now! UGH!
YES that's where I run into issues... I am so unsure about how many drops of oils to drops of carrier oil...
Newest report from Matt: Monday - meet with team performing procedure on Tuesday Tuesday: Port placement Thursday: Endoscopic Ultrasound Looking into Hartford Healthcare Cancer Institute - They are an alliance hospital to the Sloan-Kettering Center in NYC.
I had mentioned that as we were driving through NY area - I Was doing some mapping of the Cancer Center in NYC, it won't be that difficult to drive to... yes, city driving - but not over the GW bridge... and it is not in UPTOWN or MIDTOWN it is kind of out of the way!??!? Oh yeah, when we go to NYC we always do the trains... but... for "treatment"? I wasn't sure he'd be able to do that. I had said the train in from New Haven - shorter time on the train than from further North... then at Grand Central - ya, spend the $$ on an Uber. Easier than switching trains and buses - and all that... depending when - and how he'd be doing... but now it seems we may only be going to Hartford! I can do that - NO PROBLEM! Actually Tracy drives a damned ambulance into and out of Boston - Hartford, Springfield - I guess she could drive a car!!
HA! Even though it was chilly I did wear flip flops in the car yesterday - just couldn't put my shoes back on! OH Have to say - with all the walking we did - the PF in my foot was NOT hurting! LOVE the insoles the PT sold me!!
27 squash from the compost pile! Must be a heck of a compost pile!
OH I love my google... and yes it even alerted us to multiple "speed traps" along the way! LOL Yesterday we got in more traffic than we had Friday - and it reports the accidents, where they are and how much time they expect to be a problem!
I have to say - when discussing the time card thing with Crystal - she assured me I will have whatever time I need for Matt, and that she can be "creative" with the time card if it comes to that! I was shocked!!
OH I usually do another turkey dinner - since I don't have TG here... I just need to do at least one a year!!
Thank you - yes I need to remember I am only doing what I can do... from now until TG week - I will be at work all 5 days a week. I will see if Tracy can help out with Zoë the next couple of Saturdays - and maybe I can get the OT as well as getting it caught up. I am sure Crystal won't mind the OT - it's pretty much up to me I would assume! I am mostly hoping Debbie is coming back next week - and NOT taking her 2 scheduled days off at this point - but I am sure she went without pay so she could save these days! She is that kind of person... I remember when she had to leave work after being notified of her DB death... she took her days off as bereavement - then took her scheduled day off to go away! Then took time off with no pay - when they finally had the funeral!
LOL Yes, the wonders of retirement... will we be able to survive spending so much time together!
Oh Sue... I was wondering - does DSKris keep in touch with DM filling her head with things that are not quite true?? I so hope Annie and Jim can find a place for DM... it appears to be what she wants... to live out her days under pain control and not worrying about making friends or being part of her (new) community! SO sorry you all are dealing with this now!
Ahhh, no such luck... Saturday night the tub was a COLD as it was Friday - I was very frustrated and disappointed... but I went to bed early - got a few hours of sleep before the snoring kept me up most of the night!
Oh NO! Taking Colton to stay with the NEW BF is NOT acceptable!! I hope Josh has documented THIS for future reference! WOW! If it works out then great - but what are the odds? The first one she takes Colton to "play house" might be "the one"! UGH Poor Josh... I mean gee don't we all remember - not so long ago when Amanda didn't even want Sarah being a part of the dentist appointments?
Shelly: YAY! I saw on FB that Keeley WON! WOO HOO!!!! When do you head to Disney???

Christine: Hoping the Airborne is helping keep the crud away! I actually took some with me to DC, took it each morning - but I tend to do only 1 per day - unless I am in among a LOT of "germs"... YAY for getting the 2nd bush done!! NICE to let some light into your windows too!! UGH I wish we had a place to take cut branches and all - we end up burning most of it!
My yard guy just wants us to mow once more before snowfall and then he will do spring cleanup - he'd actually rather NOT do a fall cleanup too! Surprised at that - would have thought he'd like to earn the money twice! LOL
I have NO PLAN for this week - but while in Greenfield, I guess I'd better hit the grocery store - need produce... need to get back to making salads!!
SO by now I probably shared - we walked over 9 miles on Saturday. Arlington was on Tracy's bucket list (more than mine) but I do love to go there... brings a lot "home" while there. We were there in time to see the changing of the guards... always an impressive sight - we have seen it before... but Tracy doesn't remember - and to be honest I don't know that she has seen it? We stopped on our way home from FL back in 1989... so she was only 7, but none of us remember if we saw the changing of the guard or just the tomb itself? Anyway - I am glad she got to see it.
Well SIMPLE Sunday was just that - we simply drove... made a few stops but not a lot - the rains made travel much slower, which is fine... no need to take chances trying to beat a time line!! We all have today - so yesterday's trip was not make or break in a certain amount of time!
Friday going down was just 8 hours - door to door... coming home was about 9 1/2 hours! Knew it would be longer - the ride home always is... and with the slower driving (due to the pouring rain) and a few accidents ahead of us - the extra 1 1/2 hours made no difference to us!
OH my goodness... so NOW they are ready to carry on! Have you had a chance to speak directly to DB Jim? See what his actual take on all of this is??? Were they worried that putting her in a nursing home would cause issues with you and David??
So glad you had a great time with your Y friends... so good that you can all still get together and have fun!!
Good luck to Jason today - YAY for being able to figure out meals without a lot of shopping!
WOW That's a lot of grandkids for your friend!!
OH Sue... still reeling from the ups and downs of DB Jim and DM and Annie - and OMGosh... how do you process it all!?

Yes, While I have not moved much yet this morning - I will MOVE MORE when I get going! LOL I have laundry to do - and head to the RMV - then the grocery store, then home to cook dinner... and get myself mentally ready for work tomorrow! I admit it - I do not want to go (already)!
Christine: UGH I get it... trying to feel peppy about going in to work?? Sorry the head cold is still "there" - glad it hasn't blossomed full blown - hope the day goes well for you {{{hugs}}}
Gabrielle must be about home by now... her flight was like 6:40 AM this morning... so great to see her Friday ♥
We are dry but very gray and dreary out there so far... no hanging clothes out to dry today!
HA! Poor DD Carly - that's exactly where my head would be too! Why do you think I took today off?? LOL I KNEW I couldn't do the drive home yesterday and be ready to work today !UGH! I am still here enjoying more coffee in my jammies! LOL Ummm, no... we had several breaks of sunshine - was warm, up to 70 part of the drive home... had windows down and everything! Then it was showers - and misty... but not full on RAIN as it was when we were leaving VA!
OH WOW - YAY for YOU volunteering to the childcare even feeling lousy!! YAY for testing done... must be a relief for you {{{hugs}}} but hey YOU DID IT! Got it done and moving on!!! Proud of you GF ♥
Lisa: I guess I missed you were part of the moving crew!! Or I forgot... but WOW yes, moving is a lot of work!! Hopefully you feel better tomorrow than you do today. That's a lot of WORK for you and Greg! Good like with your work day today... hoping the hours go smoothly today {{{hugs}}}

OK Time to get moving - I Have a load of laundry to flip, then shower and get the day started... need to leave for town around 1:15 to get Tracy to her appointment. All weekend she has had itchy watery RED eyes, including puffy and looked painful!! She is better today - but as long as her NP has an open appointment she will go!
I also need to pull some meat and frozen leftovers for dinner tonight - a nice steak will taste good I think! Too much "fast food" this weekend... need to get back to a more normal eating plan... not sure what the scale may say today - but my stomach says it's time to get back to normal!! LOL
Might be back later - but if not, will C-Ya'All in the morning!!
♥hugs♥

Meanwhile I got my Real ID all set - should have it in the mail within a week - 10 days! Got produce... now need to get it all cut and ready to make salads...

Evening all....had a pretty low key day at work and then got Jason after work from his colonoscopy. They found some polyps and will send off for biopsy like his last one....fingers crossed none are pre-cancerous....last time he had 6 and one was pre-C so he had to recheck at 3 years....if none or pre-C this time it will be 5 years! Doctor was not concerned, so not going to overthink this!
Carole...saw you snuck in yesterday! LOL, sorry Ken got up and ruined your "alone time"! I will say despite the rains, you made pretty good time. I know at times it was MISERABLE here...just torrential downpours but by the time you left DC you would have gotten to the point of passing by us and the rains should have been done...I'm sure as you went you were kind of traveling with it as it went north! Yes, yesterday after the rains came through we had bright sunshine, upper 60's temps and a good stiff breeze...but the breeze helped dry the garage floor so Jason could get more sweet potatoes laid out last night!
Carole...I could call DM and ask her and she would just say "it's so nice here, the people are so nice....blah, blah, blah"....as long as she has her opiods she fine....but the fact that Jim and Annie are keeping her from taking more than prescribed, she's pi$$ed! DM is a master manipulator and she will paint a different picture to everyone so it fits "her needs"! I honestly think that Annie & Jim just wanted to "fix DM" and get her to the independent person she could be but you "can't fight City Hall" and DM doesn't want to get clean at this point.....until she admits she's an addict, they are fighting an uphill battle!
Christine...thanks for starting us off this morning....never got here even to say good morning....with Jason home finishing up his prep for the colonoscopy he messed with my "routine".....he's usually out the door about the time I'm getting out of bed so I'm home here alone....today and tomorrow he will be here messing with my system! He could go back to work if he wanted, but he has the sick days and he NEVER takes any so since his instructions said no working "heavy machinery" for 24 hours he decided to "milk it"....a fork lift is heavy machinery and his test was after lunch so it's "doctor's orders", right??? LOL!
Christine....I always find it hard to feel "peppy" on a Monday....I just want to keep the weekend going one more day! Glad moving to Lindsey's room helped both you and Gary sleep fairly well last night! Oh my, Carly will be dragging tomorrow but glad she is going with Ben...one day she can handle....she's young right?? I can do one late night but it does take me a little longer these days to bounce back!
I want to FaceTime with David and Katie to see if they got any additional response from Annie & Jim...the three of us tried to warn them but I'm not sure until they actually "lived it" did they see it was as bad as we said it was....I also don't think they realized how "toxic" Kris was to the situation. I think once we all said to put her in a nursing home and just let her "do her thing" did they realize that THEY were trying to fix her and that we did not expect them to fix her or think they could.....they had to let go of that need to make DM realize she was an addict and needed help....she doesn't think she is or won't admit she is...she just thinks that her pain is so bad that opiods are the only thing that can work which we all know is not the case!
Yes Christine...both sets of Emily's twins were just naturally conceived....apparently she's a "fertile Myrtle"....but I remember years ago when my cousin Jane was going through artificial insemination they would always see how many eggs she dropped....she dropped 2 or more each month of the 3 months they did it...guess that's why we weren't too surprised when Caroline and Meredith arrived! Well, we were surprised because they could only find one heartbeat for months and it wasn't until they did the testing for genetic issues and the one for Down's Syndrome was elevated....they did a sonogram to check the baby and SURPRISE.....Meredith was hiding behind Caroline so they could not detect her heartbeat with the doppler....
OK...going to try to FT with David....this is usually a good time to catch him...will try to get back unless Jason steals the PC
