Welcome to the CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend still least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning ladies. Mara slept all night and I did too except for coughing! Laundry, grocery shopping, and a flu shot on the agenda for today. I’m not as tired as the last few days, so will strip our beds and get our sheets washed. They are such a pain to remake.
DIL’s surgery is this afternoon. I looked up the name of what she was having to see how it was different than a tummy tuck surgery. Apparently her surgery only removes the excess skin. A tummy tuck also tightens up the stomach muscles. She’s getting rid of the “bat wings” and I’d love to do that. But I think that has a lot to do with her not being able to lift for 8 weeks.
ok, I must get moving. Have a great day and I’ll check back in later on.

Good morning,
I had a moody weekend, but feeling much better today. I started off the day with a walk, that helped a lot. I think I just need to start each day with some exercise, even if it’s just dancing to my favorite tunes.
Nice weather for the beginning of the week so I’ll take advantage of it. I didn’t do much of anything yesterday so laundry is going as I type. I have a load of towels to wash and fold too.
Ruth - prayers for your DILs surgery and for Carol too. Glad to hear Stan is out of aFib.
Dottie - raking leaves is one of those never ending tasks. Hope you can get most of them done this week. With all of the wind we had yesterday I had leaves, but they’re gone now.
Later ...

Joyce, glad to hear you are feeling better. Exercise is good for me too even though I don’t always enjoy doing it. I read about a few YouTube videos similar to Leslie Sansone that I want to check out.
Ruth, hope the cough goes away soon. Have you tried Mucinex? That has helped me when I have an annoying but non-productive cough. When I do that constant coughing I always worry that it will go into bronchitis, then I need to get to the doctor. Great news about Stan being out of A-fib, hope he can stay out of it since you will be having a busy schedule. That is great that Mara slept thru the night, hope that continues for you this week. Prayers for Carol. Is Stan keeping his hearing aids? That sounds like quite a surgery that DIL is having, hope her recovery is quick.
We leave Wednesday morning around 11. Our flight isn’t till 5:30 but we are flying out of Boston. It only takes me 90 minutes to get to DSs house but 2 ½ hours to get to the parking place which is less than 2 miles from the airport. The traffic gets so heavy and slow from DSs exit to the airport exit, so we want to leave ourselves enough time. The start of the Boston marathon is about 2 miles from DSs house so he isn’t that far from Boston. I’m sure some of our leaves blew away with all the wind yesterday but unfortunately we got leaves from some of our neighbors. Sunny and about 60 so Bill and I plan on working on the leaves again this afternoon. This morning I saw a Bobcat in the yard. People have reported seeing one in the area and this is the first time I saw it. When it entered our yard all of the squirrels (there were at least 5 of them in the yard) ran up trees.
