Good Morning Chicks and thanks for the start Karen.
Chele - nice findings at the orchard for you. Will you be doing any baking? Definite bummer on the phone. Iknow they have come out with the iPhone 11 but the reviews I read on the iPhone XR that Becky got were the best for reliability. How was the tabbouleh? The visit to SM went well; her little apartment is cute and little. The sitting in the car and then sitting at dinner were tough on the hip The restaurant was very nice and SM seemed to enjoy being with us and her BD gifts.
Kathy - how are you doing? How was the weekend with the rain once again? The telecommuting request and subsequent approval continues. I need to get specific dates from the surgeon to satisfy the providers at Workforce Health and Safety.
Becky - I am glad you like the iPhone XR; I have been thinking of upgrading to it before the end of the year. WOW once again on the erratic weather but glad you were able to enjooy some coolness after all that heat. I'm sure Scooter was in heaven!
Linda - I guess your fall weather has finally decided to show up. Glad that you enjoyed the soups for dinner; the apple and cheddar salad sounded delicious.
Karen - so sorry that the feets had such a tough time with being cold. I hope the rest of your body and the feets have thawed out and that you're more comfortable. We were rainy for most of the day yesterday and I finally went out to walk around 5:PM. The pups did well as we were fortunate that the dog walker could take them out around dinner time on Sat. and Gary walked the when we got home while I got their food together. It spritzed the whole way home and the GWB was so jammed that we went home through Rockland County and over the new Gov. Mario Cuomon bridge. SM was in good spirits to see us and we made good time getting there. She let us know at dinner that she is going to my cousin's house for Thanksgiving and Christmas day. I'm pretty sure that upset my DS but I was not surprised. I love DS but she has the consistent problem of mouth in gear before thinking about what she says. A few times during the visit Gary and I both had to give her a look to stop her from being argumentative and challenging with SM. It's pretty apparent that SM isn't completely there so agitating her is NOT productive. WOW on the butternut squash; love the soup but seldom get to have it. Our chef friend who moved used to make it this time of year. How are Dale and Arya doing?
I am off to get my updated note request from the surgeon's office. Wishing all a safe and nice day! Ciao for now~

Becky, you were a lot colder than we were yesterday. I don't think we got below 50. Astros are one win away. They have 2 chances, both at home. I'm a bit concerned that they dropped the first 2 home games last week thought. Today is a travel day, so I would love to see them close it out tomorrow. I'm ready to move on from baseball.
Do you have your new phone, Chele? The worst part when I got my new one was getting al the apps the way I had them on the old phone. Amazing that in your UD days you couldn't find ricotta. But then all we had in my college town was a very small "general store", so I'm sure it wasn't there either. But then I lived on campus so there wasn't an oven large enough to make a pan of lasagna anyway.
Sounds like you had a nice trip, minus the hip, Liz. Are you having any continuing effects today from all the sitting? We were cloudy most of yesterday, but the rain moved out early morning. The detour home was probably a good idea. Sorry about DS's foot in mouth disease. Will you still go to DS's for the holidays or stay home? I know the two of you tend to do the Black Friday thing. Yes, agitating SM will not be productive. I know that all too well from DM after her mental capacities started to fade. You can't reason with them. The soup is really easy, especially in the IP. If you make it, however, plan on having leftovers, but it's even better warmed up. Dale and Arya are doing well. Arya has me pinned to the couch right now and is sound asleep. OMG on St. Crazy even needing even more from the surgeon. At this rate, you may start telecommuting next week. Their loss! The level of minutia is staggering.
Kathy, we missed you this weekend. What's going on in your life?
Did you go to art class today, Linda? What's the next project for you there? Are we down to just a few days on Bob's eye drops?
Dale is at the pool and Arya is asleep. I have the 2nd load in the washer and the house is vacuumed. We had an amazing amount of fog this morning, so I will do my hike this afternoon when I hope the sun will be out. There is a loaf in the breadmaker and Arya has breakfasts through Thursday. I did a bit of work on the newsletter this morning. I won't publish til next week, but I don't think I'm waiting for too much because there just isn't that much to include this month. Looking forward to getting my last one done and handing the reins over to someone who will be able to do an amazing job for us.

Karen, thanks for the start. It was a good football weekend for my teams and glad to see TN won too. I started to post a couple of times, but got interrupted. Between the games and party preparations, I didn't get a chance to check in!
Liz, we had rain off and on, but it wasn't too bad. Hope you get the last of the red tape settled for the telecommuting. They sure don't make it easy! Glad you had a good trip to SM's.
Waving to all. Hope you have a good Monday.

Finished a painting and started another..have been doing only 9x12 lately.
Nice day, so I stopped for geraniums and some drip tubing that has built in drippers ever 12 inches. I need to string it under some rocks where the plants have only had lawn water, but our weather just gets worse in drought and heat, so it connects to the main garden drip line now. ..easy job. No energy to plant.

Thanks for the start Karen.
Liz Our weather has been crazy..It got up to almost 80 today and we may or may not get a front tomorrow but hopefully Wednesday.Friday morning it's supposed to be 36 in Austin.Go figure.I do like the XR but for some reason the phone doesn't ring.We may take it to Best Buy to see if they can figure it out or may take it to Verizon.Everything else works great.I'm glad you enjoyed the trip to see DSM but sorry about the hip.
Karen I think about the Astros losing the first 2 games at home but then again the Nats lost all 3 of theirs at home so I guess we will see if they can finish it up tomorrow night.I hope it doesn't go to the 7th game too.I'm not a big baseball fan until the World Serious and usually only when a TX team is in it.Several years ago Kenneth had a cousin who was an umpire in the World Series.
Waves to all.
