Welcome to the CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend still least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good afternoon,
I started posting, but the phone rang and I never got back. Went for my morning walk. Last nice day for quite a while I’m sorry to say. Rain and cooler temps start tomorrow, snow in the forecast for the weekend.
Rearranging my kitchen again. I’m thinking about buying an air fryer. I just need to find a space. Everyone talks about how good they are, I could make chicken fingers and fries the healthy way. Do you have one?
I made meatloaf today, for lunch the next few days. Haven’t had that in a while.
Dottie - safe travels. How long will you be gone?
See ya tomorrow

Good afternoon all. DIL’s surgery seems to have gone well. She’s hoping to get released from the hospital today. She will go home with drains and all.
Joy, we’ve talked about buying an AirFryer also. Have read several things that say if you have a convection oven, it does exactly the same thing. We haven’t tried it to confirm, but that seemed to be the consensus at one of our meetings. If you get one, let me know how you like it. A friend of mine just bought the Ninja that is both air fryer and Instapot. I can get you the model if you’re interested. She sent me the link in an email. But she says it’s big because one lid stays on all the time and the other lid goes on for the other thing. But she says they love it, and when they retire to their RV next summer, this appliance will make the cut to go with!! They are selling house and most everything else before they head out for full time RV’ing.
We are to get some of the “S” stuff too down the road. Originally they were saying Halloween night we might get some. We had a horrible Halloween blizzard in 1991. Younger DD was an 8th or 9th grader and on the high school swim team. They had a party that night that we took her and another friend to and picked up. Nice going, not so nice going home. And then they were to have a big meet that weekend and it couldn’t be held. Was an interesting time!!!
Mara woke crying at 5:45 or so. Rocked her to sleep, until I put her back in bed. So I rocked her again and she was really out but we just rocked until 7:30 when I got us both up and moving. Then she got Papa up too. She is going down soon for a nap and I might too.
Stan & Maggie are going out for a run. He’s taking advantage of no AFib. He got a call from the pharmacy yesterday wanting to refill one of his heart medicine drugs, but saying they were out and couldn’t get it for 24 hours. He told them he wasn’t even on it so not to fill it. He’s telling me that this morning and I said maybe they knew something he didn’t. Because of the emails he’s sent to the cardiology office with details of AFib, they sent him an email (he hadn’t seen it at all yet) saying they were putting him back on it at 400 mg for a month, then down to 200 for the foreseeable future. I was wrong, his appt with the NP isn’t until 11/20; and then the cardiologist on 12/5. They said to keep both appointments and they sent him a device to track AFib but we haven’t received it yet. Praying he gets a break from the AFib for a while.
DS Carol says she is thinking about contacting her oncologist or plastic surgeon in Houston to see if they have any good ideas for better placement of her feeding tube or anything since Indy can’t seem to get it right and keep it from leaking. Told her I thought it was a good idea.
Laundry is going (how did that hamper get full already???) and I need to do a few other chores. Time to get Mara down for her nap. Have a good afternoon. I’ll check in later.

Joyce, glad you were able to get a walk in. It has been misting most of the day, not heavy, but I got damp just throwing out some trash. Keep us posted on the air fryer. My lower oven is a convection oven and I can’t tell any difference, but I don’t use it much.
Ruth, we had a bad snow storm in October of 2012 (just before Halloween), power out for 4 days. Bill and I were headed to Boston for a conference when the snow started. The part of Boston we were in didn’t get much snow but parts of Mass. and Conn got a lot. Hope DIL recovers quickly. Hope Mara sleeps thru the night for you tonight. Did Stan figure out the problem with his meds? I think Carol should call the doctors she had in Houston to ask for a second opinion.
We leave tomorrow and will be home the evening of November 10th. We hope to get some rest on the plane tomorrow night, we didn’t get much rest when we were going to Italy. I’m packed and Bill is almost finished. Tomorrow I just need to finish putting a few things in my carry on and we will be ready to go. I plan on washing the sheets first thing in the morning so that I won’t have to do than when we get home.
