Hi owls & hens.
Pretty lazy day here. Still pretty cold but certainly not as bad as yesterday. Really didn't do much of anything except go to rehab. Stopped at Joanns first to pick a few more fat quarters of purple prints for my quilt.
Made an appt to see my doc tomorrow. Thinking I may have a sinus infection. Having ear/eye/ throat pain for a few days and don't want to wait until later in the week when the office is closed for the holiday. I would have to go to urgent care and I would rather see my own doctor. After that I want to try to get my hair cut. Badly in need of trimming and re-layering. I'm going to try the place here in our town. Want to find someone that will be there the next time I need a haircut. Seems like they move around so much at some of the shops I've been to.
Have Turkey Pot Pies in the oven for supper. Dave is laying down right now. He was pretty tired out after rehab today.
Enjoy your evening. bettyj

Betty, you are smart to get to the doctor right away. Who knows how long the office will be closed for the holidays. I love my PCP office, they leave time open for ill people, never book all day. Any time I have called in the AM for an appointment, am in that day. Also, have had RX's called in on Saturday and Sunday, they answer calls themselves, no answering service.
Our summer weather went away today, only in the 60's and gloomy. But it will be good for Christmas, back to the 70's and sunshine. I don't know how you in the cold take it. I have been seeing the snow and temps, brrr.
I was going to the same hairdresser for years, but she has gotten so popular that I have to make an appointment 2 months in advance. I found another lady in the same shop that is just as good and my friends like the way she cuts my hair better. I can call a couple of days ahead of time and get in to see her.
Cardiac rehab is tiring, they slowly up the exercises. It's good for his heart. The only one I didn't like was the treadmill, read on it so the time would go faster. I'm just sorry you have sit there and wait. I was still working and it was right after work, I got off at 2 or something like that and rehab was at 3.
Ladies, and Art if you drop in, Wednesday is the shortest daylight hours of the year and then we start getting more daylight every day!!! One thing I do for the first day of every season, just a silly thing, put a nice dish towel on your counter and you can stand an egg on end, fat end. Has to do with the moon or sun or something. Fun for grands.

Hope you get to see your dr. They go on vacation and travel. Good to get that that infection knocked down fast. Our living trust will take two extra weeks because they close for holidays week and a half. That quilt sounds like it is coming along.
hope your weather easier up. Sure has looked nasty.looks like rain Christmas Eve here.
i have been lucky up until Sat. Night. First seasonal migraine hit along with the seasonal air pollution. Sunday was ok, but I got to coughing every time I slid down the pillows last night and was awake a lot in spite of drinking hot stuff to clear it out. Took a half pill at 3 and woke up with the headache at 11 AM, which kind of shot half a day.
got to grocery and pet food stores, made the new recipe for cherry chocolate chips...good, kind of crusty sugary top, but I am going to ha echo farm some out..got 4 dozen with teaspoon of butter in each. We have been eating German bakery goodies. Got to knock that off!

Actually pretty good that I have to sit and wait during rehab. Otherwise I would try to be finding something to do at home like cleaning or just things to keep busy. This way I have to sit and relax and read during the hour he's at rehab. The bad part for me is the driving all the time. Seems like that's all I do is drive. Lin, hope you're feeling better. I've never had a migraine but from what I've heard they are very painful. Hard to function with something like that.
