Becky, I am glad your phone is ringing now. Iggy and I both have clicked that button inadvertently. I also had one of those cases that was nearly impossible to get off. The new phone is the 11. I am liking the face unlock more and more. With the fingerprint unlock if your finger was damp it wouldn’t work. We are going to have a rainy Halloween 🎃 and we have a freeze watch for Thursday night.
Linda, our landline was also through cable and we decided to get rid of it because all we got were robocalls and doctor’s office reminders. I am glad everything is done with the garage door. That battery came in handy when we lost power in February. I’m glad everything is okay with your insurance. I am also amazed that you still have Radio Shack. We have to go to Best Buy for all our wires etc.
Kathy, countdown to party time! I love the flamingle. That’s great that your NE relatives can make it down for the weekend. It should be a great time. Well, not for nuttin, as we used to say in da Bronx, I hope the Bungles beat the Dolphins in December.
Karen, ouch on the stitch in the mouth. I hope you were able to sleep. You are more stoic than I. I would be seriously annoyed with my dentist. Will he take the stitch out when you get the permanent crown? Sorry about the Astros losing. How did the Lady Vols do? I haven’t tried the honey bread or the cinnamon raisin. I guess if I try it, I will make sure I have fresh raisins. Happy 2nd Gotcha Anniversary to you, Dale and Arya.
Liz, how was PT?
Well, it’s early but Iggy is awake, so I had better get the morning routine rolling. We are both larks. Have a good one.

Good Evening Chicks and thanks for the start Chele. Must be a busy day for everyone if I am posting first after Chele. The telecommuting clearance letter came through and I sent it on to all appropriate people. Seems pretty silly now as it's taken them over 2 weeks to get it arranged. Love everyone's new avatars!! Chele - good luck with the iPhone 11 and I will look forward to your review after having it awhile. I think we will probably drop our landline for the same reason since it's connected now to cable. Years ago when the blackout happened in NYC; we had phone service since we were with ATT and the cell towers went down. Happy almost Halloween! It's been rainy and misty and yucky like my mood today:-[ . Kathy - woohoo on the big weekend and celebration coming! I'm sure it will be quite a festive time for DM and the family! Here's hoping the weather cooperates as well to make things even more enjoyable. Linda - wow on all the techie efforts you put forth on the home front. I'm still trying to figure out how to use my dvd player since we got the new cable box. Happy that no one had absconded with your insurance but what pain with all the phone calls. I feel like that with all the emails about the telecommuting and I still didn't have the accesses I needed as of this afternoon. Becky - your on a definite weather roller coaster. Each time I think mother nature is going to calm down and be consistent for you; she goes haywire all over again. PT was good but tiring. The tech took me up to 2 lb. ankle weights from .5 lb. to challenge me! It worked!! But I am getting stronger and better able to walk on flat surfaces without the cane. Karen - OUCH on the mouth and the nick. I hope the Anbesol and liquids are helping with an already difficult procedure for the crown. Good job on getting all those groceries in and done. I did grocery shopping after PT yesterday which was more than I have done so far. I didn't get a complete order but did manage pretty well. How are the knees doing? This weather is not conducive to bad joints so it's been challenging. I think my right hip and knee are more painful right now than the left . Congrats on the 2 year gotcha for Arya. It was hard for me to believe it was a year in September for Wally. I had him to the vet on Monday with bad eyes and conjunctivitis. Trying to get ointment into each eye 3 times a day is beyond challenging. I hope you all have a nice evening; ciao for now~

Thanks for the start, Chele. Your poor Trick or Treaters will be even colder than Becky's. Have you pulled out all your veggie plants with the freeze coming? Definitely get fresh raisins if you make the cinnamon raisin bread. Dale ate that for several years until he decided to switch to the honey bread and it likes it really well. The Lady Vols won, but only by 70-44. They have scored over 100 points in each of their previous 2 scrimmage games. Hoping the Astros will come through tonight. I slept ok after painting up the stitch with Anbesol. The stitch doesn't hurt, but where the shots were placed sure does. It hurts to open my mouth too wide. The stitch just feels weird. I was a little miffed when it happened but the dentist was very apologetic and I could tell he felt very badly about it happening. So I decided to just mellow out about it. They called today to get me set up to have the stitch taken out tomorrow morning. I guess you and Kathy will both be glued to your TVs for that Bengals-Dolphins matchup.
Becky, I wish the game last night had been a nail biter and I'm a bit concerned about tonight's game. I don't think they are getting their money's worth out of the guy who is pitching tonight. He hasn't been that impressive, but they paid a lot for him. It would be awful for the Astros to lose the World Series by losing every home game. Fingers crossed that tonight will surprise me. I'm fortunate that my Moto does not also require a pass code. I know the cold air is coming our direction from your direction, but you sound downright cold for this time of year. The 40s is going to be really cold for those poor Trick or Treaters.
When do you start the telecommute, Liz? It certainly took them long enough to approve it! I hope you can read my avatar. It's SO 21st Century. One person on the website I pulled it from essentially said beggars can't be choosers. Good job on getting some of the grocery shopping done after PT. Knees are doing pretty well this week, but I haven't done my hilly neighborhood hike this week either. That has to be what's causing so much pain of late. I need to find some flatter surfaces. Your weather has to be causing you a great deal of discomfort. Oh no on poor Wally's eyes. Is conjunctivitis in dogs contagious like it is in people? If so, I hope Zoe doesn't get it, too. I also forgot Wally has been with you a year. I can't imagine trying to get eye drops into Arya's eyes. Can you make it into a game or a cuddling session so he'll be more relaxed for it?
I did the treadmill for about half an hour this morning, as I still wasn't feeling that great. I made applesauce and tofu because they are more comfortable to eat right now. I also had some potato gnocchi for lunch and that worked pretty well. It will help to get the stitch out tomorrow, but I'll have to wait til the jaw soreness fades to go back to eating a regular diet. I'm getting in my fiber and most of my protein, so I'm ok with that. We have had a good bit of rain today and it was raining on my trip to and from picking up the CSA order. I got two HUGE heads of bok choy (I was expecting one) and they included a big bag of collard greens free, so I'll be eating my greens this week. Haven't figured out what I'm going to do with the collards, but I have several ideas on how I'll use the bok choy. Hopefully Dale will help me. We are expecting more rain tomorrow, so I'll have a wet trip to Osteo.
Waving to Kathy and Linda!

Thanks for the start Chele.I could never get the hang of the fingerprint unlock.I really do like the facial unlock though. It was supposed to rain here today and tonight but so far just drizzle thank goodness because it has been windy, cloudy and chilly. The high was 47 but the wind chill made it feel like the 30's.In one month's time we have hit a record high and now a record low.
Liz I'm glad you finally got the telecommuting letter.I am glad you are getting stronger.I'm sure the 2 lb weight was challenging.
Karen We aren't under a freeze warning tonight but Williamson County is.It's supposed to be cold tomorrow and Friday and then nice for the weekend in the 60's I think. The pitcher seems to be doing well tonight even though it's only 1-0 so far. They seemed to start out on fire but now it's calmed down.
