Good morning chicks and thanks for the hopping good start Chele. Belated Happy Halloween to all!
Chele - It was warm, raining and misty here for most of the day yesterday. No kids in the neighborhood anymore so no trick or treaters. I was sore on Tus. and Wed. as well as yesterday after another PT session. I actually took meloxicam last night as I was very uncomfortable after PT and a quick trip to the grocery store. I was chuckling over the Halloween ditty; we sing that every year at some point around Halloween .
Linda = sounds like you were busy with the trick or treats groups. Hope the sinuses are better today. How lovely that you were able to share your tale t with the painting of the pet that passed! The basset hounds picture was adorable.
Kathy - safe travels and good luck with the festivities for the big weekend! Hopefully the weather will blow through and cooperate.
Becky - hope that making the change from Dish to DTV works out well for you. Losing signals is a pain in the tush especially with the cost. Any plans for the weekend?
Karen - how is the mouth today now that the stitch is out? How in heaven's name were they off by 1/2" I hope the weather calmed down for you; you had one heck of a time with driving and the power being out yesterday! Was watching the weather channel trying to keep an eye on your area. Wally's eyes are doing better thanks but still not healed. Will get him back to the vet early next week. PT is challenging but good. I have to o into the city this coming Wed. for an 8:am meeting with senior management. Will take the train, take a cab back and forth to GC and get myself home. Started to telecommute this morning after going crazy trying to get things set up.
Need to go now chicks but stay safe and have a good day! Ciao for now~

Chele, thanks for the rabbit rabbit rabbit start!
Just popping in quickly since I'm still trying to get everything packed and may not get a chance to post this weekend. I just checked the forecast and it says a low of 61 for Saturday night and high of 79 for Sunday so looks like our fall is finally here. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Thanks for the Rabbit, Rabbit, Rabbit start, Chele. I keep forgetting about that. How many trick or treaters did you have? Did your nasty weather move out ahead of their arrival?
Linda, I think I remember Elayne. It's so awesome that you have the talent to be able to do something that means so much. Yes, it's THAT weekend. I wonder if we would be better to stay under daylight or standard time, if we had to pick one. You had a lot of kids last night for as cold as it was there.
Good luck with the event this weekend, Kathy.
Liz, I have no clue how the impression was 1/2" off. With the small size of teeth, that sounds like a lot to me. Mouth is feeling much better but the jaw where the numbing shots were given is still sore enough that I can't open my mouth all the way without pain. Hopefully they will be having a better day on Tuesday. Dale said from now on if they are running behind, we just need to reschedule. We definitely got into the 30s over night and the rain and wind has moved out but not the cloudy skies. Heat has been kicking on since the middle of the night. Dale and Arya were able to take a woods walk this morning and they checked my mushroom patches and I guess I will be busy picking mushrooms this afternoon. I have a little respiratory thing that started yesterday (just weather related, I hope), so I will have to be sure to cover my face to keep my lungs warm. I'm glad the telecommute has finally been settled, but sorry you will have to go into the city on Wednesday. I guess that will give you an idea how close you are to being able to return. Will you be able to come home after the meeting or will you spend the day? Glad Wally is improving and hope he'll be well by his appointment next week.
Got a couple loads of my "going out of the house" clothes washed and dried this morning. I was running out of undies. I guess I've been out of the house a lot more than usual lately.
Waving to Becky!

Karen, hope that respiratory thing goes away, the mouth is bad enough.

Gee, everyone is early today. I have had a busy morning getting a lot of steps in, going to the credit union and prepping dinner. I thought chopping shallots would be less painful to my eyes than yellow onions. Was I wrong! My eyes are still burning and tearing up and it has been at least an hour and a half. We are going down to Cincinnati tomorrow to see Iggy’s older cousin who is very ill. Her niece says she may not be around much longer. Sunday we are going to lunch at DN#2’s house. Baby cuddling time! My brother’s youngest leaves Sunday for Japan. He is going to teach English. DB is really going to miss his “mini me.” They have the same interests and do so much together. His eldest son is more of a loner but DB did his best to develop shared interests. I vote for standard time, because I am a lark and prefer morning sunshine.
Liz, ouch on the sore muscles. I hope your trip into the city is physically uneventful and that St Crazy doesn’t have you screaming all the way home. Sorry Wally’s eyes are still bothering him. I hope he heals soon. For some reason I remembered that Halloween poem this year. My brain has been dragging out old memories lately and I have been doing a lot of dreaming about former acquaintances. I don’t know what triggered all that.
Karen, good advice from Dale on rescheduling when the dentist staff are running behind. Weird how they could get the mold so wrong and the temp cap so loose. I hope your mouth recovers before Tuesday. I guess it is mushroom hunting season at the lake compound. Good thing you had your trusty mushroom hound and the keeper of the hound to spot them for you. Iggy thinks I am crazy for having “home” clothes and “going out in public” clothes. He’s lucky I don't wear an old fashioned housecoat. I hope your respiratory thing is weather related and not more serious. What did you take for it? We only had 5 kids. Good thing I only bought one small bag of candy. I told Iggy to tale the leftovers to work.
Becky, I hope DTV works out better for you. Losing coverage during the rain is one reason Iggy did not want satellite. It certainly is a lot more budget friendly.
Kathy, I hope the party and the family weekend are a great success and something you will all remember. When I was a kid the Kokomo family would have a family reunion every summer. I loved them.
Linda, I would have loved to see the bagpiper. You were certainly busy with the kids last night. Is Micki exhausted from his barkathon? I am sure Elayne loves her painting. It must be nice to have a talent that brings so much joy to people.

Linda, high 60s is still a little chilly for your area. I have to wonder if the respiratory thing is in any way connected to the dentist's office. The bagpiper was a pretty unique thing for Halloween. Does he do that at other times as well?
Get those steps in, Chele. Sorry to hear about Iggy's Cincy cousin. Probably a good time to visit. Enjoy the baby on Sunday. You are going to have a busy weekend. Good luck to DN going to Japan. A friend of mine taught English in China for about 5 years and enjoyed it. He worked for EF Education, which is based in the US but seems to be everywhere. What a coincidence that your nephew is going to Japan to work and Kathy's nephew went there on vacation earlier this year. Where will your nephew be based? Any idea how long he'll be working there? Wonder why you are having old acquaintance dreams. Hmmmmm....The rain last week brought the mushrooms out. I'm not sure Arya even realizes they are there. I keep records and some of the logs that put out mushrooms are over 4 years old (3 to 5 years is usually the life cycle). I collected a little over 4 lbs and had some for lunch today that needed to be eaten right away. They were good. Nothing like a mushroom fresh from the log. Most of the stuff I wear at home I wouldn't be caught dead in outside. No housecoats, but lots of sweats and shorts with scrub tops. Respiratory issue might be a touch better. I'm using the neti pot a couple of times a day and taking echinacea with golden seal, chelated zinc, and extra vitamin C. Plus I'm taking elderberry tincture 2-3 times a day (I usually only do it once), and drinking hot liquids like teas and apple cider. I made sure to keep my mouth and nose while I was in the woods picking mushrooms. I'm glad you didn't buy much candy and that Iggy took the rest of it to work. I wonder how many of his co-workers did the same thing. One year I got a roll of quarters and just gave out quarters instead of candy. I still had most of the roll left at the end of the night.

Boy, those mushrooms look good, Karen. I knew you would be using your herbs and tinctures. You know I think you might be right about the dental procedures and mishaps affecting your respiration. I wear workout clothes at home most of the time but they are aging and misshapen. Today I left on my jeans and nice long sleeved T shirt. DN will be in Japan for at least a year but I am not sure what area. DB and DSIL are going to visit in the spring.

Thanks for the start Chele.
Liz I'm sorry you were so uncomfortable after PT.I hope the change to DTV helps too.At least it will help with the price. We are paying $12 on Dish for 4 local channels and DTV is including them in the price they offered us.It will be more expensive the first month but after that it will be more reasonable. No plans for the weekend.
Kathy It sounds like wonderful weather for the party.Hope it goes well.
We got down to 27 this morning and ABIA in Austin hit a record low of 25.It has warmed up nicely to 62.I think they said our low in the morning will be 38 so that will be better.
Chele Busy weekend planned for you and Iggy.I hope he gets to see his cousin.Wishes for safe travels and have fun cuddling the baby.Unfortunately when you live out in the sticks satellite is the only thing you can get for TV and internet.
Karen I hope you feel better soon.
