Day 2 – Pick Two Reasonable Diets
Beck wants you to pick two diets that you would be willing to follow, one is the one you’ll follow and the other is a back-up in case the first one doesn’t work out. These are her guidelines for a “doable diet:”
Diet should be healthy.
Choose a diet that includes food you like and can easily prepare.
Choose a diet that’s flexible.
Choose a diet that allows you to budget for indulgences.
Share your diet choices with us and why you made the choices.

Right now I am counting calories. When the new programs come out for WW I will try the Green plan (a new Beyond the Scale). I stopped tracking on Free Style over a year ago and went to calorie counting because I couldn't handle food that didn't have numbers attached to it. I adjusted to the free fruit on Points Plus but Free Style frustrated me. I might try the Purple plan (new Simply Filling) later. Oh, I will double track WW and calorie counting. Edit or delete this

PointsPlus for life! Calories second choice.
Diet should be healthy. The GHG's make it healthy. And the free fruits/veggies make me eat them!
Choose a diet that includes food you like and can easily prepare. Because it's real food, and any kind I like, I get to decide how much preparing/cooking I want to do. If I don't want to chop veggies, I can buy a veggie tray.
Choose a diet that’s flexible. So flexible. Dining out is covered too! Plus the weeklies make it way more flexible than calories you're not supposed to go over.
Choose a diet that allows you to budget for indulgences. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ This! This! This! This is why PointsPlus works better than anything. Birthdays have cake. Halloween has candy. This is the real world.

I'm off WW for now. I'm tired of paying every month and not applying the program. I've been struggling with this 5 lbs. ever since Freestyle debuted. Too nebulous for me. I'm currently using NOOM (Free trial) and MFP. I am enjoying the way they are applying CBT. Basically the same principles as Beck but incorporating calorie limits for certain food groups. I plan to continue using this until I get back to goal and can use WW for free again. So far I'm finding it really flexible and the app is fun. This is only week two so we will see if it makes any difference where it counts; in my head. Noom would not have made a bit of sense to me without the Beck so, thank you bbbearsmom, for all of your hard work.

I count calories because I'm used to it, I know the calorie counts for many things, I can look up counts on the internet, and it works for me.

Beck says we aren't supposed to actually start our diets until Day 15, which happens to occur during the week of Nov 11 when the new plans are released. So I will be starting on the new 30-point green 💚 plan. In the meantime, I am following the old 2016 Beyond the Scale. I have all the old 2016 materials and the 2016 smart points calculator which gives me all the info I need.
As an alternate plan, I will try the new version of Simply Filling, the 16-point purple 💜 plan.

Points Plus is my go to plan, but if I had to choose another, I'd just count calories with MFP.
