OY VEY - It IS Monday right??? I mean, already? Seriously?Ugghhh.... didn't sleep well - not surprised. Woke up around 12:15, at 12:30 I hear Zoë coughing, and sounded "off" so I got up to check - she had been sick! Soooo, washed her up, changed her jammies, changed the bed... Climbed into bed at 1 and she and Ken were back out like a light - me Not.So.much.!Moved her to her own bed - then still awake at 2 so went and checked on her - poor kid hadn't moved! She was still breathing... but had not moved an inch! I dozed off and on the rest of the morning - but UGH, Just don't want to do it today!! But this is me - DOIN' IT!
SO today = MOVE IT MODAY... who can do what to MOVE it more today??? I know most of you all do plenty of MOVING on any given day - So I think I am the only slug here that doesn't get my steps each day... hey I got over 7k yesterday! Without even going to WAl-Mart! LOL I decided I wanted the day home - and wanted to be productive... sooooooo, my dining room is organized - the table is still cluttered, but the SPACE is cleaned up and moved around - and NICE! I also purged the front hall closet - donating 3 winter coats, a few spring summer ones... some hats, mittens, gloves and scarves. I also have a trash bag full of coats that I don't want to donate - as they are EMT/MEDIC/FIRE... SOMETHING... that I just don't want to donate for "just anyone" to wear. Oh and I have 3 coats to send to the fire station - for someone else to be able to use - If.They.Wish! So that emptied a tote - I had been keeping old coats for the day that I may get back into them - or IF I decide I want it again... nope - done - IF I need a new one I will get one! It also freed up space on the hanging rod... so now I can actually fit my (extra) stacking chairs IN the darned closet! NOW when we have a gathering we can pull them out - but otherwise they are out-of-sight, out-of-mind! That cleared a "space" in the room... makes it LOOK less cluttered and cramped! I was able to move my desk to the other wall - (more practical) - and just less "congested"!
LOL Of course the entry way is now a cluttered mess - until the bags of donations get out of here... oh and a desk that Tracy is taking to put on Matt's lawn (FREE) - hoping someone "needs" it!
Finally got Ken to re-hang the medicine cabinet...still not done from when I painted the front bathroom! My fault - I was going to re-paint the cabinet, but yesterday I decided to heck with it... just scrubbed it up good and it's fine... now to get another BOX emptied... a box of stuff that came out of the cabinet before painting. Then to get Tracy's "camper" stuff out of the entryway - and it will once again be the open "welcoming" space it is intended to be!
I also got the dishes done up and the laundry DONE... can see the bottom of the hamper!! LOL That's a good feeling... only 1 load to hang/fold from the dryer... oh and then flip the load I just started - the sheets. etc. from Zoë's bed! Oh well... had to be done.
Meanwhile - I need to grab more coffee... and see what I can pack for lunch - be back in a bit.

Good Morning ~ woke early today as I'm still on the Spring clock - my mind woke up but my body said, grrrroan....lol Today is Day 1 of Teacher/Parent Conferences from 12:00 - 8:00pm. I'll go in late this morning and stay until 8:00 then work a normal day tomorrow. It's always busy for me when parents are in the building but this year with the classrooms in the other wing I would have to hustle over there from my office....hmmm...maybe I'll set up somewhere else closer to the classrooms?? I do have a 2:30 Team meeting at the same private school where Carly works! One of our students (autistic) attends her school and today is the meeting to plan a least restrictive placement. Carly knows the student and hopes I pop in the classroom if allowed Yesterday was a GOOD day!! I didn't leave as early as hoped due to last minute laundry, dinner prep, cleaning...but I timed it well as the snow had moved out - once I neared Lindsey's area it was SUNNY all the way! Felt so good to see sunshine and feel 40's near 50 degrees. We had a great visit - did some shopping - and had lunch at a popular place to see the Steelers' game and have a beer I drove Linds back to her apartment - ehh, a little 'senioritis' there as she is grumpy with the roommates, other than that she is doing well. She has a skype interview for an internship this Friday and is waiting to hear back from another agency. She's getting nervous about landing a position for next semester...once she has something secured, we will dive into the Grad school plan. Feeling a little better each day. My voice was still raspy and near gone yesterday. Hopefully today it's better. I'm meeting Cheryl for breakfast/coffee around 8:00 then will pop in my audiologist's office for hearing aids check, then head into work.

Christine: Saw the lovely photo of you and your girl yesterday - so glad you got some time to go see her!! Were you able to get some shopping done as well??? Bet Linds was able to give you some ideas for Christmas gifts! LOL
Sue: Oh dear.... hopefully the BF was not a problem at the soccer game... poor Colton, to have to worry about his mother's outbursts AND the new BF being there!! Hopefully Josh was able to make things as comfortable as possible!
Glad they are both doing OK after the accident... and YAY for you having the extra car until insurance decides what they will do!
HA! I was just saying yesterday - by my taking out part of the DR/LR wall - I took away one of the corners we used to use for the tree! Oh well, I guess we will figure it out!
LOL I guess we all have that "space" where stuff just gets tossed!!
I do so still want a pot roast... guess that will be on my list for next week shopping!
My Wal-Mart and Aldi's run will be Saturday... since I missed the used clothing sale I also want to hit the Salvation Army down there... might find some deals for the girls.

Mornin' Christine... I see the sun is starting to poke through here this morning... just don't like the early "nighttime" ahead!
Good luck today as you find a space you can set up closer to the classrooms! Oh FIELD TRIP... LOL... hope you get to see your Carly in action today ! ♥
Yikes, "senioritis"... poor kid, going to be a long semester! Oh good luck to her with her interviews... YAY for sunshine and warmth!! We had sunshine but COLD... still kind of windy out here too!
OK Must get moving... another long week ahead, but going in Saturday did help... a little of the pressure is off - and I need Amanda's input on my outage... I will (of course) go through Crystal - but let's face it she won't have a clue... so I will ask for Amanda's input! Meanwhile Debbie's work must get done!
Will try to MOVE IT MONDAY... but we all knw how that will most likely go! UGH!!
♥hugs♥

OK Carole...now I see...my DSS only had chemo through her port once a week and then had oral chemo the rest of the week so she didn't need to stay. She went over to Hershey which from her house was about an hour and a half. If Matt has to have it several days in a row it makes sense to go over and stay there. I will just thinking about Deb's protocol/timing. Dad's treatments were similar to Deb's too so I guess that was what I was thinking Matt would do. When Dad had is radiation, it was only 20 minutes from the house so he would go and come home each time....he had that several days in a row but the chemo was the same as Deb....one day in the port, rest were oral so he took them at home.
Oh Carole...I knew the SS would come on a Wednesday day but I figured with my birthday being the 2nd and Jason the 25th I would get mine early in the month and he would get his a couple weeks later....spreading them out!
Glad your couple hours yesterday was productive for your...sounds like another few hours maybe next Saturday you should be able to knock them all out and get caught up. 12 days is a pretty big "dent" in the back log!! Sorry the pellet stove doesn't seem to be working properly, especially since the guy was just there.
Question Carole....does Matt have and iPhone or iPad that IF Zoe can't come and be near him they can at least visit and "play" on that....I know Shea would play games with the boys when he was deployed.....they would set it up and Hannah would move Shea's piece for him. Shea would also read books to them....Hannah would hold it up and Shea would read it so that the boys could see the pictures and still have daddy read to them at night...... Have to laugh...Jason is getting his shoes on now and before he does, he rolled his Thieves roller on the bottom of his feet.....told him to do it morning and night to help boost his immune system....guess the wellness roller helped him enough to convince him to give it a chance.
Yes, the 3 year colonoscopy is not a bad thing....best to be proactive and not take any chances. Hope HR can get you some satisfaction with this darn sleep study....still can't believe your consult is pushed over two months....that's CRAP!!
Thanks for starting us off Christine...yes, sensible and smart....good themes to live by. Glad no snow for you today...it's so breezy here this morning we didn't even have frost despite the cold temps. We had it yesterday but the air was still. Drive carefully today....yes, some areas/roads are scary with a little snow! I'm sure Linds will be glad to see you! It will be fun just to have some 1 on 1 time with your baby girl!
Oh I get it Christine...I get so tired of making the same thing over and over....always nice to get a suggestion from someone in the house! Enchiladas are good as leftovers too...I haven't made those in a while, might need to make them soon! WOW, Linds remembers the accident like it was yesterday, eh?? She really was lucky to walk away from that accident....the scene looked like she should have been hurt! Sarah and Josh's van is a 2015 so not sure how the insurance company will go.....Honda's hold their value pretty well but.....guess we'll know soon enough!?!?!
Sounds like the removal of the trees at DM's place really will make a difference. Glad DB was there helping to clean up the yard for her. Yes, it does make us sad to hear our parent's talk of feeling weak. While I don't think your DM has Rheumatoid arthritis, I know how she feels in the morning....I have noticed the past few years already that it takes a bit for the stiffness of sleeping wears off. It is OK for her to slow down but she can "STOP"....that is what my DM did and you see how that played out.....the thing for your DM is to keep her moving and a walker would be a good thing for stability, especially 1st thing in the morning. Once she's up and moving, you may be able to use a cane the rest of the day but at night and 1st thing in the morning until things "loosen up" the walker would definitely be a more stable support for her.
LOL Carole....no, none of us can afford two lazy days in a row...as much as we would like to....once we are retired, we CAN have two lazy days in a row! Once I get moving, I can be productive and nothing is that hard to do....it will just make me feel more organized and the house look a little more "in order"... I'm with you, no one wants to DO the work but we all still want it DONE....problem is, we have to do it, it doesn't do itself! LOL!
Carole....I throw a whole frozen chicken in the crockpot in the morning before leaving for work and it's done when I get home from work....I do the same thing with a frozen pot roast.....I rarely thaw them for the crockpot! Thanks for the reminder to get the laundry going....first thing I'm going to do is take the T-shirt sheets off the bed and make the switch to flannel...it's that time of year! Ah yes, don't want to be without the coffee pot....make sure to have that replacement for the morning you wake up and the old one has died on you!!
Time to get moving...been stalling long enough! Jason will soon be out of my way so I can get into the kitchen and prep the onions since they are the first thing to put in the pot.... He's emptying the dishwasher now so don't want to stop that! One less chore I need to finish!
Will pop in later....waves Jenny, Lisa, Gabrielle and Shelly....hope all are well!

Good morning!
It is great to be back among the living and (hopefully) on to a "normal" path of days here....wow, what a LONG few weeks. I did post on FB so that people would know that DH did finish the 100 miler. I feel like it is also important to know that it was 12,000 feet of climbing. Can you imagine? Where we live there are huge, deep canyons and they did a lot of that in the middle part of it. I am so proud of him and he is SO sore. I need to read more to see what I can do to support him. I got to run in the last two miles with him (well, jog and fast walk) and he was always such a good sport--I have to say that, working crewing him and helping at an aid station at mile 67 gave me a glimpse of some of the "personalities" of the runners. I don't care how tired and sore you are, there are people who are just plain mean people--yelling at their pacers, demanding things...yikes. Thankfully, it is the minority but they are hard to forget! DH is such a kind person and I am SO glad for that! I did get my mani/pedi yesterday (as planned) in the late afternoon. Slept for about 20 min from Sat-Sun and about 45 min before my mani-pedi so I was beat. Went to bed early last night and will make up for the sleep by getting to bed on time this week. Thank goodness for that extra hour moving the clocks back. Oh, and I still need to toss a TON of food from the freezer from the week-long power outage. I don't even want to think of the cost.
Carole: Oh man, I remember the days of waking up in the middle of the night to a sick child! How is she feeling now? Just a one-time stomach thing? Hope that you don't get it too. Thinking about Matt's treatment....we have a local cancer center where patients are prescribed their chemo from their oncologist (who can be as far away as SF) but they ADMINISTER the meds locally so that the patients can go home at night. I think that radiation is different though--has to be at the location. Just wondering about options like that? It might be so specialized that it doesn't matter. Wow, if DS25 was still at Mass Gen I would ask him some questions to try to help As someone said already (maybe Christine), so glad that they are thorough, doing their homework, and can feel settled once they decide what to do. Yum, your conversation about stew, etc. makes me yearn for those warm winter meals! Time for soup! Love reading about how you are cleaning stuff out and feeling less cluttered. Now that I am home and have electricity I think that I can deal with the same around here too. Glad that your time on Saturday will offset some of the stress from today. Can you remind me, do people at your work know about Matt? Hoping people can step and help you as needed....

Christine: Yay for a later start (but bummer about the late night)...I do love though that your school is working to accommodate families who have to work and can't get the time (or will lose pay) to attend their child's conference. Sounds like a nice morning for you! Hope that you can figure out a way to be easily on hand for conferences without running back and forth...is it raining? That would make it even worse! Loved seeing the pic of you and Linds--nice that you made the trip! I need to work in a trip to see Max in OR this Spring---kind of costly (and the drive is super long so most likely would fly) but so much fun to see our kids that way. Hope that you can see Carly "in her element" at her school! Did I tell you that I am guiding a visually impaired runner in the marathon in December? It is the one I have run multiple times but didn't want to do it so soon after Marine Corps. I kept encountering this visually impaired runner (with his guide) on my morning runs and he struck up a conversation with me one day and now I am signed up. He is going to "train" me on a run with him next Monday morning (Veteran's Day). I am excited to do it, but don't want to mess up!! I am sorry to hear about your mom and love Gary's idea though. I wonder if you posed it as, "only in the morning until 10:00 am when you feel a bit looser" she would consider it? So much easier that two canes (which are kind of the same thing in a way). Glad that her yard is looking better though. Does she have a window where she can sit and enjoy it? Hope that you have a good day today!
Sue: Oh, I was so sorry to read about Sarah and Josh's accident! How frightening for all of you! Thank goodness they are young and can "bounce back" physically and that you have an extra vehicle to hold the family. How did the game go with the BF? I was actually thinking that Amanda would be better-behaved in front of him. I agree with your input in terms of Sarah/Josh's nervousness about meeting him--let it happen as it will. Glad that he is showing support by going to Colton's game and hope that it is a good sign for Colton's sake. Happy birthday to Hannah! Even after knowing you all of these years, every year I am surprised to find out that Sarah and Hannah are not twins. Early on I convinced myself that they were since they looked so much alike and now I challenge my brain with it all of the time. Hey, I am sure that Sarah is glad that you don't call her every year at 2:00 am!! Hope that you have a good day---roast sounds so good! You add brussells sprouts to your stew? I have never done that! Think I will be roasting veggies tonight for dinner though with some kind of meat...hope that you have a good day.

Lisa: So, do you have an idea of how many weeks of work you still have? Wondering if you will get some weeks off around the holidays (that would be nice!) How is Greg feeling as the weather cools? Sometimes those joint issues creep up this time of year....hope that you have a good week this week and coworkers are NICE.
Jenny: How are you doing now? Hopefully Diane is working through her "grouchiness"--sounds like a very unhappy person overall. Hoping that Kerry is feeling okay too. Does Audrey know about it all? That can be emotionally draining too when you worry about the kids' reaction. Hugs to you and hoping for a good week for you.
Shelly: How are you doing? I'll bet you are busy changing displays, etc. at the store--busy time of year.
Okay, need to get going...full day of meetings. The good news is that this Thurs/Fri are the LAST two state meetings I am running---my year of chairing that committee is up in January. I am SO glad! I do have to stay overnight on Thursday--it is about 2 hours away and Thurs we have meetings through dinner and then start at 8:30 am on Fri so it doesn't make sense to drive home. Hope that DH is feeling a bit better by then....okay, need to get a move on. Have a good day, ladies!!

Hey hey everyone I’m so lost without you!!!! Not sure when the last time I was here but my BIL is here and this is his last night so not going to be her but a minute. Sorry no catching up. Just wanted to stop in and say hi!!! Also my parents came down yesterday to bring a old tractor my husband bought while we was in vacation from Wy. It was good to see them again. I swear my mom has the worst luck. When they got home mom was getting out of the pickup and missed the step and broke her ankle bad. They can’t do surgery until the blood thinners are out of her system. So probably not before Wednesday!!! Anyway I hope she gets along ok. She’s is diabetic and having problems with getting blood sugar under control and her blood pressure has been bad so I’m worried about her. You might keep her in your prayers. So here is a pic of the tractor DH bought . I didn’t know it but he’s always wanted one because his granddad had one so guess I’m happy he got it. Sorry I can’t stay on and catch up tonight but will hopefully check in tomorrow. Talk soon
