Welcome to the CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend still least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning,
Never got a chance to post yesterday. Went to church with DB and DSIL, went to breakfast afterwards. Then I watched the Bills game. They won, we’re 6-2, best start in 25 years. Still a work in progress, but when they look good they really look good.
I did some CBing in the basement, seeing nice progress there. Will continue to focus there the next few weeks. I’m starting to look at how I want to organize everything that’s left once the initial decluttering is done.
Ruth- hoping Stan is out of aFib today. I don’t know much about it, but it sounds like it really drains him. Sounds like you will be looking for a new cleaner. The one you have obviously doesn’t understand about dust allergies. Sounds like you have a busy week ahead. Keep on the clinic about the machines you should use at the Y. I’m sure they want you to keep coming to them for PT, but .... One of the women in my class does her PT at the Y. She worked with a trainer for a while, showed him the routine she was using and he adapted them to the Y. Hope you can figure something out.
Dottie- nice to hear your vacation is going well.
Ruth - the Sabres are on a losing streak now after a good start. Fans are already jumping off the bandwagon. It doesn’t take much. Hope both of our teams start winning again.
See ya tomorrow

Good afternoon (just)! Laundry is going, ours and then I’ll start on the 2 baskets full that DS sent home yesterday. I sorted it in the garage and pulled out everything I could identify as Mara’s out and will do it first! Some of it does smell like cat urine, so will soak it in the stuff I bought before I wash it well. Want to have a bunch of it ready to return to them on Wednesday night when we take Mara to her class. I’m sure there is more for them to get to me. I’m trying to get them all caught up with old laundry, new laundry, and sorting out of stuff Mara and her parents can no longer wear. I can do a lot of it remotely!
DH went out to “change over” the garage this morning. Unfortunately he is still in AFib, so not very organized. And he went out before I was dressed, Mara was playing, and I could not help or input info. I went out to look and could not believe he had just piled everything in the back of the garage. Strollers that should have been closed up and hung were piled with other stuff. A big maternity pillow is just sitting on top of a hairy dog bed (which we aren’t using and should have been tossed); and I need to wash the pillow cover and then spray the pillow. So I will be going out and slowly working on fixing the pile!!!
The “device” that they promised Stan a couple weeks ago to monitor his afib 24/7 finally came this morning. Once Mara is in bed I will help Stan figure it out and get it on. He is still in AFib an I have no idea how much longer this session will last. It’s so frustrating. The device uses an android phone to transmit 24/7 to the dr’s office. Not sure whose job it is to keep track of all that info. We’ll see how it goes.
I have my big “to do” list and I’m just getting started on that. Some hardcover books of DH’s (kids have read) to photograph and list. Clear off our little bookshelf. Some paperbacks to list also. I have some shoes to box up and return via USPS. 2nd time I’ve had to return them. I got the wrong size first time, then the wrong width the 2nd. 3rd time’s the charm I hope.
Need to check the dryer, get some lunch, get Mara down for her nap, and work on laundry and the other things on the list.
will try to come back later to chat more!!
