Good luck with the planting, Linda. All DMV pictures look like mug shots.
Glad you enjoyed family time,Kathy.
Just checking in. I have been to Kroger and Meijer getting things on sale that we will need for Thanksgiving. Iggy is making baklava, so we need lots of butter, walnuts, sugar, and phyllo dough-all on sale this week and I had coupons! The phyllo dough is frozen and the butter will keep in the fridge. Fixing lunch and then more errands.
Waving to the rest of the crew. Have a great Tuesday.

Chele, thanks for the start. We don't have any elections in the county for this round, but I verified my info on the county's voter site. The next scheduled election is for the primaries in March. Sounds like a good haul for Thanksgiving. I don't even want to bring it up to DS since I'm sure she's still recovering from all the party activities. Maybe we'll go out this year, lol.
Karen, it really was nice to have family together for a big celebration rather than a sad event. One of my cousins wants to do another party for my NSB aunt's BD in March. All we have to do is show up for that one, so that's fine with me. FSU's interim coach is Odell Haggins. He's a longtime assistant coach and a former player, so they should be in good hands. He was also the interim coach when Jimbo left. I guess we won't have the big showdown between the winless Dolphins and Bungles since the Dolphins finally managed a win. You'll have to post some pictures of your hats.
Linda, that's great on no more eye drops and not needing glasses for Bob's driver's license.
Becky, so sorry to hear about your knee hurting that bad. I hope they can help you out with PT.
Liz, how is the telecommuting going?

Good afternoon chicks and thank you for the start Chele.
Chele - so glad that you enjoyed the weekend and able to hold the baby with eyes open. Nice job on getting the ingredients on sale for the baklava. I stopped into the grocery yesterday after PT and was surprised how many people were there shopping for Thanksgiving items. Telecommuting is going pretty well; I was really busy yesterday and today as well during the morning. We will go to DS's house for Thanksgiving as SM has informed her she will go to our cousin's house.
Kathy - how terrific that things went so well for the weekend and DM's birthday. I'm sure the wash can wait as long as there's something clean to wear .
Linda - nice job on finding the primrose plants and loved the picture of your garden. Wow on those temps going back up again. Hope all goes well with DH and the fix for the eye. I have to make an eye appt. before i go back to work as I think I might need a lens that will handle distance just slightly.
Becky - I am sorry to hear that the knee is hurting that badly! I hope the doctor appointment on Friday will provide some needed information and potential relief. I lived with pain much too long with both hips and it's just not a good thing for anyone. I hope the crazy changes in temperatures settle down. We are in the low 50s with sprinkles this morning and just damp and overcast right now.
Karen - how is the mouth doing? I'm sure your hats will be wonderful! I am trying to keep settled about going in tomorrow for the meeting. The two primary folks I am working with are not real helpful and my VP is even worse. It's difficult to feel confident when people who don't know what they're doing are telling me what to do. I have to get up by 4:am and maybe even earlier so that I can catch a 5:44am train. I will take a cab from Grand Central to the hospital back and forth. Wally is improved but I think he needs more meds. I will see if I can get him in to the vet Thurs. or Friday. Have to cut this short as I am getting emails from work.
Have a safe and good afternoon ladies. Ciao for now~

Thanks for the start, Chele. Are you expecting any wintry weather from the storm currently out west? You really are ahead of the curve on Thanksgiving. Oh, homemade baklava is divine! What's for lunch? I fixed a pot of hot and sour soup last night and had just enough tofu to add for dinner last night, so I have more baking and will have soup for lunch.
Becky, I'm glad your temperatures are becoming a bit more seasonal. I hope it will stay that way and you won't need that heater again any time soon. With as close as we are to NC, we get a lot of Samaritan's Purse requests here. I had forgotten about Franklin Graham being involved. That was such a special comment from your pastor. Were you dressed for the church to be chilly on Sunday? If so, I'm sure it was perhaps more than a wee bit warm to you. Good luck with getting a quick ortho appointment. For you to even consider the thought of a knee replacement, you must have been hurting a lot yesterday. I hope it's somewhat better today. I think being on asphalt is aggravating my knees because I don't have much pain if I'm on the treadmill or dirt trails.
YAY! on no more eye drops, Linda! It will be very strange for Bob, I'm sure, not to need glasses to drive--or for other things as well. It will be different for him to not have to deal with bifocals, too. I hope he didn't have a long line at motor vehicle. Ours has been fairly busy lately because Tennessee is getting a lot of people upgrading to the Real ID, which I know other states have had for a while. I need to get in and get mine done but just haven't had the time. I don't think there is such a thing as a good photo ID on a drivers license. I hope you will get those primroses planted soon. The closet can be done on one of those days that you don't feel like being outdoors.
Liz, I hope tomorrow's commute and meeting will be tolerable and that you'll get a good idea how your recovery is going to get you ready for a full return. You at least have a plan in place for tomorrow, so that's good. That's going to be a very early morning compared to the last couple of months. I would say I'll be thinking of you, but that probably won't happen until my furry alarm clock goes off, which may not be til 6:30 or 7. Sorry you have challenges both up and down the ladder. It's so unfortunate when people just don't seem to be willing to or capable of doing their jobs. How's PT going? I hope you'll be able to get wally in soon so you can get the extra meds he apparently needs.
Are you rested up from the weekend, Kathy? Going in March when all you have to do is show up will be a nice trip to the beach. Is the laundry finished? When will you do the grocery run? Will DM be going, since it sounds like she may have company? Are DM and the aunts planning any upcoming trips? It's good that FSU has an interim that people trust. I didn't realize this was only Taggart's 2nd season. They sure didn't give him much time.
I got the second impression made at the dentist this morning and that apparently is what has been making my jaw hurt. The tech held the gizmo on for a long time this morning while it hardened, and it was very uncomfortable. But it's done and I hope it will be a good one so I won't have to do it again. I went to AF and then for a hair cut, quick grocery trip and then home. Arya is in an extra cuddly mood so far today, so I guess I know where I'll be spending the afternoon. Hopefully I can get some hats finished.

Karen, the mold would cause jaw soreness in sensitive jaws. I can barely open my jaw to get the mold out. The stuff is so sticky. How is the floor of your mouth healing? I can almost picture your hats in a purple ombre. Lunch was leftover tuna casserole with sliced tomatoes on the side.
Liz, be careful on your commute tomorrow. Iggy can commiserate with working with people that don’t know what they are doing and are not open to suggestions. I hope Wally’s eyes get better soon.
Becky, I am so sorry your knee is so painful. I hope the ortho can provide the solution that is best for you. You have suffered long enough.
Linda, congrats on getting everything and more accomplished. Iggy would like your dinner plans for steak and potato.
Kathy, the Bungles may as well keep bungling and get top draft pick. Parties as an attendee are the best. I love not having to host Thanksgiving for the whole family.
I am going for an easy dinner. I have chicken thighs going into the oven for Iggy and I am going to boil some fingerling potatoes and then toss with a little EVOO and chopped fresh parsley. I have a bag of slaw left so I am going to sauté it with onion and garlic and chopped tomatoes.

Linda, funny you should mention the gizmo getting stuck. I thought that was going t happen to me today. Or it would pull what was left of the tooth out of its socket. But the tech standing there with her hand in my mouth pushing down was the worst. When I was numbed up, it didn't hurt so bad. I'm glad you got the flowers planted and I know you're glad the closet is done. I probably need to do something similar this weekend. I got a box of TJ's Sweet Thai Veggie Burgers and had one for dinner tonight. It was good! Only $2.99 for 4 burgers, which is much cheaper than the Prager's burgers and has more protein and fiber.
You know me too well, Chele. The girls hats (I plan to do 2 girls and 2 boys boxes) are an ombre that has purple, pink, charcoal, and white. I finished the first one and it turned out pretty well. I think I may use a slightly smaller hook for the next one. The tech said the floor of my mouth looks a lot better than last week. I know it hurts less. You're probably right about the benefit of the Bungles going winless and getting first draft pick. I hadn't thought about sauteing a bag of slaw. That's definitely easy. I got some fingerling sweet potatoes from the CSA last week but haven't figured out what I'll do with them.
Liz, sending good karma for a smooth commute and a low key meeting.
I think I'm going to have weather to allow a little gardening tomorrow. I need to weed, pull out some pollinator plants, and plant garlic and a fava bean cover crop in 2 or 3 of the raised beds. I hope it goes quickly, but there are a lot of weeds to pull. We're getting to watch a Lady Vols game. Good to have basketball back.

Thanks for the start Chele.
Linda I didn't even think about Bob needing a new DL after cataract surgery.
Chele I'm glad all the food you needed for Thanksgiving was on sale.Your dinner sounds good.
Kathy We had like 10 amendments we voted on and we voted early last week.I'm glad you enjoyed the family celebration. Thanks I hope the doctor will at least ok PT.
Liz I'm glad telecommuting is going pretty well.We have been in the low 80's the last 2 days and again tomorrow before a cool front.
Karen I was dressed warm and I wish it had been cooler.I don't mind seasonable temps but 80's is a little too warm.I made an ortho appointment yesterday already for this Friday at 9:00.All the doctors around here seem to work at different offices so you take what you can get.I hope this is the last impression you have to get.
