Welcome to the CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend still least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning,
Ruth - how is Stan doing today? Hoping that the monitoring device wasn’t too difficult to figure out. It makes sense to send the information directly to the drs office, hoping it goes to some sort of tracking system the dr can view.
I also have a huge todo list. I break a big project up into many minor tasks. I’m trying to complete at least one minor task a day. Trying to do it all at once doesn’t work for me.
I checked out my garage. I only park my car there when it snows, otherwise I don’t use it much. Just wanted to make sure it’s clean enough to park my car in. My snow plow guy put stakes in yesterday, he’s ready.
Nothing much going on today. I’m a bit lazy, so I’m just in puttering mode.
See ya tomorrow

Good morning all. Saw the clock once an hour all night. Nothing worrying me that I know of and no weird dreams like the last night I struggled. I still got up about 7:40 so that I could have some quiet time before everyone else got up.
Stan got up out of AFib so that’s good news. He’s still a little tired from 5+ days of it, but in a much better mood. There were great directions for putting on the device and so it went quickly. He says it’s so much nicer than the older holter monitors they made them wear. Not nearly as big and bulky nor all the leads attached to it and taped to your body.
We ran out and did a couple quick errands this morning. First we went and voted in our school board / referendum election. We have no kids in the district anymore, but we always vote for the referendums. I worked in schools for 20 years and know they need the $$$. And the district out here is growing rapidly and they need to upgrade schools and add another high school in our end of the district.
Younger DSIL has a birthday tomorrow; older DSIL had one on the 28th; and we needed birthday gifts for both. I asked younger DD this morning and she had a good idea, so we ran out and picked that up. What would guys do w/o Harbor Freight??? We had lunch out and then came home to get Mara down for a nap and I had a couple things to do before I leave for my dental appt. I will be happy to get this tooth fixed. We may still run to Target after my appt and her nap as we didn’t get there this morning.
Still working on their laundry, but making good progress. It takes longer to do it because I pour in a generous amount of the stuff to cut the cat urine smell (although none of these clothes have been very bad at all); and I do a wash for heavy soil, and then I do a 2nd rinse of it, so each load says 99 minutes. Maybe overkill, but I want it clean and fresh.
ok, need to finish up and get going. Have a good day. Hope Dottie is having a great trip.

I am having a great trip, but the wi-fi isn't cooperating for posting much. This is a very different trip from Italy. Italy was very crowded but here there aren't as many crowds but a lot of beautiful country to see. Today it rained and we were supposed to do a morning tour of Linz Austria. We skipped that and just went out for a nice walk/sightseeing after lunch. There are 2 parts to the city (old and new). The new part is due to a lot of bombing taking place during WW2. There is a steel factory in the town and that area was bombed heavily. Talking to some of the staff on the boat makes us realize how difficult it was for many of them both during the war and after when the Soviets occupied their country. The guides also point out the Soviet architecture - very sterile looking. The Soviets also didn't want to preserve the old buildings and the towns lost some old buildings and are now trying to preserve the ones that are still left.
I read quickly thru some posts. Joyce, you are doing so good with getting rid of things. Ruth, glad to hear that Stan is out of A-Fib, hope the monitor lets the doctors know how often this is happening to him. It is late - gotta get some sleep. Don't know when I will have a good connection so I can post again.
