Me time begins with a manicure and pedicure. My nails are so dry and look awful but my manicurist will make them spectacular. Tonight we are taking our children and their spouses to a great restaurant for dinner. Weekly goal is to stay within my points. Even if I am not tracking, so far I seem to know what I should and should not eat. In between events I will continue to clean up the dining room table that is covered with all sorts of gifts and Christmas wrap etc. Wednesday afternoon two of my neighbors are coming over for cookies and tea so me time will be carried over. It is cold in the mornings with a hard freeze during the night. Citrus growers have spent a lot of money this year to save their crops. I rescheduled my walks with the dog until it is at least daylight because walking in the cold when it is dark is too dangerous. She pulls me when we walk so I need to at least see where we are going. Have a great Tuesday.

jamescat1 My goal for Tuesday is to clean up the dining table too. It's had bows, ribbon, wrapping paper and bags all over it. That ended today after the grandkids came over. I took them shopping this morning to buy presents for their Mom, Dad and Grandpa. They had amazing ideas and we had fun buying things. We came to our house and wrapped the presents, had lunch and baked some cookies. It was a fun day and it gave their Mom a day to do her own shopping by herself. Enjoy your dinner with your family. Sounds like fun. I thought about you when I heard about the killings in the Christmas Market in Berlin today. So glad you're home!

Linda, not only were there killings in Berlin but a few days ago a 12 year old boy tried twice unsuccessfully to set off nail bombs in his Christmas market in western Germany. Under German law, 12 year olds cannot be put in jail so some adult used him. The markets are extremely crowded and people go to them to eat, drink and shop after work. It would be impossible to have security in such a crowded setting. I am glad we are home.

I'm truly saddened and appalled each day hearing of senseless killings and so much suffering. I don't understand how this continues in our world.
Finishing up some work projects this week so I can enjoy some time off next week. We will be getting ready for family time. Me time in the morning is visiting the boards and exercise to start my day.

Audrey: I thought of you when I heard of the Berlin Christmas Market incident. Glad you are home and safe. My husband said he heard that the crowds were down this year because people are concerned about terrorism.
Got to my WW meeting last night. The leader was joking about if anyone would come next Monday since it is the day after Christmas.
Me-time is my computer time, weekly goal is keeping up my strength exercises and working on getting in some cardio.

Good morning everyone,
Plumbers will be here soon. Bathtub delivery is between 3:30-7:00 today. 😀😀 hope all goes well getting the shower useable.
My sisters mother in law passed away this morning. She was in hospice. She was in her 80's. I only saw her a couple of times but was a very nice lady.
Talked to our daughter yesterday. The reason she did not accept the transfer is because apartment rental is so expensive here. She is paying $1300 in Vegas and would be $1800 here 30 miles away from Hollywood. Traffic is horrible. Rent in that area would be higher and smaller apartment. Not in good area to live. She is in a 2 bedroom right now. We are going to visit with her next week.
Me time - reading weekly goal - wrapping presents today, tracking everything I eat, monitoring demo of guest bathtub and installation of new one.

Tomorrow is our 37th anniversary. This is a second marriage for each of us. We never, ever imagined we would make it this long! When we first got together, I thought that a good six or eight years would be a win!
After so many years it is very hard to think of something to get each other for an anniversary gift. At this point in our lives we have very few unfulfilled desires. (That's a Sunday gratitude in itself.) DH got me a beautiful bouquet of roses from Kroger, and I think that's great!

I sat with a lady at the luncheon last week. Her daughter is a pediatric anesthesiologist at Cedars Sinai in Los Angeles and works 80 hours a week. They are concerned about having children because she and her husband, who travels a lot, would never see them. I lived in Los Angeles for many years and the traffic, costs and crowds are horrendous.

Carol Ann, that is wonderful. We have been married 43 years and it is only our first. I think the roses are a lovely gift.

ladymajky Congratulations on your anniversary! Roses are perfect. After so many years together, the flowers say it all. If you're like us, you no longer need more things. Spending time together is what counts. I'm coming up on 45 years in February (our first) and we'll go out to dinner and toast each other.

Carol - happy anniversary ❤️😀
jamescat- we live about 25 miles from Hollywood. She grew up here and knows how bad traffic is. As much as I would like her near us she would be miserable.
