BRRRR!!! It's cold! Says it's 16. We had lots of 70's in February ---this is brutal! Thankfully it won't last!
I'm just going to huddle under my blankie and drink hot tea for awhile!

It was cool last night but we'll get to the 70's today. I'm relaxing today, 2 baseball games and bowling yesterday wore me out! Although the grands are coming over after church, our usual routine!

Yes, I got spoiled pbnj. However, I've had a theory that the weather is about 6 weeks off these days, so I'm preparing to not be finished with it! I had a really lovely day yesterday, didn't step a foot out the door, but it felt so productive, inside and out. Today, I will be out, we're all having lunch in Cambridge in a bit...it's a favorite healthy restaurant, so no anxiety about it. Have a good one!

Good morning.
Very cold here today but nice and sunny.
I never got to check in yesterday because I was super busy. But I was happy to get my taxes done along with other stuff. Last night I heard this low beeping in my house and wandered around the house trying to figure it out. I mostly wanted to make sure it wasn't a smoke or carbon monoxide alarm. It was still going off this morning and driving me fricking crazy! A little while ago my sister figured out that it was the old smoke detector in the garbage. How crazy!
Have a good day everyone!

100gone the game of "which smoke detector is beeping" can be maddening! I post the boys in different spots and we just stand there and wait. Can't they add a freaking light on them when battery is low?! Sheesh!

We woke to rain this morning but still managed to get to the mall for our walk and then a quick stop at the grocery to pick up a few things. Lots of rain after we got home. The rain will hang around for a few days but that's okay because my yard needs it. I'm going to try a new recipe I saw on FB. Crumbled cauliflower, mixed with parmesan and egg and lightly fried in a skillet (form it into a "toast" shape and then add some grated cheese on top. Supposed to be similar to "grilled cheese" without the bread. Anyone else try this? DH wants to try it so I'll make it and eat 1 or 2 bites. cauliflower grilled cheese

linda72 , that looks tasty. MyNetDiary pegs the NI at:
SmartPoints: 10 PointsPlus: 7 POINTS: 8
Nutritional Information Calories: 1293 Fat: 90 g; Sat. Fat: 56 g Carbs: 42 g; Fiber: 17 g; Sugars: 16 Protein: 93 g
That NI includes the cauliflower, but the SmartPoints and PointsPlus values exclude the cauliflower.
I wonder if it would be almost as wonderful if 1/2 the cheddar cheese were subbed out with part-skim, low-fat mozzarella.
I, too, look forward to your review—with photos if you can swing it.

zazzles Wow, Mike, 10 SP? That is high. I will try to make mine with my low fat mozzarella and see if that brings it down a little. I will only try a few bites anyway. Thanks for checking on the NI.

It's back to gloom this morning, although it is current 51° @ 8:15 am.
We were supposed to have rain yesterday and clearing today; and I did get a spot of rain on the car when I was running errands, but nothing serious. I even managed an evening walk to the store and back without getting wet.
But apparently the rain came in heavily overnight and will be continuing today and tomorrow. Then cloudy until next weekend when another friggin' storm comes in. ENOUGH!
I made Light and Fluffy Blueberry Cornmeal Pancakes this morning from Marlene Koch's Quick and Easy cookbook for breakfast today. Yummy. Recipe said serves 2 with 2 pancakes per serving; I had my two, then finished frying up the rest after I age and ended up with 4 pancakes left over. I'll package and freeze to enjoy in the future.

Using 1/2 LF Mozzarella drops it to 8 SP which isn't outrageous if it is your entree and accompanied by a lot of veggies to help fill you up. For some reason "String Bean Fries" comes to mind, although I have no idea how to make those—especially in a healthful manner.

zazzles I played around with the WW tracker and changed the recipe to 2 oz. of parmesan (instead of 4) and changed all of the shredded cheese to Sargento reduced fat mozzarella cheese (which is in my fridge) and it dropped the count to 6 SP. That is better. And, changing that cheese to 1 c. total instead of 1 1/2 drops it to 5 SP. I would only eat 1/2 of 1 of the "sandwiches" and it will be a side rather than an entree.

Good morning.
Never had cauliflower that way but my Mom used to bread, egg & lightly fry the florets & it was delicious.
Still cold & windy here. I know we still have a bit of winter left. We usually seem to get a big snow in March.
Cold is not getting a whole lot better & I am staying on oxygen. Glad I had the pneumonia shot...hopefully it works. I am so exhausted 😴 But not sleeping too well. Need to tidy up the house in case I need to drag myself to the ER in the next couple of days. Of all times for my whole family to be away, lol, plus a lot of my friends. Anyway, hopefully time will take care of this cold. I should drink lots of fluids 🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷
