I will eat carefully to reduce damage done eating out yesterday. I will move a lot and drink lots of water throughout the day. It’s a routine Saturday grocery shopping and watching football.

I will:
* think - be aware
* write before I bite * be active 30 minutes * hydrate
Yesterday was a good day...four of the six pounds that found me are gone in two days back OP (hooray) so known that by staying OP and aware the rest will disappear and then more will follow.
Today we plan to go grocery shopping. I want more produce variety and also want more dry beans, tortillas, some tofu, grains, plant milks and whatever else I have on my list to continue this whole food plant based challenge (that I have less days following than not following - since I don't have the ingredients!).
ANN: What is Stephanie Plum up to these days? I imagine she is still juggling the men in her life and catching bad guys for bounty money? What number book is she on?
BEE: Congratulations on the lower weight at WI!
SUSI: Why am I in Lebanon? There are days I wonder! I met my husband on a blind date when he was "looking for a wife" while on vacation in the USA. It is a long story but after five "dates" he said he thought we had a lot in common and should write letters. We met at the beginning of the school year (I was teaching nursing) and then met again in the spring in England and I went to Lebanon to meet his family and we married in June of 1978. When we married we had spent less than 30 days together. As I said...long story condensed. We have been through wars here and in Saudi Arabia and lived in Jordan, Saudi, USA and Lebanon. Our children went to college in the USA, met their spouses there and stayed. I am here because my 80 year old husband is not ready to leave and probably never will be so we live on our nearly 7 acres in the house we built in 2000. Interesting about the rescue not releasing the older cat to you...ah well...another cat might be yours instead!
BECKY: sorry you had to reschedule the doctor's appointment.
LADONNA: How fun to celebrate the life of one of your older church members and to do so while she is still alive! Enjoy Jayleigh! I am hoping onederland will happen soon. I am thinking that I might do a completely vegan meal for the ladies on Wednesday but need to make sure it is tasty so will be checking my books for ideas...also will check online.
AUDREY: I have been dabbling with the vegan thing for a few years now and usually slide off over dairy products. I am closer than ever and need to get a few more things "together" and come up with some dairy alternatives then can see this forever...and can also see onederland sooner than later I am glad you stopped Evanovich, too, a kindred reading spirit!
PAM: Good to see you checked in and doing well.

Bee - Doing the best you can is the best you can do. Like it. Ann - Have fun running your errands and stay warm! Becky - Enjoy the auction. Hope your knees are feeling a little better today. Audrey - When I know I am eating out, I like to bracket the day before and after with lighter days. You know what to do so I am sure you will get it done. Cathy - Thank you for sharing. My late sister Kathy went on vacation to Greece, met someone, came back, sold everything and went back to Greece to be with him. Of course he wasn't there when she went back. She found a job and moved in with some American girls that she met. In the apartment upstairs was a group of political Egyptian draft dodgers. She met Fouad and the rest was history. They moved to Cairo where they got married and stayed for several years. Then he immigrated with her to the US. They had a daughter and a good life here. When he retired, they moved back to Cairo. Sadly, his lupus which had been dormant for decades reemerged and he ultimately died from the symptoms. It took her 2 years to settle everything thanks to Sharia law. Then she came home. Eventually she took up writing and has quite a few published romance books (look up Kat Attalla). I am off to feed the ferals, then the gym. Handyman is coming to tackle a "honey do" list for me. Maybe dinner with friends. If not, take out sushi. Shopping and prep work for the week both today and tomorrow.

Good morning, Bee - Ann - Becky - Audrey - Cathy - Susi - and AWF.
Just a quick post, as I head out to my WW workshop and then try to get the Kressling a haircut.
BBL. In theory, there is NOTHING ELSE on our agenda for today.

Susi, is it possible they didn't want to give you the older cat as you had just lost Charlie, and they figured she might not live too long?
Sounds like well a planned day, Ladies.
Cathy, I am not sure I could have moved that far away from my world. Don't think I have ever loved anyone like that. LOL

My weight is slowly going in the right direction. We have 3 Veteran's Day events to attend...so I'm trying very hard to do some of the balancing before that!
Carl just left with Miss LuLa...he's a very brave soul. Going to put coffee on.

Audrey You certainly know how to minimize damage.Enjoy your shopping.
Cathy Great goals and great job on the scale continuing to go down.Good luck with your grocery shopping.
Susi Knees are still the same.The auctions are rather boring to me but a friend is taking the calves for us and we will go in about an hour and hopefully be out of there by 1:00 or so.I still don't understand how your application could be denied with your work with the ferals.We have always been able to leave with a pet on the same day we fill out the application which I think is more because the shelter is always at capacity.
MJ I hope today is truly not much for you.
Ann That is way too cold for me to walk in.Our low was 38 and is already up to 49 and weather wise it looks like a nice weekend before the arctic front comes in Monday night.Bundle up.Good luck with the Veterans Day events.
Bee Have a good day.I'm with you on not being able to move that far away.I only had to move 25 miles.LOL.

Hope your day stays quiet MJ The shelter said they had a strict no outdoors policy. Like I would let an older house cat outside. Sadly/happily there are plenty of other shelters that will be more understanding.

Willing and keeping my aware glasses in place. Meals have been planned and will be tracked. I’ll also focus on hydrating and moving. The blue sky will also keep me focused. Have a healthy day everyone!

Decided to go to BJ's Warehouse and stock up. Got a lot of deals and we are set for awhile. While out we stopped at Subway for a sandwich.
Temperature isn't too bad, or at least it doesn't feel so bad LOL. No wind like we had yesterday plus plenty of sunshine makes for an easier walking day.
Miss LuLa is all set for walks for today.
Susi you are right. I'm sure you'll find a more like minded shelter to use to adopt.
Pam great job on the planning and tracking as you aim for blue.
