Good morning.
This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
Our motto is persistence, not perfection.

Hello friends and Happy Saturday.
No thread yesterday, it appears? I can't remember the last time we missed one. I know there haven't been may skipped over the years.
We had our day trip to ATL and back yesterday. I was up at 4:15a and we were out the door at 5:15a. We got home around 6p. A little later than I'd guessed, but we stopped in Guntersville on the way through and did the weekly grocery shop. By the time we got home, unloaded groceries and got everything put away, cooked dinner and cleaned the kitchen, I was wiped out. And was headed to bed by 8p so didn't even check in here.
This morning I popped a corned beef in the crockpot. It's a big one at 4.25 lbs. I'll add cabbage once the meat is tender. We'll be able to eat on that for a few days.
I hope everybody is doing okay. I'll check back later.

Good Morning....wow, I can't believe we all missed yesterday. I think I probably wrote something and got side-tracked in the middle of it and didn't get around to sending it. This morning I was up and off to the clubhouse to help get things set for the coffee this morning...got home about 10:30 and packaged up some meat into freezer packages, and did a little cooking. After checking in here, I am off to the church bazaar.
Lora - sounds like you had a very busy, but successful trip and l o n g day!

Hi Everyone,
I didnt forget but never have started the thread but with my phone not sure I can. It seems if I had been I may have been the only one anyway.
Had lunch with my friend and another acquaintance at our usual thai place. He had never been there before. Then went food shopping for my friend and a bit for myself. I think I mentioned that he was in the hospital and as of yesterday they transferred him to this rehab place. It is a long distance from where she lives and she doesnt drive. I asked her if she wanted me to drive her up there this afternoon but she wanted me to shop for her instead.
Tommorow is a hike so will be out pretty much of the day.
Lora, glad that your trip worked out well. I forget why you made the trip back.
Susie, I hope that the coffee at the clubhouse went well. Have a good night.

Good evening all. I didn't get here yesterday either, just a long day after a difficult week. Today was fun: gym, opera (Madame Butterfly, such a lovely and sad opera), dinner out at a new place, a quick trip to CVS to buy a couple of headbands - my hair gives new meaning to the word unruly - and ice cream to top it all off. Too much food but a really enjoyable day.
Enjoy your hike tomorrow, Janet. Brrr, it's a little chilly out - where will you be going? I signed up for a hike the Sunday before Thanksgiving but if it's really cold, I will bail. So nice of you as always to do the food shopping for your friend. Why doesn't she learn to drive? It seems like an essential survival skill, especially when her husband isn't well... It's nice how I have solutions for everyone else's life...
Lora, that does sound like a long day but beautiful fall pix. All the leaves are off the trees up here, looks winter-bleak.
Susie, is there a morning coffee thing at the club house every week? Again, what a nice community you have!
Nothing more from me. I'm happy to be home, just jacked up the heat. It's only 32 out and will drop another 10 overnight. Sleep well all.

I just know she never would. She says she can barely see so I think she would be a huge risk to herself and others.
