Track, move and hydrate. Walking the dog and grocery shopping helps with the moving. Our older daughter and family are coming for a turkey dinner as they wonβt be here for Thanksgiving. The sides will be salad, rice and roasted butternut squash. DH is going to barbecue the turkey. I may buy a pumpkin pie for dessert.

Getting together with friends this afternoon. There will probably be pizza and wine and maybe salad and cards. We will say goodbye for awhile to a woman who lives some here in Lebanon and some in Colorado. Was up late...2am or later...realized I had read but not reviewed a book so that took a bit more time and I kind of remembered the book but not the details. It will be a good day.
I will: * think before I eat * make healthy choices * hydrate
JUNE: Sorry that more than one issue was making life tougher this past few months. I hope the weatherproofing has been (or soon will be) completed. (((HUGS)))
AUDREY: Hope the Turkey feast will be tasty and you will enjoy time with those that come to help you eat it.
MJ: Hope the schedule for the day wasn't too tiring. Hope your friend's son comes through the surgery okay.
ANN: A couple of pounds found me, too, and just after I slipped into onederland...I will return...to onederland.
BECKY: I hope your niece's surgery "fixes" whatever is causing her pain and also hope her diagnosis is not something like lupus. Ugh to knee replacement...hope PT and medication will help. I have heard replacements do make a huge difference, though.
SUSI: You mentioned cousins...did you all grow up in the same area and stay in touch? Mine are scattered around all over the place and I only really keep in touch with one via email.
BEE: Hooray for the slide down on the scale
PAM: Glad your husband weathered surgery well and is on the mend.

Good morning
Am up early to start my day. Already skimmined tar. Ready to fix my tea. Determined to get more "normal" in my life, so checking in w/ you all. So being with you a few minutes trumps tackling another class' stack of papers.
Ann Sodium knows how to throw it's weight around! Luckily, you know how to duck and weave. (Baddddd pun intended). Am glad that you had a lovely visit w/ Donna. Have kept her & her mother in my prayers. How is Carl feeling?
Audrey Enjoy your early Thxgiving meal. Grilled turkey sounds so like Cali to me this morning. Made me think of how we grill huge steaks for Thx or Xmas when in FL w/ our nephew. Becky Am I remembering this correctly-- the gel has brought you some relief in the past. I sure hope that will be true at this time. Hope that the gel and PT can buy you some time. Sending more prayers to your dear niece.
Bee I could take that deal... colder mornings, then 70s tempt. Hope your weather eases back to what is familiar.
Cathy Good catch on realizing that you had not reviewed the one book. Juat started a CJ Box book, "Bitterroot." Very nice to squeeze in a bit of reading.
Good luck finding a solution to your laptop issue.
Mj So very, very happy to hear that Mousekeeter is having a better school year. Have kept him, his family, you, & Toots in my prayers. Glad that he will also see a psychiatrist for a medical consult. Have personally witnessed the hugely beneficial impact of a wholistic approach. Glad that dietary matters are part of the review. A healthy diet helped a lil boy that I know reduce the tendency to act out and/or get distracted.
LaDonna Hope that all is well w/ you & yours. Our neighbor borrowed R's tree stand this past weekend and took a hefty buck. We were happy for him. (Although R has found it hard to see several nice bucks & does from the kitchen window instead of his tree stand. But he liked hearing how nice his set up is and what an insanely nice spot in walking distance of his house). Our neighbor was so thoughtful. He brought was a box of ground version and a package of backstraps. Pam Am grateful that your DH has passed through that first day or do at home. (Honestly, I think it is disgraceful to send patients home do quickly). Glad that you & your DD could run an errand. A little break can be a good thing. Keeping you all in my prayers.
Susi Loving your plans for a laid back weekend. Hope the Patriots excite in the football field. After the other night, I just do not know if I want to watch theCleveland Clowns any more.

Saturday's goals Chat w/ my friends here. Slog through a second set of papers this morning, update attendance records, then calculate grades to date for those students. Hit grocery store very early. One of the places I shop most is now open at 7am. Staging a quick in & out. Count my blessings.
Yes, I deeply regret choosing the timing of the waterproofing and contractor. I have to decide whether or not to turn him for fraud & OSHA violations. Know that I will do nothing at this time. Need to get a break, care for R, figure out finances, and look for a second job first. Also we need to decide what to do about sump pump & waterproofing the other side of the house. But first we have to see whether or not we can get out another plumping contractor to reroute the sump discharge. First one gave off the same vibes as waterproofer. R & I have never had to hire these things done. It stinks.

Good morning all. Another sunny day that is supposed to be a repeat of yesterday. I'll take it!
Cathy great goals. Enjoy your day spent with friends. Yes you will return to onderland. You have great goals set up.
June I know what you mean by having to hire people...especially when they do NOT fit the bill! At times you just have to pick your battles. Wise decision to do nothing at this timer. Carl is feeling better, thanks for asking. He still gets a little discomfort, but noting like it was. We take that as a win-win.
Waving and will pop in later.

Good morning all, got busy at work Friday and the day got away from me. It was cold and rainy all day and today looks to be more of the same. Today I can eat my allotted points and then stop, drink more water and move. Got a bridal shower later. Ann, it does sound like a beautiful day for walking. glad Carl is on the mend and all is well Becky, I love soups this time of year. I don't worry too much about sodium it usually takes care of itself. Chicfila used to have a great tortilla soup but it was seasonal and I've not had it in a long time. Hope your new ortho dr can help you. Audrey, enjoy the festivities. My pumpkin pies were so good. I gave away what did not get eaten to keep myself out of it LOL Cathy, I love good pizza. That along with a salad sounds so good. Plans for the day sounds good. June, I sure hope R will be all well and ready for next Deer season. So nice of him to let the neighbor borrow the stand and that he shared with yall. praying that all comes together for you soon!

Hi LaDonna. Sorry for you cold and rainy day. Great job getting rid of the pumpkin pies. That would do me in for sure. Enjoy the bridal shower.
I just weighed in and thought that I would drop some. Instead, I added .3 It has to be sodium. Oh well...another glass of water is in order.
Enjoy your day, all. Time for coffee!

Ann - Good to hear Carl is doing better. Glad you had a nice visit. Becky - Glad the doctor doesn't want to rush into surgery but also glad it's an option. I have heard both pros and cons to the replacement. Hope lupus is not the diagnosis for your niece. Enjoy your early Thanksgiving with your family Audrey. It's tough to juggle holidays with multiple family obligations June - I'm so sorry for what you have been going through with the waterproofing contractor. Once he is completely done I would definitely consider filing charges. Is any of it covered by your homeowner's insurance? Glad R's friends can use the stand. He'll be ready next year. LaDonna - Enjoy the shower. I'm in. Ferals fed, gym done, round one of food shopping complete. Waiting to hear where we are going for dinner to I can look at the menu and plan around it. Vacuuming is up next. How exciting!

Good almost-afternoon, all!
Prayers continue for all ailing and/or stressed posters and loved ones... and thank you for your prayers for me and my family... especially for the Mouseketeer...
πππππππππ
WW workshop at 8 AM today was time to hear "the official word" on the Program updates that went into effect on Monday 11/11. I have bailed out of KSMB at the Time To Eat Diner at noon; Toots has gone over to DBigSis' house and will ride out with her and DBabySis. NASCAR Xfinity race is at 3:30 PM. And the CinderElla/Fella chores, of course, multiply like dust bunnies no matter what.
The Kressling spent the night. The HS football team is undefeated, including the first two playoff games, and he wanted to attend. So he came over after school, we fed him, and his dad texted him (and me) at about 8:30 PM to say "just go to Grandma's after the game - I'm going to bed." We don't know what time he'll go home, since we have our KSMBrunch at noon and I don't know if he'll even be awake (I know how late he stayed up, LOL). Son#1 would like his child returned by noon - not the reason for my ditching KSMB but being home makes it easier to sort out the adolescent male.
MousekeTWO really enjoyed his after-school trip to Taco Bell (a previous promise that also helped Mommy's afternoon schedule). Then he came back here for a while, to hang out with The Big One and also to have some ice cream. Last night's NASCAR truck series championship race started very late due to weather but we managed to hold on to see the result.
Mouseketeer UPDATE: MissMouse texted me at 1:30 that they were there and waiting. She texted me again at 2:36: "Normal child. Maybe a bit active but not ADHD active. More [about his] personality than [dysfunction in] brain. Slurpee time. Now we just have to decide if DrK is still the right fit or if we should try someone else."
I've got my hot cuppa close at hand... βββ...
πππππππππ Have a healthy-eating day, all! πππππππππ

Audrey Enjoy your early Thanksgiving dinner. We are having an early Thanksgiving luncheon after church tomorrow and I have no control over what the food is except I know they are supplying turkey, ham and cornbread dressing.
Ann No sodium weight yet so hopefully I drank enough yesterday.Tomorrow will be a different story after church luncheon.
Cathy Enjoy your afternoon with friends.I have heard people who have had the replacements say they wonder why they waited so long. However there are pros and cons on any surgery I know.Maybe next year.
June Always glad to see you pop in with us.I have only had gel injections in the past and they have not helped the last 3 yrs in a row.The surgeon said there is a point where they no longer work. This a gel ointment I rub on my knees.I do need to check with my insurance to see how many PT sessions they will allow before I schedule 6 weeks of PT.I hope R is feeling a little better each day.I'm so sorry you are going through so much right now. Thanks for the prayers. That woman needs all the help she can get.I think it is better not to do anything at this time. You have more than your share on your plate right now. After it's all over that could be a different story.

LaDonna I'm sorry it's cold and rainy there. We got down to 29 but it's sunny and 61 although it still feels a little chilly with the north wind.Enjoy the bridal shower.I found a Progresso Light potato soup with cheese and bacon bits and Kenneth and I split the can for lunch and he really liked it.I told him light food isn't all bad.I had a cucumber tomato salad with mine and he had cornbread.Southern tradition and all.
Susi I hope my niece doesn't have lupus either.I don't remember why but a former dr thought I had it once but it turned out I didn't so she was asking me about that too.Enjoy dinner.Yes sometimes we have such exciting things to do on weekends like vacuuming.
MJ Sometimes you just have to say no to events.Yeah for the Kresslings football team being undefeated.Maybe you and DD might look into someone different than Dr K. Not every professional is a good fit.
We ended up going to TSC and Walmart this morning.I lead such an exciting life too but the cattle need things too so off we went.By the time we came home and Kenneth did a few things outside it was 3:00 before we had lunch.Good thing we weren't hungry.LOL.
